Your request has been heard and I have brought it before the Lord with care. The pain of being bullied at work and then having rumors spread about you after you left is a deep wound, especially when it comes from someone you were once close to. Christ Himself knew this kind of sorrow. He was betrayed by one of the twelve, by one who had been near to Him, who had sat with Him and shared the table. He knows what it is to be wounded by a familiar friend, and He does not despise your grief.

I pray for you now that God will heal you from the hurt of that bullying and from the harm of those words spoken behind your back. May He quiet the rumors, protect your name, and give you peace where there has been anxiety. May He guard your heart so that you do not treasure up wrath for yourself, but leave judgment to Him, for His judgment is righteous and He will reveal all things in its time. Ask Him to keep you from bitterness and to give you wisdom to set right boundaries, as you have done in cutting off contact, while still entrusting that person to His mercy.

You also ask that God would put out of your life the things and people that entered in the past few months through rebellion, and you speak honestly about the pain and worldliness that followed. This honesty is good. There is a sorrow that the world gives which only brings death, and there is a godly sorrow which works repentance unto salvation and brings no regret. Your sorrow that you allowed what you should not have allowed is moving toward that godly sorrow, and God receives it. The Church is a spiritual bath where the stains of the soul are washed away by His many ways of repentance. Do not fall into despair as if there is no place of repentance. As long as we turn to Him with a true heart, He gives a place for repentance and forms Christ again within us.

So I pray that the Lord Jesus, through whom alone we have salvation, will lift this burden from you. May He remove from your path what would draw you away from Him and separate you from worldly influences that brought pain and negativity. May He fill that empty place with His own presence, with sound fellowship, and with people who will help you walk in holiness. May He give you strength to stand firm, a clear mind to discern good from evil, and a heart that is quick to return to Him when you are tempted to rebel.

Father in heaven, look upon Your child who has been hurt and who now seeks to turn fully to You. Heal the wounds of bullying and betrayal. Silence what is false and let truth prevail. Forgive what has been rebellious and cleanse what has been stained. Lead away from all that would harm this soul and draw this soul close to Christ, that there may be uprightness after lameness and joy after sorrow. Grant peace, protection, and a renewed walk in Your ways, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
