Very hard

Beloved of All
Things are very hard right now, I'm in the middle of resuming my job search after being told that my documents and evidence for the rent arrears would not be considered. Everything is working against me now, the judges, workers and everyone are telling lies. They are winning, I can't go up against such forces. People say to trust God but at the same time get help. But where is the help? I'm am in a sea of debt, I was being mobbed at my job and had to leave. So is it better to be mobbed and abused or live in the streets. Yes, I'm not asking for a miracle, I just try to figure things out on my own because I can't wait on God to move. Bills need to be paid. The judge lied on me and now I'm incurring a debt that is not rightfully mine. So I really don't know what the use is. I'm tired, I'm tired hoping, waiting and i have to do things myself. My plans have failed and I am weak.

We hear your weariness and your honesty in this very hard season, and we join with you to bring all of this before the Lord together in Jesus' name. You are facing so much at once, the weight of rent arrears and debt that feels unjust, a job search after being mobbed at work, and the deep discouragement of feeling that judges and workers have spoken lies against you and that everything is working against you. It is understandable that you feel weak and that your plans have failed and you are tired of hoping and waiting.

We want to gently address what you shared about trying to figure things out on your own because you cannot wait on God to move. We understand that bills need to be paid and the pressure is immediate, but Scripture teaches us that waiting on God is not passive inaction, it is active trust while we also do what is right before Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Isaiah 40:29-31 reminds us He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. Waiting is not God ignoring your need, it is Him strengthening you to endure and guiding your steps as you continue to seek work and help.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and hope in these trials. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon Jesus, to confess your need for Him as Savior, to believe that He died and rose again for you, and to bring every burden to Him directly in His name. It is in His name that God hears us and provides grace for today.

God sees the injustice you describe. When lies are told and a debt is placed on you that is not rightfully yours, the Lord is not blind to it. He is a God of justice and truth. Psalm 9:9 says Yahweh will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble. Proverbs 19:5 says A false witness shall not be unpunished. He shall not escape who pours out lies. Even when earthly judges fail, there is a higher Judge who knows the truth and will not forsake you. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

You asked where is the help when people say to trust God but also get help. We believe God often provides help through His people and through practical means as we trust Him. We encourage you not to walk this alone. Please continue to seek godly counsel, reach out to a local Bible believing church for support, and look for legal aid or community advocacy services that may help you review your documents and evidence for the rent arrears, even if one door has closed. For your job search after leaving a place where you were mobbed and abused, we affirm that you did not have to remain in abuse, and we pray God opens a door to work where you are treated with dignity. No one should have to choose between abuse and living on the streets, and God cares about your daily provision. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

We want to pray with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is exhausted, in debt, and feeling overwhelmed by forces that feel too strong to fight. Lord, You see the truth about the rent arrears, the documents, the words spoken by judges and workers, and You know what is just. We ask You to be their defender and provider. Give wisdom for the job search, open doors for honest work, and provide for every bill and need according to Your riches. When they feel weak, Lord, show that Your grace is sufficient, for 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Renew their strength as they wait on You, lift the heaviness of this sea of debt, and bring helpers and advocates who will speak truth on their behalf. Guard their heart from despair and help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lead them to trust You while also taking the next faithful steps You put before them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing these burdens to the Lord each day in Jesus' name, even with simple honest prayers, and to keep taking the small faithful steps you can, applying for work, seeking wise help, and documenting everything truthfully. Galatians 6:9 says Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. God has not forgotten you, and even when plans fail, Romans 8:28 reminds us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. You are not alone in this fight. Keep looking to Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted and He hears your cry.

We hear how worn down you are right now. Trying to restart a job search while carrying rent arrears, debt, and a court decision that felt unfair would leave anyone exhausted. When it feels like judges, workers and everyone around you is against you, it makes sense you would feel you have to figure everything out alone, and that waiting feels impossible when bills are due.

You are not forgotten in this. The kind of ongoing pressure you describe, financial worry, the loss of a job where you felt mobbed, and the weight of being believed against, wears on both body and spirit when there is no time to recover. It does not mean you are failing. It means you have been carrying a lot for a long time without enough support.

If it would help, one steady next step could be to let someone walk with you on the practical side. A local legal aid clinic or tenant assistance service can sometimes review housing papers a second time even after a decision, and a nonprofit financial counselor, often available through churches or community agencies without charge, can help sort debts and prioritize bills. Even one trusted person to sit with you while you make those calls can lighten the load a bit. If the tiredness and strain are affecting your sleep or health, please consider talking with your doctor as well alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the debt, the job search, and the deep weariness from trying to hold it all together. Give rest where there has been no rest, wisdom for each next decision, and bring trustworthy help alongside. Show Your care in concrete ways and keep our friend in Your hands. Amen.

To read of your weariness has burdened our hearts before the Lord, and we have carried your sorrow to the throne of grace. You speak of judges who will not hear you, of workers who speak what is false, of debts that are not rightfully yours, of a workplace where you were mobbed and had to leave, and now the hard road of seeking work again while bills press upon you. To be told that your documents and evidence would not be considered, to feel that every force is against you and that your plans have failed, is enough to make the strongest spirit faint. That you say you are tired, tired of hoping and waiting, is no strange confession. Many of the Lord's tried people have been brought to the same place.

Hear then what the Word of God says to such a soul. Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any. He is mighty in strength and wisdom. When Job in the bitterness of his soul thought that God had despised him, he learned that the Lord has no need to do injustice to the least of His creatures. Strict justice shall be dealt out to every individual as impartially as if he were the only creature God had ever made. Though judges may lie and workers may turn against you, though a debt be laid upon you that is not yours, the Lord sees and He does not despise your cause nor your person. You may feel forgotten and passed by, as if you must perish unnoticed, but the mighty God despiseth not the cry of the weak and weary.

And this mighty God is a waiting God. The prophet says, Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you. How the heart of God yearns toward His people in long forbearance. When everything has broken down and our own schemes have come to nothing, we find Him still lovingly waiting, graciously waiting, ready to pardon and to help. There is a singular patience in His waiting, and there is a final success to it. When God has waited for the soul, that soul is brought to wait on Him. His patience toward His chosen is not in vain. The Almighty is not defeated, even when you feel defeated.

You write that people tell you to trust God and yet to get help, and you ask where is the help, and whether it is not better to do things yourself because you cannot wait for God to move. We understand the pressure that makes you speak so. Bills must be paid, and waiting is hard when the sea of debt rises. Yet the Scripture says, My soul, wait thou only upon God. Calvin rendered it, Be thou silent before God. Rest calm and undisturbed. Waiting upon the Lord is not a spasmodic energy by which we begin and then grow cold, but a constant flow of vigor so that we go from strength to strength. They that wait on the Lord shall not want any good thing. That is the right kind of independency, to know no dependence except upon God.

To wait only upon God does not mean to sit idle, nor to refuse lawful help where God provides it. It means to hang your faith, as the world hangs, upon nothing but the promise of God, and to float, as the stars float, upheld only by the right hand of the Majesty on high. It means to seek Him first and most, even as Job cried, Oh that I knew where I might find Him. Job went forward and backward, on the left hand and on the right, and could not perceive Him, yet he would make no condition about where he might find God, if only he might find Him. So we counsel you, in your prayer and in connection with it, to meditate on divine things, especially on the Person of Christ, God and man, and on His atoning sacrifice, and on the promises which cannot fail. Then call, and He will answer, or let Him speak, and do you answer Him. Pour out before Him the whole story of the rent arrears, the unjust judgment, the mobbing you endured, the fear of the streets.

We will pray for you, that the God who whispers to His own, Thou art Mine, would speak that word to you anew. That He would give you daily bread and daily strength for the job search, that He would open a door for honest labour where you are not abused, that He would provide counsel and advocacy where evidence has been refused, and that He would keep you from the despair which says there is no use. You are not left to fight such forces alone. We are utterly dependent upon God, and it is better to trust in the Lord than to have confidence in man, better to trust in the Lord than to have confidence in princes.

May the Lord who waits to be gracious show you that He has been waiting for this very hour to display His mercy. May He lift you from this low place, not by your own failing strength, but by His mighty hand, and give you to say with thanksgiving, Thanks be unto God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. We entreat you, do not turn away from waiting upon Him. Keep seeking Him, keep asking, keep knocking, for He despiseth not any that come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We commit you to His keeping, and we ask Him to supply your needs, to vindicate what is true, to guard your heart from bitterness, and to renew your strength as you wait upon Him.

May the consolations of God, which are not too small for you, sustain you till joy comes in His perfect time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words have been heard, and the heaviness you carry is clear. You are pressed on every side by debt, by a job where you were mobbed until you had to leave, by a court that would not hear your evidence and by a judge you feel has lied about you, and now by a new search for work while bills keep coming. You are tired of hoping and waiting, and you feel you must figure things out on your own because you cannot wait for God to move. That weariness itself is part of the trial, and it is right to bring it into the light.

Scripture shows us that loss of goods and even injustice from others does not by itself have the power to injure the soul. We are masters of whether we are injured or not injured. A thief may break in and carry off what is precious, and it feels like only loss, but it depends on us whether it becomes loss or gain. Job showed how it becomes gain when he said, The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I will depart. Blessed be the name of the Lord. The enemy causes losses not simply to take away money or standing, but to compel us to speak against God. That is what he tried with Job, even using his wife to say, say a word against the Lord and die. He had already taken Job's property and children, but that was not enough for him. He wanted to take away trust in God. When you feel that everything is working against you and that lying voices are winning, remember that the deepest battle is over whether you will keep your trust in God or turn away in bitterness.

You asked where help is when people tell you to trust God and also get help. You have a Debtor who is not poor and not unwilling to pay. Why leave Him and demand help only from poor and wretched mortals. God has unspeakable treasures and indescribable generosity, and He is pleased when you lay hold on Him and ask Him directly for what you need. He feels it as an honor when you come to Him as the One who owes you love and care as His child, rather than running only to others. To seek Him is not to sit idle. It is to pray with persistence, to ask for daily bread and for wisdom, and to expect Him to act according to His goodness.

At the same time God has made us members of one another, and we owe love to our brothers and sisters through that spiritual relationship. If love leaves us, the whole body is torn apart. This means you are not meant to figure everything out alone. The help God often provides comes through His people. Please do not stay alone in this sea of debt and discouragement. Make your needs known to faithful pastors and to the church family where you are, so they can stand with you, pray with you, help you look for trustworthy legal advice, for assistance with rent arrears, and for work. To ask for that help is not a failure of trust, it is part of how God sustains His body.

It is also true that we are tempted to seek God only for bread, only for the bill to be paid or the judge to be corrected. Those needs are real and God cares about them, but they are small compared to knowing Christ Himself. If we cling only to the small gifts and despise the great gift of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, we risk losing even the small things. If we love Him first, He adds what we need in His way and time. Money itself is called currency because we are to use it rightly, not bury it or be buried by it. Your debt that is not rightfully yours is a heavy injustice, and God sees it fully even when a court does not.

You spoke of being mobbed and abused at work and wondering whether it is better to endure abuse or live in the streets. God does not ask you to remain where you are destroyed. Leaving that place was not weakness. But now do not let the wrong done to you become a root of lasting bitterness. It is more our duty to forgive trespasses than to forgive debts of money. If you forgive debts you have not yet imitated God, but if you forgive trespasses you imitate Him, and that forgiveness is not loss but wealth and abundance in the soul. This does not mean what was done was right, or that you should not seek lawful and wise protection. It means releasing the right to vengeance into God's hands so your heart is not consumed.

Job was able to stand when ruin came upon his fortune, his children, his health, and when his wife and friends added reproach, because he had exercised himself well before the conflict and had practiced freedom from despondency. You feel now that your plans have failed and you are weak. Do not be faint hearted or fall down near the end through weariness. The Scripture says, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees. That lifting is done day by day, in prayer, in the Word, in gathering with other believers, in taking the next small faithful step in your job search and in seeking counsel for your case.

We are praying for you now, that the Lord Jesus Christ who alone is our salvation will be near to you in this hard place, that He will guard your heart from despair and from speaking rashly against Him, that He will provide for your daily needs, give you wisdom for each bill and each decision, open a door for honest work, and bring truth to light where lies have been spoken. We pray He will surround you with people who will not lie to you but who will love you as members of the same body, and that He will give you strength to wait on Him without letting go of His hand while you also take the practical steps before you.

If you can, please reach out again to a local church you trust and let them know the details of the rent arrears, the court decision, and the job search, so they can walk with you in person. You do not have to carry this alone.
