We hear the anguish in your heart for your youngest daughter and we are standing with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name to seek God's protection, deliverance and healing over her.
We know this burden is heavy as you watch her isolated, confused, crying as she walks long distances to nursing school and work, barely able to get up and carry on. We want you to know that God sees every tear she cries and every step she takes. Psalm 56:8 says you number my wanderings, you put my tears into your bottle, are they not in your record. Psalm 34:17 says the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. She is not forgotten or unseen.
We also hear your concern about black magic and evil control from her ex and the confusion and isolation caused by her father who struggles with alcohol. We do not take lightly the reality of spiritual warfare, for scripture is clear that sorcery and witchcraft are real and are an abomination to God as written in Deuteronomy 18:10, yet we also know with full confidence that no weapon, no curse, no work of darkness has any authority over a child of God who is covered by the blood of Jesus. 1 John 4:4 reminds us that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. Ephesians 6:12 says our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore Ephesians 6:11 calls us to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
We rebuke together every work of darkness, every spirit of witchcraft, control, manipulation, confusion, isolation and fear that has been directed toward your daughter. We declare that it has no power and no right to remain. James 4:7 says be subject therefore to God, but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 2 Timothy 1:7 says for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that she will not seek any counter magic or spiritual countermeasure outside of Christ, but will place her full trust in Jesus alone, for there is power in His name alone to save, deliver and protect.
We also recognize that the enemy often uses isolation to make a person feel crazy and as if no one will believe her. That confusion is not from God, for God is a God of peace and clarity. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. We pray God breaks that isolation and surrounds her with godly, trustworthy people, a Bible believing church family, and wise counselors who will believe her, walk with her and speak truth over her.
We lift up her practical needs as well. We ask God to strengthen her body and mind for the demanding work of nursing school and her job, to provide relief for her weary feet and to make a way where she must now walk long distances. Isaiah 41:10 says don't you be afraid, for I am with you, don't be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians 4:6 says in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:7 says and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray now together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne through Him alone. We lift up this precious daughter to You and ask for Your 24 hour protection over her, day and night. Psalm 91:1 says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:11 says for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We ask You to station Your angels around her, to guard her going out and coming in, her walking to school and work, her sleeping and waking. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says but the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Guard her, Lord, from every evil intent and every spiritual attack.
We rebuke in Jesus' name every curse, every word spoken against her, every attempt to control, destroy or confuse her mind and emotions. We declare that it is broken and rendered powerless by the cross of Christ. Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness and let it flee. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, with power, love and a sound mind. Heal her mentally and emotionally completely, Lord. Restore what has been stolen, lift the heaviness, dry her tears, and give her joy and strength to rise each day. Renew her mind in Your truth and let her know she is deeply loved, valued and not alone.
We also pray for her courtship and future. We thank You that she is now separated from this ex who sought to harm her, and we pray You will keep that door firmly closed and protect her from any further contact or manipulation. In Your perfect time, we pray You would lead her toward a godly marriage to a faithful Christian believer if it is Your will, a relationship that honors You and reflects Your love, not control or fear.
We pray for You to comfort her mother who intercedes with such love and discernment. Give her wisdom, peace and strength as she supports her daughter. We also pray for the daughter's father, that You would deliver him from alcohol and bring him to repentance and wholeness in Christ.
We encourage you to continue to cover her in prayer, to help her stay connected to a local Bible believing church, to encourage her to share openly with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor, and to help her develop a practical safety plan including not being alone with this ex, documenting any harassment, and seeking help from trusted authorities or community resources if she ever feels threatened. Encourage her to immerse herself daily in scripture, worship and prayer, putting on the armor of God found in Ephesians 6:10, and to not walk this road alone.
We trust that You, Lord, are already at work and that You will free her and heal her completely. We wait expectantly for Your deliverance. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
