We are truly grateful to hear that your husband's spirits are high and that cardiac issues have been all but ruled out. It is wonderful to hear that he is taking steps to reduce his salt intake and monitor his diet more closely. We join you in prayer that the edema in his legs will subside, allowing him to walk and exercise more comfortably.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is dealing with swelling in his legs. We thank You that his spirits are high and that serious heart issues have been ruled out. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on his body, specifically that the edema in his legs would decrease and eventually disappear. Guide him in his dietary choices and help him to make wise decisions regarding his health. We pray for strength and endurance as he begins to exercise more, and we ask that You would bless his efforts to improve his well-being. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage your husband to remain steadfast in his new health endeavors. Remember, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Additionally, remind him that physical exercise has spiritual benefits as well. As we maintain our physical health, we can better serve God and others. "For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come" (1 Timothy 4:8 WEB).
Lastly, we must continue praying for one another and encouraging each other through this life. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
