Nothing but Leaves
Christ condemns empty religious show and calls you to bear real fruit for God.
We join with you in prayer for your daughter and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no attachment, no tie, and no spiritual oppression that is stronger than our Lord.

We want to gently rebuke the lie that this bond is too strong to break. That is not the truth of Scripture. The enemy wants your daughter to feel hopeless and bound, but the Word tells us greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. We have been given authority in Christ, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19. What she is experiencing is real spiritual oppression, and the Bible does call demonic influence real, but the idea of a spirit spouse as a legitimate marriage is a deception. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, Mark 10:6-9, and any counterfeit spiritual union is not from God but is a demonic attachment meant to defile and torment. It has no legal right over a child of God who is in Christ.

If this ungodly soul tie came through sexual sin outside of marriage, through fornication or adultery, through involvement in the occult, pornography, or other doors opened to the enemy, it must be addressed openly before God. We lovingly say that sex outside of biblical marriage is sin and it does create ungodly ties, and the Lord calls us to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. We also are told to submit ourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. This means deliverance comes not by our own strength but by submission to Jesus, confession, renunciation, and resisting the enemy in His name.

We encourage you and your daughter together to take these steps before the Lord. Let her herself confess with her own mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and that she belongs fully to Him. Let her confess and repent of any sin that may have opened this door, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Let her renounce out loud any agreement, knowingly or unknowingly, with this spirit and break it in Jesus name. Remove from your home any objects, images, music, books, or media that honor impurity or the occult. Fill that cleansed place with the Word, with worship, and with prayer, and put on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11. We also urge you to bring trusted, biblically grounded pastors or elders from your local church to pray with you both in person, for there is power when believers agree together, and fasting with prayer is also powerful in these battles.

We now pray together for her complete freedom.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, Philippians 2:10. Lord, we lift this precious daughter to You. You formed her, You love her, and You desire her wholeness. We ask You to forgive any sin that has given the enemy a foothold, to wash her clean by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We renounce and break in the name of Jesus Christ every ungodly soul tie, every attachment, and every lying spirit that has called itself a spouse over her life. We command every unclean spirit to leave her now and to go where Jesus sends it, never to return. We declare that she is not bound, for So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36. Fill her now, Holy Spirit, with Your presence, Your peace, and Your power. Let her mind be renewed by Your Word and let her know that she can do all things through Christ, who strengthens her, Philippians 4:13. Give her a hatred for sin and a hunger for righteousness, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give her mother wisdom, strength, and peace as she contends for her daughter, and let fear be replaced with faith, for You have said Fear not, for I am with you, Isaiah 41:10. We claim her complete deliverance and restoration for Your glory, and we trust You to perfect that which concerns her. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak Scripture aloud over her daily, to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and to help her walk in purity and obedience as she pursues a godly life. If she is not yet walking daily with Jesus as her Lord and Savior, let this be the moment she fully surrenders to Him, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We are standing with you until you see her testimony of freedom.

We hear the urgency and the ache in your request as a parent watching your daughter feel trapped and saying this is too strong to break. It is painful to feel you cannot reach her struggle for her, and we want you to know we are carrying both of you in prayer right now.

We do not believe anything that troubles her is stronger than Jesus, even when it feels that way to her. At the same time, these kinds of burdens are not usually resolved in one urgent moment alone. They need steady prayer, wisdom, and mature support walking alongside you both.

One simple next step that may help is to invite a trusted pastor or two spiritually mature believers from your church to pray with you and with your daughter over time, not just once. Look for people who will listen carefully, pray calmly with discernment, and keep pointing her to Christ rather than focusing on fear. Her own willingness to seek Jesus matters, so continuing to love her, listen without pressure, and encourage her to bring her fears directly to Him is important.

Father, we lift this daughter to You and ask for Your protection and peace over her. We ask You to break any attachment that is not from You and to set her free in Your presence. Give her parents wisdom, steady hope, and the right helpers around them, and help her to know how deeply she is loved and kept by Jesus. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, deliver, heal, save (those not saved) and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your urgent cry for your daughter has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. We understand the heaviness of feeling that a tie is too strong to break, and the fear that comes when a soul feels held fast. Yet we bring good news, that deliverance is by divine power alone and that what is impossible with man is possible with God.

Scripture teaches that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We cannot break such bonds by our own resolve, for the slavery of sin takes away courage from the spirit, but Jehovah Himself brings forth His people with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. He has not said that there may be a ransom, but He has said, I have found a ransom. That ransom is the Lord Jesus Christ, who laid down His body and His soul and suffered being forsaken of His God, crying, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me, so that those joined to Him would never be forsaken.

There is no soul tie or spirit claim that can stand against union with Christ. To those who trust Him, you are joined to the Lord and are one spirit with Him, and we may bravely say, Who shall separate us. His love has made us to be called the spouse of Christ, and that eternal union has no separation for the soul that is joined to Him. Any other pretended spouse or attachment is not a true marriage, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is not to be affirmed but to be forsaken. We do not ask God to bless such a bond, we ask Him to break it, to banish every dark influence, and to set the captive free.

We pray now for your daughter:

Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, we ask for Your mercy upon this dear daughter. You see the attachment that holds her and the lie that it is too strong to break. We confess that only You can deliver from the pit and from the power of the destroyer. By the blood of the Lamb that was slain, break every ungodly soul tie and every claim of darkness upon her life. Banish every deceiving spirit and every work of Satan that would contend for her soul. Let the arrow that whispers God has forsaken thee be quenched, and let her hear instead the Spirit of adoption crying, Abba, Father.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You who bring all that is living to us would come in power. As You alone can overcome our wandering and make us perfect, fill her heart, take possession of her spirit, and make her to know that Christ abides in her. Give her a chastened and gracious spirit, teach her obedience through this sorrow, and consecrate her anew to her delivering God. Let every form of fellowship with Jesus become in her a well of salvation, that her thirst may be quenched and her soul revived and she may live in Him.

Father, keep her from returning to that which would ensnare her. Grant her repentance and faith to turn wholly to Christ, her true Bridegroom, who hates putting away and whose love never fails. Establish her in purity and in peace within, and guard her steps in the days to come. We trust not in our prayer, but in Your promise that when we seek You with our whole soul, You will be found of us.

We will continue to pray that the Sun of Righteousness will rise upon her with healing beneath His wings, and that she will sing with those who are rescued, My soul does magnify the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. May the Lord make rare music for you both as He brings her forth into liberty. Amen.
