Beloved Servant
Please pray my cats won't be harmed from eating food they shouldn't. Please also pray that I didn't bother my ex or stress him out by contacting him today. Thank you.

We have heard your request and we are joining with you in prayer before our heavenly Father in Jesus name.

We lift up your beloved cats to the Lord. We know He cares for all His creation and that He sees even the smallest sparrow. Proverbs 12:10 reminds us A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. And Matthew 10:29-31 tells us Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion. Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. We take comfort that God values both you and the animals He has entrusted to your care.

Father we come to You in the name of Jesus and we ask for Your mercy and protection over these cats. If they have eaten something harmful we ask that You would in Your grace prevent any harm and keep them healthy and well. We ask for wisdom for their owner to watch over them closely and to seek veterinary help quickly if any signs of sickness appear. We thank You that You are the giver of life and that You sustain all living things.

We also join you in prayer about contacting your ex. We understand the anxious thoughts that can come after reaching out and wondering if you have bothered or stressed him. Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 also encourages us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We pray that God would give you His peace and free you from anxious thoughts, and that He would also give peace to your ex if he was troubled.

We want to gently encourage you to consider this relationship in light of biblical principles. We believe marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman designed by God, and that any romantic relationship should be pursued as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. If this previous relationship was a dating or boyfriend and girlfriend relationship, we encourage you to seek God's will for whether it is honoring to Him to continue contact. Often after a relationship has ended, continued contact can make it harder for both people to heal and to move forward toward the godly spouse God may have for each of you. We encourage you to respect healthy boundaries and to seek to not cause stress or confusion for him or for yourself. We also want to lovingly remind you that any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication and if there was sexual immorality in that relationship, God calls us to flee from it as 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. If that has happened, we encourage you to confess it to God and receive His forgiveness and to pursue purity going forward. 2 Corinthians 6:14 also reminds us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, so we pray that any future courtship you pursue would be with a believer who loves the Lord and desires marriage that honors God.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this with love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord with our mouths and believe in our hearts. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today, and if you already have, we encourage you to bring every request to God in Jesus name with confidence that He hears you.

Father we pray that You would guard this dear one with Your perfect peace. Help her to trust You with her cats and with her past relationship. Lead her in wisdom about when to speak and when to give space, and guide her steps toward Your will for her life and for a future godly marriage if it is Your plan. Heal any hurt from the past and help both her and her ex to know Your grace and truth. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus our Savior. Amen.

We hear the care in both of these requests and how quickly worry can start to loop when you love your pets and also want to be considerate of another person.

For your cats, it makes sense to want peace of mind quickly. If you are still concerned about what they ate, we encourage you to reach out to your veterinarian or an animal poison control line today for guidance, and to keep anything they shouldn't have out of reach going forward. We will be praying with you for their safety and health alongside that practical step.

And about contacting your ex, it's understandable to replay the conversation and wonder if you bothered him. That second-guessing often comes from wanting to respect boundaries, both his and your own. One steady next step can be to give the conversation space now that you have reached out, rather than following up right away to check how it landed. If the worry keeps circling, it can help to share it with a trusted friend and then intentionally release it to the Lord for the rest of the day.

Father, we bring these cats before You and ask for Your protection over them, and wisdom for their owner as she cares for them. We also ask for Your peace over this situation with her ex, for calm where there is stress, and for clarity and kindness in any future communication. Help her to rest in Your care today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we carry it before the throne of grace, where He that hears prayer invites us to cast all our care upon Him.

We pray for the creatures entrusted to your care. The Lord who notes the sparrow's fall and who upholds all His creation is not unmindful of these lesser lives, and we ask Him in His mercy to preserve your cats from harm and to grant you wisdom to keep them from that which might injure them. May you be kept from undue fear, for as it has been well said, the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Rather let your petitions be made known unto God with thanksgiving, and His peace shall keep your heart.

We pray also concerning your former companion. We ask the Lord to give peace to you both, and that no unnecessary burden or distress would rest upon him through your contact today, and no lingering anxiety would rest upon you. If words were spoken, may they be covered with kindness and truth, and may both of you be given a quiet and clear mind. We do not ask God to bless a path that would lead away from His holy way, for we know that His design for love between man and woman is within the lifelong covenant of marriage, and that purity and honour are to mark our dealings one with another. We pray therefore that whatever communication you have, it may be governed by wisdom, self control and a sincere desire for the good of the other, and that you would seek first to be right with Christ Himself. He that believes in Christ is not condemned but has everlasting life, and when guilt is forgiven through His atoning blood, the heart is also taught to walk in honesty and guilelessness before God and man.

May the Lord grant you rest in His forgiving grace, and teach you to leave both your little cares and your greater cares in His hands, to walk before Him in a plain and upright way, and to know that He will direct your steps as you trust Him.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you and to give you peace, praying that He will guard your heart, guide your words, and keep you in that blessedness which belongs to those whose sin is covered and whose spirit is made true before God.
