Father, we look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than the noise and pollution of the world, 1 Jn 2:15-16. Thank You for working in my ###, my life, and for all that need Your guidance, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34. We agree with this husband, for his ###, children, family, friends, prayer and minister partners and and himself -- speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times: Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, Paul, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1. As little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of GOD can be thwarted,"Job 42:2. We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27.

Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your promise of incomprehensible peace, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20... Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name.

We join with you in this heartfelt cry to hear the voice of our Shepherd and to be led by Him in every area of life for you, your wife, your children, your family, friends, your prayer and financial partners and their families, your pastors, your churches and your leaders.

We love your hunger to hear from God by every biblical means He has ordained and your desire to look to Him and His Word rather than the noise of the world. As it is written, To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them, Isaiah 8:20, and Do not love the world or the things that are in the world, 1 John 2:15. We affirm with you that His Word must be our first and final authority. All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, 2 Timothy 3:16-17. God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, Hebrews 1:1-2. Therefore while we rejoice that God still leads, speaks, and guides today, we must always test what we hear, see, or dream against the sure foundation of Scripture.

We rejoice that you desire godly counsel, for Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory, Proverbs 11:14. We rejoice that you desire to be led by the Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, Romans 8:14, and that you long to hear the Shepherd's voice, for My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27. These are precious biblical promises.

We also hear your longing for dreams, visions, prophecy, divine appointments, and signs. Scripture does show God speaking in these ways, as you noted with Joseph in Matthew 1:20, the magi being warned in a dream in Matthew 2:12, Abimelech in Genesis 20:3, Laban in Genesis 31:24, and others. And it is true that in the last days God said I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions, Acts 2:17 and Joel 2:28. For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention, in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed, then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, Job 33:14-16.

Yet we gently encourage you with love to keep the Word central and to test every spirit, vision, dream, and prophetic word, because many false prophets have gone out into the world, 1 John 4:1, and we are to test all things and hold firmly that which is good, 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Visions and dreams that are truly from God will never contradict Scripture, will always exalt Christ, and will produce holiness, not confusion. We must not seek signs as the world does, but seek the Lord Himself, for an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, Matthew 12:39, while the heavens do declare His glory as in Genesis 1:14 and the star led the magi in Matthew 2:2, yet those signs always pointed to Christ and aligned with His revealed Word. We encourage you to pray for discernment like the sons of Issachar who were men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, 1 Chronicles 12:32, but always with the Word as the lamp to your feet, Psalm 119:105.

We are thankful you have come in the name of Jesus, for you rightly close in Jesus' name and call upon Him as the Amen and faithful witness, Revelation 3:14, and affirm that however many are the promises of God, in him is the Yes, therefore also through him is the Amen, to the glory of God through us, 2 Corinthians 1:20. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. He is able also to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them, Hebrews 7:25. We rejoice that you trust in His intercession, Romans 8:34, and His unchanging nature, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8, and that you believe nothing shall be impossible with God, Luke 1:37, and With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God, Mark 10:27.

We also affirm God's holy design for marriage as you lift up your wife and family. We pray your marriage will continue to be a testimony of Christ and His church, Ephesians 5:25, and that your home will be built on the Word.

So together we pray.

Father in heaven, we thank You that You are not silent, that You have spoken through Your Word and You still lead Your children by Your Spirit. We ask You to speak clearly to this husband, to his wife, to their children, to their extended family and friends, to their prayer and financial partners and their families, to their pastors, churches, and leaders in government. Open Your Word to them daily and give them hunger for it. Speak through faithful preaching from the pulpit, through divine appointments, and through the wise counsel of godly men and women who walk with You. Lead them by Your Holy Spirit and help them to hear Your voice and follow You with whole hearts.

Father, if it pleases You, confirm Your will through dreams and visions as You have done in ages past, but we ask above all that You keep them from deception, from false prophecy, and from seeking signs above Your Word. Grant them discernment to test all things and to cling to what is good. Keep them, their churches, families, friends, pastors and leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, and deception, and deliver them from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, guard them from the evil one as You promised in John 17:15 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Let no lie or fear take root, but let Your truth set them free, John 8:32.

We bring all these requests before You with thanksgiving, as You command In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, believing that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours, Mark 11:24, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, Hebrews 11:6. Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save, Isaiah 59:1, and we know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be restrained, Job 42:2. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1:5.

We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear your longing to hear the Lord clearly, not just for yourself but for your family, your church, your leaders, and those who partner with you in prayer and ministry. It is a good and humble desire to want His direction above the noise around us, and we are joining you in asking Him to keep guiding.

We love that you named so many ways God can speak. In our own walk we have found it helps to hold them together in balance. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Helper who brings power, but He also brings truth and fruit. That keeps us grounded, because His leading will not pull against what He has already said in Scripture, and it will bear the marks of love, peace and patience as it unfolds. When an impression, dream, or word from someone else seems strong, it is wise and freeing to bring it quietly before the Lord in His Word and before a couple of trusted, mature believers for prayer and confirmation.

A simple next step that may help is to keep a small notebook for this season. Write down what you sense you are hearing, what you are reading in the Bible, and what counsel you receive, and then review it weekly with a pastor or a couple of prayer partners. Over time patterns become clearer and it is easier to discern what to hold onto.

Father, we thank You that You delight to lead Your children. Give our brother and all those he has named humble and listening hearts, protection from confusion and deception, and steady peace as they seek You. Guide them step by step and draw them closer to Jesus as they follow, in His name we pray, amen.

Your longing to hear the Shepherd speak is itself a mercy, for His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and that desire to turn from the noise and pollution of the world to the Word is a right and holy instinct. To the law and to the testimony, saith the prophet, and if we speak not according to that Word there is no light in us.

The mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we put our ear down to the promises till we hear God Himself speaking in them to our soul, then the Word has power which it could not possess otherwise. It is a blessed thing to hear God's voice speaking adown the centuries with all the freshness and force as if it were uttered anew tonight. The voice of the Lord is powerful and full of majesty. It is a commanding voice, a reproving voice, and a dividing voice that cutteth its way into the conscience as with flames of fire. Yet above the voice out of the cloud we must hear the voice of the Beloved Himself, for the Father saith, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear ye Him. No other voice will suffice unless Christ speak to us, and the Spirit must go with the Word or it is but wasted breath.

You ask that the Lord would speak by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means, by dreams and visions and signs in the heavens. We rejoice that our God is able to do all things and that no purpose of His can be thwarted, and that His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. In ancient days He warned Abimelech and Laban in dreams, He instructed Joseph and the Magi, He revealed His will to Nebuchadnezzar and to Paul, for He doeth great things which we cannot comprehend. Yet we must not make the extraordinary our rule, nor seek after signs as if the sure Word were not enough. He has given us a more sure word of prophecy, and His ordinary way now is to speak by the Scriptures opened by the Holy Spirit, by faithful messages from the pulpit, by godly counsel where in the multitude of counsellors there is safety, by Divine appointments in providence, and by that still small voice behind thee saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand or to the left. To chase visions is to be tossed about, but to hear Christ in His Word is to find a light stronger than darkness, which darkness cannot overcome.

Let us therefore pray that you and your household, your children and friends, your pastors and leaders, your churches and your prayer and financial partners and their families, may be kept from temptation and from evil, from lies and deception and from the evil one, and that you may be preserved from fear and from wrongdoing. We bring these requests with thanksgiving and claim that peace which passeth all understanding to keep your hearts and minds. Remember that you have One who ever liveth to make intercession for you, for Jesus Christ the Son of God hath shed His blood which cleanseth us from all sin, and God hath justified His elect so that none can lay anything to their charge. If you have come beneath the Cross and trust in Him alone for salvation, you are His people, and He will not cast you out though He chasten you, but will keep you as His pupil and teach you till you also become able to declare His wondrous works with pen and voice.

May the Lord cause you to cry unto Him with your voice and with your heart, and may He give ear unto you. May you hear the Shepherd's voice in the Word and follow Him in the way everlasting, content to be guided by His sure testimony rather than by wonders, and resting in this, that nothing shall be impossible with God, and that all His promises are Yea and Amen in Christ Jesus.

Your longing to be led by God and kept from evil is good, and we join you in bringing it before the Father who hears through Jesus Christ. We thank God with you that He is able to save forever those who come to Him through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us, and that nothing is impossible with Him.

You ask that He would speak to you, to your household, to your spouses and children, to friends and leaders, to churches and to partners in prayer and ministry, by every ordinary and extraordinary means, by the Bible, by faithful preaching, by godly counsel and by dreams and visions. Hear then what the Scriptures teach us to desire most. The prophet says to look to the law and to the testimony, for if they do not speak according to this word there is no light in them. That is the sure test. The Bible is the Shepherd's voice that we know, and by it every other claim is to be weighed.

God in His mercy has at times spoken in dreams to Joseph, to the Magi, and to others, and He is not short in power to save or to guide. Yet the Scriptures also warn us not to chase wild fancies and monstrous visions, and not to live as those who slumber and take the things of this present life for reality. The present things, whether prosperous or painful, are like dreams that vanish when the day comes. What we need most is to awake, to put off imaginings and deep slumber, to be clothed in virtue, and to look to the Sun of Righteousness, Jesus Christ. When the heart is ordered by temperance, by prayer, by a pure conscience and by fear of God, sleep itself is composed and dreams, if they come, are not turbulent. But the saints did not seek visions. They sought a wakeful and sober soul, and God gave them what was needful.

Therefore we pray with you not for a love of signs in the heavens or for continual wonders, but for a clear and sober hearing of what God has already said. Value highly what He has plainly given. Love the Bible and read it daily. Receive the messages from the pulpit that accord with it. Seek godly counsel, for in a multitude of counselors there is safety. Walk in the leading of the Holy Spirit who makes us children of God and who always leads according to the Word, in holiness, humility and love.

We pray for you and for all you named, for spouses and children, for friends and pastors, for leaders in church and government, and for every family joined to you in this work, that God would keep you from temptation and from the evil one, from lies and deception, from fear and wrongdoing, and that He would deliver you from evil people and from every snare of the enemy. We ask that He would guard your homes and make your marriages strong according to His design, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, lived in purity and faithfulness, and that He would make your households places of prayer, discipline and mercy.

Bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving, as you have done, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Trust not in the noise and pollution of the world, but in Christ who is faithful. Light is stronger than darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. What He has promised in Christ is Yes and Amen.

May the Lord grant you wisdom to discern His will, grace to do it, and steadfastness to continue in faith and good works, living for the common good and for the help of your neighbor, until He comes. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the faithful Witness, who intercedes for us. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
