Your heart for your daughter is heard and I am joining you in prayer for her right now.

The pain of seeing a child hurt, especially an injury to the eye, touches the heart very deeply. Scripture speaks of the eye running with tears without stopping until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees. He does see her tonight, He sees the pain and swelling from that accident, the stress of having to work late and find a ride, and the worry over her car breaking down. There is a question asked in the prophets, who can heal when the wound seems so great like the sea, and the answer is that only the Lord can. We are asking Him to do that for her, to bring healing to her eye, to protect her vision, to ease her pain, and to provide for her practical needs for safe travel and for her car.

I also hear your concern about fear and about what you feel may be spiritual attack from her former fiance. It is understandable that she was frightened after praying over her home and then seeing more trouble. Fear is one of the main tools the enemy uses to discourage God's children, and the way to overcome it is not by looking at the threats around us but by remembering the Lord. He is greater than any evil, any curse, or any work of darkness. The Bible teaches us to pray, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory. That is our confidence. Jesus has all authority, and no power of darkness can prevail against those who belong to Him.

This is also a time to draw close to the Lord with a whole heart and to stay separate from anything unclean or of darkness. Scripture calls us to come out from the ways of the world, which are marked by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, and to not touch what is unclean, so that the Lord will be a Father to us and we will be His children. That means turning away from all idolatry and every form of occult practice and choosing to walk in holiness and in the fear of God. The true fear of God is not being afraid that He will harm us, but having a love for Him so deep that we fear to grieve Him, and we want to please Him in all things. As we cleanse ourselves from the defilement of flesh and mind and seek Him completely, He promises to go before us and to be our protection behind us.

So we are praying for your daughter to know that comfort and protection tonight. May the Lord calm her fear as she looks to Him, cover her home with His peace, guard her as she closes at work and travels, and supply what she needs. May He heal her eye and let her sense that the Comforter is near when she feels alone.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we bring this daughter before You. Touch her eye and bring healing, take away pain and fear, and let her see Your care. Provide safe passage home from work and provision for her car. Deliver her from every evil work and surround her with Your presence. Help her and her family to turn to You with their whole hearts, to walk apart from all darkness, and to serve You in holiness. We trust You because You are faithful to keep Your word. Amen.
