Father, we look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than the noise and pollution of the world, 1 Jn 2:15-16. Thank You for working in my life and hers, and for all that need Your guidance, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34. We agree with this husband, for spouse, children, PASTORS, family, friends, prayer and minister partners -- speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times: Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, Paul, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1. As little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of GOD can be thwarted,"Job 42:2. We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27.

Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your promise of incomprehensible peace, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20... Thank You and you all in Jesus' Name.

We join you in this deep hunger to hear the Holy Spirit speak clearly to you, to her, to your spouses, children, families, friends, pastors, churches, leaders, and to your prayer and financial partners and their households, and we agree that God still speaks and leads His people today.

We love your desire to be led by every biblical means God has ordained, and we especially rejoice that you put the Bible first, for it is written To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them Isa 8:20. Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days has spoken to us by His Son Heb 1:1-2, and that speaking is preserved for us in Scripture. All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work 2 Tim 3:16-17. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Ps 119:105. Therefore we encourage you to test every message from the pulpit, every divine appointment, every counsel, every vision, dream, prophecy, or impression against the written Word, for we are told to test all things, and hold firmly that which is good 1 Thess 5:21 and do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1.

We affirm what you have cited, that where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory Prov 11:14, and that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Rom 10:17. We agree that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment John 16:8, and that as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God Rom 8:14, and My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27. We also remember that God does in His sovereignty give dreams and visions as Joel prophesied and Peter quoted, It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams Acts 2:17, and that God speaks in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men Job 33:15. Yet even then those experiences in Scripture, whether to Joseph Matt 1:20, to the wise men being warned in a dream Matt 2:12, to Abimelech Gen 20:3, to Laban Gen 31:24, to Nebuchadnezzar Dan 2:1, or to Paul Acts 16:9, always aligned with and submitted to God's revealed Word and purpose, and we must let Scripture remain the final authority rather than seeking experiences for their own sake.

We gently caution about seeking signs in the heavens or signs of the times apart from Scripture. It is true that God said Let there be lights in the expanse of sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons Gen 1:14, and the star led the wise men Matt 2:2, and there shall come forth a star out of Jacob Num 24:17, and you know how to discern the appearance of the sky Matt 16:3, and the sons of Issachar were men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do 1 Chron 12:32. But we are not to look to the heavens as the world does for guidance, but to Christ, lest we be drawn into speculation or deception. We are to not love the world, nor the things that are in the world 1 John 2:15, but to set our minds on Christ who always lives to make intercession for us Heb 7:25 and who is at the right hand of God and indeed intercedes for us Rom 8:34.

We also join you in honoring God's ordained authority in government, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God Rom 13:1, and rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil Rom 13:3, and we are to be subject not only because of wrath, but also for conscience sake Rom 13:5, putting on the Lord Jesus Christ and making no provision for the flesh Rom 13:14. We pray for your leaders and ours that they would be ministers of God for good.

We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for you closed in His name, the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness Rev 3:14, and we affirm that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is because He lives to intercede that we can come with humble confidence.

So we pray together now.

Father, we thank You that You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus Heb 7:25, and that Your arm is not shortened, that it cannot save Isa 59:1, and that Yahweh's hand is not too short Num 11:23. We know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted Job 42:2, that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it John 1:5, and that nothing is impossible with God Luke 1:37, for the things that are impossible with men are possible with God Mark 10:27, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Heb 13:8.

Speak to her, to him, to us, to our spouses in holy marriage, to our children, to our friends, to our pastors and churches, to our leaders and to every partner family, first and most clearly through Your holy Bible, and then as You will through faithful preaching, through divine appointments, through godly counsel, through the still small leading of Your Spirit, and if You choose, through dreams and visions that exalt Christ and agree with Your Word. Grant us dreams and visions that underline Your will for us in Christ Jesus as You have done from ancient times, yet keep us anchored to Your Word so we are not deceived.

Keep us all from temptation, from sin, from evil, from wrongdoing, from lies, from fear, from evil people, from deception and from the evil one, for You taught us to pray bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one Matt 6:13 and we ask that You keep us from evil John 17:15 and deliver us from the evil one 2 Thess 3:3. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance believing that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and you shall have it Mark 11:24, knowing that without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to God Heb 11:6, for all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us 2 Cor 1:20.

We ask You to sanctify our marriages and families, to make our homes strong in faith, to let husbands love their wives as Christ loved the church and wives respect their husbands, and to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Lead us away from the noise and pollution of the world and keep our eyes on Jesus, in whose name we pray, Amen.

We hear your deep longing for God to make His will clear for you and for her, and for your spouses, children, pastors, churches and leaders. Wanting to hear His voice in everyday life and to know you are walking in His ways is a good and humble desire, and we are praying with you for that nearness and clarity.

We love that you are looking to the Bible and to prayer first, and to the quiet ways God often confirms His leading through godly counsel and the peace He gives. When impressions, dreams or strong thoughts come, it can help to bring them into the light with a trusted pastor or mature believer you both respect, to weigh them together and see whether they line up with what God has already shown in Scripture and with the love and peace He forms in us. That shared wisdom often brings steadiness when there is a lot of noise around us.

We are also praying for the protection and peace you asked for, for you and your families and churches, that God would keep you from evil and fear and guard your hearts as you seek Him day by day.

Draw each one close, speak in the ways You know are best, and give clear wisdom, humility and unity as they seek You together. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. It is a right and good desire that the Holy Spirit should speak and guide, for without Him there is no spiritual life, no true prayer, and no power to walk in holiness. Until the Holy Spirit visits us we are dead in trespasses and sins, and a holy life is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit alone. Your prayer that He would speak to you, to her, to your spouses, children, families, pastors, churches, leaders and partners is heard, and we join you in it according to the Word of God.

We rejoice that you look to the Bible and to the faithful preaching of it, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit says, Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. The special voice we need is not the noise and pollution of the world, but the voice of the Spirit speaking in Scripture. As it is written, to the law and to the testimony, and we know that in these last days God has spoken unto us by His Son, by whom also He made the worlds. The whole blessed Godhead works together for the saving of souls, and what the Holy Spirit does is this, He will receive of Mine and show it unto you. He deals with the things of Christ. He glorifies Christ. That teaching is not of the Holy Spirit which does not glorify the Lord Jesus, and that leading is not of the Spirit which draws away from Christ to mere outward signs or curious speculations.

Therefore we pray that you would hear the Shepherd's voice in the Word, through the ministry of the pulpit, through godly counsel where in the multitude of counsellors there is safety, and through the providential appointments of God in daily life. We thank God that He is able to speak by extraordinary means as He did with Joseph, with the Magi, with Paul, for His arm is not shortened that it cannot save and no purpose of God can be thwarted. Yet we must seek Him first in the ordinary and sure way He has appointed, the Holy Scriptures, prayer in the Holy Spirit, and obedience to what is already revealed. To pray in the Holy Spirit is to pray in His power and by His help, for He is willing to help us to pray and to tell us how to pray, and He authors and nourishes faith so that we pray believing the promises.

Take care that you grieve not the Holy Spirit, for He has made the narrow heart of man His palace, though it be but a cottage and unclean, yet He condescends to dwell there. He is grieved by unbelief, by unholiness of life, and by walking not according to the Gospel. If any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of His, and the possession of the Spirit is God's seal upon His child. Do not vex His loving heart by turning aside to seek signs in the heavens or wonders apart from Christ, but seek to know the Holy Spirit by the Holy Spirit Himself, worshipping Him, yielding to Him, and depending wholly upon Him.

So we pray for you and for all you have named. May the Lord keep you, your households, your churches, your pastors and your rulers from temptation, from sin and wrongdoing, from lies and deception and from the evil one, for we are taught to pray, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, and the Lord is faithful who shall establish you and keep you. May He grant to those in government that they may fulfill what is written, that they are ordained of God for good, and may He grant to your families grace to walk in holiness, honoring marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and keeping the marriage bed pure, for this is the will of God. May He grant repentance and faith to all who yet need salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and Jesus ever lives to make intercession for those who come unto God by Him.

We lay your requests before God with thanksgiving, asking that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, and that you may know the Spirit not as a mere influence but as a Person dwelling in you, the source and force of your life, so that your weakest endeavor shall prosper when He pours His life into you. Cry mightily unto God for Him, for without the Holy Spirit you utterly fail, and with Him Christ is glorified in you.

May the Lord grant you to hear His voice today and to follow it in humble obedience, trusting that what is impossible with men is possible with God, and that light is stronger than darkness.
