We hear your urgent cry and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' name for your youngest daughter, for your home, and for your own body and spirit as you fast and feel under attack and unwell.
We lift up your daughter to the Lord for her nursing school work. We know how demanding that calling is and how heavy the load can feel when sleep is lacking. We pray God gives her wisdom, focus, and endurance, and we also encourage with love that driving without sleep is dangerous and not wise stewardship of the life God has given her. If she is exhausted she should rest before driving, seek help, or make alternate arrangements, for her safety and the safety of others. The Lord wants her to be safe and to find true rest. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray the Lord will guard her coming and going, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8.
We also bring before the Lord the trauma and pain from past relationships and the abuse she has suffered. We grieve with you over what was done to her. You are right to leave vengeance to God, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. God sees, He is just, and He will repay in His perfect time and way. We pray for deep healing of her mind and heart, for the Lord heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. If any of those past relationships involved intimacy outside of marriage, we gently speak the truth in love that God designed sexual intimacy for marriage alone between a man and a woman, and any sex outside of marriage is fornication and harms the soul. God offers forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus Christ when we repent, and He can restore purity and wholeness. We pray for her future to be marked by godly courtship that looks toward marriage to a believing husband, and that the Lord will bring her closer to you in a healthy, supportive way so you can help and encourage her as her parent. We pray God will give her peaceful sleep and restore her peace, for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.
We join you in praying for protection over your home and for covering over your daughter and all the women in your family. We agree that we all need the covering of Jesus twenty four hours a day. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We hear that you are fasting while feeling sick and with a headache and that you feel demonic attacks trying to take your family. Fasting is a biblical way to humble ourselves and seek God, but we encourage you to also care for your body, drink water, rest, and seek medical care if needed, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. For our struggle is spiritual, so we put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. We take comfort that you who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We pray you will submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Do not be afraid, for God says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only by His name we have access to the Father and it is in His name we have authority and salvation.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this precious daughter to You. Cover her with Your blood, guard her mind, heal her from all trauma and abuse, wash away every wound, and give her deep, restorative sleep and Your perfect peace. Keep her safe on the road and give her wisdom to not drive when exhausted. Help her to excel in nursing school for Your glory and to use her skills to care for others with compassion. Draw her close to her parent in love and understanding and surround her with godly counsel and friendships that lead toward a Christ centered marriage if it is Your will. Lord, we ask You to take vengeance into Your own hands as You have promised and to bring justice and healing in Your time. We lift up this parent who is fasting, sick, and weary with a headache. Touch their body, heal them, for You have said, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. Lift the oppression and make every demonic attack flee at the name of Jesus. Protect this home, let Your angels encamp around it, let no evil take hold, and fill it with Your presence, rest, and peace. Strengthen their faith as they fast and seek You, and remind them that You hear, You see, and You will not let them be taken. We trust You to restore, protect, and give rest. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.
