We have heard your many requests and we join with you together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, bringing each burden to Him who cares deeply for you.
We first want to lift up your desire for freedom from sexual addiction and maladaptive daydreaming. We understand you have shared there are reasons why you struggle, and we have compassion for the pain and history that may have contributed to these patterns. At the same time we must speak truth in love, for God's Word is clear that sexual intimacy is designed by God to be enjoyed only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and any sexual activity outside of that design is fornication and sin before God. We are called to flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says flee sexual immorality, and 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says this is the will of God, that you should be holy, that you should abstain from sexual immorality. Maladaptive daydreaming often involves escaping reality and allowing the mind to dwell on fantasies that do not honor God, and we are called to take every thought captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and Romans 12:2 calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. There is hope and a way out, for 1 Corinthians 10:13 promises that God is faithful and will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. We encourage you to walk in repentance, to seek consistent accountability with mature believers, to remove sources of temptation, to immerse yourself in Scripture, and to pursue counseling that is grounded in biblical truth.
We also join you in praying for the African American community. We agree that false teachings and wolves that harm the flock must be exposed and removed. Jesus warned in Matthew 7:15 to beware of false prophets who come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves, and Acts 20:29 speaks of savage wolves coming in not sparing the flock. We pray God will raise up faithful shepherds and teachers who preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise, who will not lead people astray for gain or popularity, but who will rightly divide the word of truth. Ephesians 4:14 reminds us we should no longer be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. We pray for discernment for the people to recognize truth and to hunger for sound doctrine rather than teachings that tickle the ears as warned in 2 Timothy 4:3.
We hear your cry for healing and protection from racism and hatred. We want you to know that God shows no partiality. Acts 10:34 says God does not show favoritism, and Galatians 3:28 declares we are all one in Christ Jesus. Every person is made in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. While hatred in this fallen world is real and painful, we pray for your protection, for God to be your shield. Psalm 121:7 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil, He will keep your soul. We also pray for healing in your heart from the wounds this hatred has caused, and we entrust justice to God, for Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to the Lord, He will repay. We pray God will soften hard hearts around you and bring comfort and dignity as His beloved child.
We bring your business before the Lord as well. We pray He will provide for your needs according to His riches. Philippians 4:19 says our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray He will grant you wisdom, diligence, and favor, and that the hurdles you are facing in starting your business would be overcome as you commit your work to Him. Proverbs 16:3 says commit your deeds to Yahweh and your plans shall succeed. We pray your business would be built with integrity and stewardship for His glory, and that whatever success He grants would be used to honor Him. Colossians 3:23 reminds us to work heartily as for the Lord.
We also pray with you against the demonic harassment that has targeted you for years. We do not take this lightly, for Ephesians 6:12 reminds us our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Yet we do not fear, for 1 John 4:4 says greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and James 4:7 tells us to be subject therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. We pray you will daily put on the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6:11, stand firm in the authority given to you in Jesus Christ, and walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.
We lift up your physical suffering with your menstrual cycles and the condition that makes them worse physically and mentally. The Lord sees your pain and is compassionate toward His daughters. He is the One who heals. Psalm 103:2 says bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray for your healing and strength right now in this difficult time, for relief from pain, for emotional stability and peace, and for a cure not only for you but for all women who suffer with this same condition. We pray you will know His comfort and that He will sustain you, for Isaiah 41:10 says do not be afraid, for I am with you, I will strengthen you.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, to confess Him as Lord, and to turn from sin to follow Him. Romans 10:9 says if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name we pray and find deliverance from sin, from oppression, and from every chain.
We now pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our sister. We ask for complete freedom from sexual addiction and from every fantasy that does not honor You. Cleanse her, renew her mind, and give her strength to flee temptation and to walk in purity, filling her thoughts with what is true and holy. Raise up faithful teachers in the African American community, expose and remove wolves, and let Your true gospel be proclaimed with power and lead many to genuine salvation. Cover her with Your protection from racism and hatred, heal the wounds in her heart, and let her know she is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by You. Provide for her business according to Your will, open doors that no one can shut, remove every hurdle, and establish the work of her hands for Your glory. In Jesus' name we rebuke and command every demonic harassment to leave and to have no more place in her life, and we ask You to fill her with Your peace and presence. Touch her body and heal her from this painful condition, ease her cycles physically and mentally, and bring healing and a cure for all women who suffer likewise. Draw her ever closer to Jesus, deepen her faith, and let her walk in the assurance that You hear and answer. We trust You and thank You for Your mercy and faithfulness. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to remain in fellowship with a Bible believing church that teaches truth, to seek godly accountability and wise counsel, and to keep bringing every care to Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on Him, because He cares for you.
