We join with you in lifting up your youngest daughter before the Lord in this urgent time of need as she faces midterms for nursing school starting so early in the morning.
We know the weight she carries, the lack of sleep, the pressure to do well, and the concern for her safety on the road and for her health, and we bring all of this to our Heavenly Father together. He cares for her deeply and He hears our prayers.
We are reminded of His promise to give wisdom when we ask, for it is written, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We pray that God will grant her clarity of mind, recall of all she has studied, and peace that guards her heart. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also commit her work to the Lord, trusting that as we are told, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3.
We also lift up her safety and health. Driving while exhausted is a serious concern, and we pray for the Lord's protection over her going out and coming in, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, Psalm 121:7-8. We pray He will keep her alert and safe on the road and bring her home without harm. We also pray for her healing and strength, for He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might, Isaiah 40:29, and for He gives sleep to his beloved, Psalm 127:2. We ask the Lord to restore her body, to heal whatever affliction she is facing, and to grant her refreshing rest when she is able, for her body is a temple to be stewarded with care.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved daughter to You. Lord, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon her and renew her strength. Calm her anxious thoughts and let Your peace fill her as she takes her midterms. Bring to her remembrance all that she has learned and help her to answer with wisdom and confidence. Guard her on the road, keep her eyes alert, her reflexes sharp, and protect her from all danger as she drives there and back. Surround her vehicle with Your angels and bring her safely home. We ask that You provide opportunities for rest and restoration in the days ahead and guide her in her calling to nursing, that she may use it to serve others and glorify You. We trust her into Your loving hands and thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with her future and to gently remind her to steward her body wisely, seeking rest whenever possible and asking for help if she is too weary to drive safely. God is faithful and He will sustain her through this demanding season.
