Using time wisely

Natasha 2

Servant of All
Noone sand nothing stealing my peace. I want to take nap now.
Also let me use my time extreemely good for my obligations and hobbies. No waisting time. Amen!!

We hear your heart’s desire to steward your time wisely and guard your peace, and we join you in bringing this before the Lord. Time is a gift from God, and how we use it reflects our priorities and our trust in Him. The Word reminds us in Ephesians 5:15-16, "Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil." This means every moment is an opportunity to honor God, whether in rest, work, or leisure.

First, we want to affirm the importance of rest. Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places to pray and recharge (Mark 6:31). A nap can be a godly act of stewardship over your body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). However, we must also guard against laziness or using rest as an escape from responsibilities. Proverbs 20:13 warns, "Don’t love sleep, lest you come to poverty. Open your eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread." Balance is key, rest when needed, but do not let it become a habit that steals productivity or purpose.

Regarding your obligations and hobbies, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in prioritizing them. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Ask yourself: Are my hobbies drawing me closer to God or distracting me from His will? Are my obligations being met with excellence, or am I procrastinating out of fear or complacency? The Holy Spirit can help you discern where to invest your time most fruitfully.

We also rebuke any spirit of anxiety or unrest that may be trying to steal your peace. Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." Your peace comes from Him, not from circumstances or the approval of others. Stand firm against the enemy’s lies that tell you your worth is tied to productivity or that rest is wasted time.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for the gift of time and the peace that only You can provide. Lord, we ask that You help [this individual] to use their time wisely, balancing rest, work, and leisure in a way that honors You. Give them discernment to prioritize what truly matters and the discipline to avoid distractions that lead to wasted time.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, laziness, or unrest that seeks to disrupt their peace. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the peace of Christ, knowing that their worth is found in You alone. Help them to redeem the time, using every moment to glorify You, whether in rest, work, or play.

Lord, we also ask that You guard their heart and mind, that they may not be swayed by the world’s standards of busyness or idleness. Instead, let them find their rhythm in You, trusting that You will order their steps. May their life reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We declare that no one and nothing will steal their peace, for it is anchored in Christ. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to guide and protect. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to start each day by surrendering your schedule to the Lord, asking Him to order your steps. Keep a journal or planner to track how you spend your time, and invite the Holy Spirit to reveal areas where you can grow. Remember, it is not about perfection but about progress and faithfulness. Trust that God will multiply your efforts when you seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).

We get it, that restless feeling where every distraction and nagging thought seems to steal the peace you need, and the clock keeps ticking on things you actually want to do. There’s something humbling about bringing a request as simple as a nap to God, and we don’t think it’s too small for Him to care about. Rest is a real need, not a waste of time, and sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is lie down and trust Him to guard your mind while you sleep.

Since you mentioned both obligations and hobbies, we wonder if a practical rhythm might help. A friend of ours once started spending five minutes each evening jotting down what had to get done the next day, not a massive to-do list, just the two or three things that mattered most. Then he’d deliberately schedule in the hobby time alongside them, treating it as legitimate, not a leftover. That small habit helped him stop drifting into wasted hours and actually enjoy both his work and his rest without guilt.

If the struggle to focus keeps resurfacing, you might also try praying through your calendar before the day starts, literally handing each commitment and each block of free time over to God. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. Just naming the things that feel heavy and asking for His help to stay present in them can quiet the mental noise that steals your peace.

We’re praying with you right now.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You care about our tiredness, our schedules, and even our hobbies. Grant this dear person the rest they need, real, refreshing sleep that quiets their mind and body. Help them to use their time in a way that honors You and brings them joy, free from the pressure of constant distraction or guilt. Guard their peace, and let no person or worry steal what You are giving them today. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Rest in the Lord, and He shall establish your peace. The very cry of your heart, that no one and nothing steal your peace, and that your time be redeemed from waste, is a token that the Spirit is drawing you to the only true repose. Come to Jesus, who says, "I will give you rest." It is not rest from labour that He first gives, but rest of conscience, rest in the finished work of His blood and righteousness. When sin no longer roars against the soul, peace comes, perfect peace, because your mind is stayed on Him. In that peace, even the taking of a nap becomes a holy resting in the Father’s care, for He gives His beloved sleep.

Yet you also ask for strength to use your time well, both in obligations and in those pursuits that refresh the heart. This is a gracious ambition. Remember, "To do the will of Jesus, this is rest." The hurry-burly of duties can press upon us, but when we are sure we are about the Master’s business, the yoke is easy and the burden is light. Commit your works to Him, and your thoughts shall be established. Even your hours of recreation and hobby may be sanctified when they are taken as gifts from His hand, not to escape duty but to return to it with renewed vigour.

Do not fret over time wasted in the past; that will only steal your peace afresh. The blood of Jesus covers that too, and His mercy is new every morning. Today, lean the weight of your cares upon Him. Resign the ordering of your minutes to His wisdom, and trust Him. He will keep you in peace, peace flowing like a river, as you learn of Him. Rest is not laziness; it is the calm confidence of a child in the Father’s house. So, take your rest in Him now, and rise to walk in the good works He has prepared, for His rest shall be glorious.

A thief does not come when you are watching, but when you sleep. You ask for a nap and for time well spent: be on guard, then, lest bodily rest slide into the soul’s slumber. The Day of the Lord overtakes like a thief those who sleep in idleness; but if you rise from that short rest with renewed zeal, you may in a little while accomplish more than in many former days. Do not despair over hours you think are lost. It is possible even now to redeem the time with great diligence.

But what is this peace you desire, that no one and nothing may steal? True peace is not every agreement. Robbers too have concord, but theirs is a disease to be cut off, not a blessing. The peace that is the mother of all good things is the peace that flows from the God of love and peace. It comes when all your thoughts are at rest in Him, when you are of one mind with His will, and when you live in harmony with others as far as it depends on you. Let no external tumult rob you, for if you walk in the fear of the Lord, the war from without does you no real harm. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

Use your time, then, not in wasted pursuits but as a watchful servant. Let your obligations and even your hobbies be done as offerings, not as distractions. Take your nap that the body may be refreshed, but do not sleep as the world sleeps. Rise from it as one who expects the Master, that you may work while it is day. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you: by His grace, even a short time can yield an eternal harvest. Amen.
