Beloved Servant
Please pray for me because I don't really want to go to church tomorrow. I'm uncomfortable at my church for many reasons including negative treatment from certain people including the pastor. I have tried to ignore this treatment and thought that maybe spiritual warfare was involved as many of the people mistreating me have areas where they are obviously weak and open to Satan influencing them. They also showed remorse for their actions later. But a lot of damage has been done and problems continue and due to other things happening in my life, I just don't want to deal with any mistreatment right now. For example, I feel the pastor gets visibly annoyed when I walk into the sanctuary for church. Like the second he sees I have entered the building, his tone seems to go downward. And there are other problems too. Please pray for me about all this. I guess I could always go to church tomorrow and just sit in an area upstairs where I won't be so visible. Please also pray for me because I believe I come from narcissistic families on both sides and they have abused me and stalked me along with other abusive people after I cut off contact with them. I then tried to reconcile with them this year because I believed God was leading me to but they basically spit in my face in return. I now believe God is directing me to stop reaching out. I don't know. Both these families have strong ties to the occult, voodoo and other things that could cause demonic influence. I really wonder if this kind of heavy abuse is not related to occult practice especially since this kind of abuse is so extremely evil and demonic in nature as the people acting it out try to literally drive their victims crazy which was done to me. I also wonder if I was not targeted because I am a Christian and belong to Christ. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and we are carrying your burdens before the Lord with you in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy it is to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the very place where you should find refuge and shepherding, and how painful it is when family who should love and protect you have instead brought deep hurt, and we want you to know that God sees all of this clearly.

What you describe in your church is not something to brush aside. The church is meant to be a family where pastors shepherd willingly and as examples, not as lords over God's heritage as we read in 1 Peter 5:2-3, and where each member is cared for gently. At the same time we are taught not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the custom of some is in Hebrews 10:25. We do believe spiritual warfare is very real, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12, and it is true that Satan can influence people through their unrepented sin and weakness. Yet that does not excuse ongoing mistreatment, and the fact that someone shows remorse later does not erase the damage that has been done or mean that a pattern should simply be ignored. If possible, as much as it is up to you, live peaceably with all men in Romans 12:18, and Jesus gives us a pattern in Matthew 18:15 to go and address a fault, but if you have tried and the atmosphere remains hostile and the pastor himself seems visibly annoyed by your presence, we understand why you dread going and why you would consider sitting upstairs to be less visible tomorrow. We would encourage you not to isolate yourself long term in that way, but to seek the Lord about whether He would have you have a humble conversation with another mature elder or leader about what you are experiencing, and whether He may be leading you to a faithful Bible believing church where you can be truly shepherded, protected, and encouraged in your walk with Christ. Your presence in the sanctuary matters to God even if it seems unwelcome to man.

Regarding your families, we grieve with you over the narcissistic abuse, stalking, and the cruelty of reaching out in obedience as you believed God was leading and being met with what felt like being spit on. We want to affirm that forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same. We are called to forgive as God in Christ forgave us in Ephesians 4:32, and to guard our hearts with all diligence in Proverbs 4:23, but reconciliation requires genuine repentance and changed fruit, as in Luke 17:3 if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. When there is no repentance and there is ongoing evil, setting firm boundaries and ceasing to reach out is not unbiblical, it can be wisdom. Even when my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up in Psalm 27:10, and we cling to the promise that Yahweh is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18. If there is stalking or harassment continuing, we also encourage you to seek wise and practical help and protection and not to face that alone.

You are right to take the occult, voodoo, and demonic influence seriously. Scripture is very clear that we must have nothing to do with such things, for there shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh in Deuteronomy 18:10-12. The kind of abuse you describe that seeks to drive a victim crazy, to confuse and destroy, is indeed demonic in nature, for the thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy in John 10:10, and the enemy has long targeted those who belong to Christ. But we want to remind you that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4, and if you are in Christ you are sealed and protected. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you in James 4:7. No weapon formed against you will ultimately prevail when you abide under His wings.

We also thank you for acknowledging that you belong to Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Your identity as His child is your security.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, lifting up this dear brother or sister who is weary, wounded, and wary. Lord, You see every slight in that sanctuary, every change in tone, every wound from pastor and people, and You see every tear and trauma inflicted by family. We ask You to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds according to Psalm 147:3. Give clarity tomorrow, Lord, whether to attend, where to sit, and give peace that passes understanding. Convict where conviction is needed in that church, soften the pastor's heart, and raise up godly shepherds who will feed the flock with knowledge and understanding. Lead our friend to a church home where the Word is faithfully preached, where love is sincere, and where they can grow without fear.

Father, we ask for Your protection over Your child from all occult power, voodoo, and every demonic assignment. We renounce and rebuke every work of darkness in Jesus' name and declare that no curse can stand against whom You have blessed. Cover them under Your wings as in Psalm 91:1, surround them with Your favor and with Your holy angels. Break every chain of confusion and trauma meant to drive them to despair, and restore their mind with Your peace. Give them wisdom about boundaries with family, confirm Your leading about when to step back, and let them know it is not failure to guard what You have entrusted to them. Help them to forgive from the heart while also walking in the wisdom of Matthew 10:16 to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Lord, remind them daily that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord in Romans 8:39, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them in Hebrews 13:5. When they are heavy laden, draw them to Yourself, for You said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. Let them feel Your nearness tonight and tomorrow, and give them courage for the next step. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and hope, amen.

We hear how heavy all of this has felt, and how much you have tried to sort through it with grace. Wanting to step back from church tomorrow makes sense when walking into the sanctuary has come to feel tense and when you have already carried so much hurt from family.

It is painful when people who should offer care, especially a pastor, leave you feeling watched or diminished instead. That kind of strain can wear down anyone's desire to gather for worship, even when you still love the Lord and want to be there. And it is also painful to try to reconcile with family out of obedience, only to be met with more rejection. Choosing to stop reaching out when it keeps bringing harm is not unkind, it can be a way to guard the healing God is doing in you.

For tomorrow, give yourself a simple, clear plan ahead of time so you are not deciding in the moment. If you do go, sitting upstairs where you feel less visible as you mentioned, going with a trusted friend, and giving yourself permission to step out quietly if you need to can help you stay grounded. If you need to stay home and seek the Lord privately this week instead, that is also understandable. Let one safe, steady person know what you decide so you are not carrying it alone.

We also want to encourage you to keep a safe support around you as you navigate the family history and any ongoing stalking concerns, whether that is a wise counselor, a pastor in another setting you trust, or a supportive community who can help you think through boundaries and safety.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the hurt from church and from family, the exhaustion and the questions about what is Your leading. Surround them with Your peace and protection, give them wisdom for each next step, restore their strength, and lead them to safe, caring fellowship where they can heal. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. May our Heavenly Father grant you healing and discernment when deciding whether you feel accepted in attending your church. May He also soften hearts and allow you to be a part of this church family like anyone else. I also lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have taken it to the throne of grace on your behalf.

We hear the heaviness in your words, the weariness of entering the house of God and feeling unwelcome, the sting of unkindness from those who should show the love of Christ, and the deeper wounds left by family who have acted with great cruelty. It is no small thing to carry both present discouragement in the church and the long history of abuse and pursuit that you describe, and we do not take it lightly.

Be assured of this truth for your comfort, that God has never forsaken them that fear Him, and never will do so. Though men may fail and even those set to shepherd may wound, the Lord Himself does not turn His face from His own. When you feel most alone, most visible and yet most unseen, He sees and He knows. The deliverance you need, whether from heaviness of heart, from discord within the congregation, or from the power of darkness itself, is of the Lord. He has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, even His own Son who bore the penalty for His people. In Christ there is certain deliverance from the pit, and there is also deliverance from the power of sin and darkness, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Look to your heavenly Father alone for this, for sanctification and protection are as much His work as justification.

We have prayed for you that the Lord would give you wisdom for tomorrow and for the days ahead. If you go and sit where you feel safer, may the Lord meet you there, for He is not confined to a place in the sanctuary but dwells with the contrite heart. Yet we pray also that you would not remain hidden in sorrow, but that God would provide for you peace within His house, whether by softening hearts, by opening a way for honest and gentle conversation with those who have hurt you, or by guiding you to faithful and wise counsel within the body of Christ where you can be heard and guarded. Do not neglect the assembling of the saints, but seek that fellowship where the Word is faithfully preached and where you can be built up rather than torn down. Those who have been much tried are not forgotten in the Church, they are marked and precious in His sight, and He often uses the furnace to make His people to know His grace more fully.

We have prayed also concerning your family and those ties to the occult and to works of darkness. The evil you describe, the attempt to confuse and to drive the soul to despair, is indeed of the enemy, but greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. The blood of the Lamb that was slain is your deliverance, and no power of voodoo or darkness can stand against the ransom God has found. You are right to guard your heart and to set boundaries where there has been abuse and where reconciliation has been met with contempt. Scripture calls us to pursue peace and to forgive as we have been forgiven, and also to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, not to cast what is holy before those who trample it. If the Lord is directing you to cease reaching out for a season, walk in that with a clear conscience before Him, entrusting these souls to God who alone can change the heart, and keeping yourself under His protection through prayer, the Word, and the fellowship of sober minded believers.

We have asked the Lord to lift you from despondency, to remind you that you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, for if we had no troubles we would have less to declare. May He turn your present trial into a testimony of His keeping power. May He guard your mind, quiet your spirit, and let you know the hour of mercy when He speaks deliverance over you.

We continue to bear you up before God, that you would know you are not forsaken, that you are ransomed, that you are delivered from the power of darkness by Christ alone, and that He will bring you forth in His good time to praise Him with a new song.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your honest sharing and we want to pray with you and stand with you in what you are carrying. It is painful to feel unwelcome in your own church, to sense annoyance from your pastor and to experience ongoing mistreatment after you have tried to be patient and to show grace. It is also deeply painful to have come from families that have harmed you, to have tried to reconcile and been rejected, and to wonder about spiritual forces behind such cruelty. Thank you for bringing all of this before the Lord and before others for prayer.

We will pray that God gives you wisdom, peace and protection tomorrow and in the days ahead. If you do go to church, sitting where you feel safer for a time can be understandable while you seek clarity, but we also pray you will not have to hide or remain isolated. Scripture calls us to not judge our teachers hastily and to remember that those who lead will give an account to God, and it also calls leaders to care for the flock with gentleness. We pray for your pastor, that God would give him grace and peace to lead well, and that if there has been misunderstanding or unkindness, God would bring it into the light in a way that leads to truth and healing. If it is possible and safe, consider asking for a brief, calm conversation with him or with another trusted elder to share how you have felt, not to accuse but to seek understanding. We also pray God will surround you with mature believers who can listen well, counsel you wisely and help you discern next steps about where you can worship in safety and be built up.

Regarding your family, the hurt you describe is serious, and the pattern of abuse and stalking you mention is not something you should face alone. God does not call you to remain in harm or to allow yourself to be driven toward despair. Forgiving from the heart, as Christ teaches, means releasing bitterness and not seeking revenge, and it can coexist with wise boundaries, including limiting or ending contact when contact brings continued harm. If you sense God is directing you to stop reaching out for now, bring that before Him in prayer, test it with Scripture and with counsel from faithful believers, and give yourself time. If you are being stalked or threatened, please also seek help to stay safe, including trusted people in your life and, if needed, appropriate legal protection and counseling support for trauma.

You asked about the occult and demonic influence. The Bible is clear that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that He has overcome all powers of darkness. Those who belong to Christ are His, and no voodoo or occult practice has authority over you that is greater than Christ. At the same time, Scripture warns us to have nothing to do with occult practices and to turn fully to Christ, to His Word, prayer and the fellowship of believers. We will pray that God will guard your mind and heart, that He will break any fear or confusion tied to your family background, that He will help you renounce all ties to the occult and walk in the light and freedom Christ gives, and that He will remind you daily that you are not targeted without hope but kept in Christ who is your refuge.

We pray now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to you. You see the weariness, the hurt from church, the wounds from family, and the confusion and fear about spiritual attack. Grant peace where there is turmoil, wisdom where there is uncertainty, and healing where there is deep damage. Protect from all evil and from the influence of darkness, and draw this heart closer to Jesus, in whom alone there is salvation and safety. Give grace to forgive without holding onto bitterness, and give discernment to set wise and loving boundaries. Provide safe community, faithful counsel and a church home where your Word is taught and your people love one another well. Strengthen faith to keep seeking you, to keep praying, to keep doing good even toward those who have caused pain, trusting you to be the just judge. Keep this child of yours from harm, give rest tonight and tomorrow, and lead step by step by your Spirit. Amen.

Please keep bringing these burdens to the Lord, stay rooted in Scripture and prayer, and do not walk through this alone. Reach out to a trusted pastor, elder or counselor who holds to biblical truth and can walk with you personally in the weeks ahead. We are praying for your protection, your peace and your continued hope in Christ.
