We join you in urgent prayer for your daughter as she faces driving in the dark and walking in this dangerous weather with flooding expected, and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus for her help and protection.
We are reminded of how deeply God cares for those who trust in Him and how He watches over our coming and going. He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 and Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. Isaiah 43:2 gives us confidence that even in flood waters and storms, our Lord is present and able to keep her safe. We also cling to Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together for her now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious daughter to You. We ask You to place Your hand of protection over her as she drives in the darkness and walks to school in this bad weather. Keep her vehicle steady, keep her path clear, give her wisdom to see hazards and to avoid any flooded roadway, and station Your angels around her to guard her in all her ways. We ask You to calm the storm and restrain the flood waters according to Your will, and to bring her safely to her destination and safely home again. Lord, we also lift up her studies to become a nurse, a calling to serve and care for others, and we ask You to strengthen her, give her endurance and wisdom in her learning, and use her life for Your glory. Grant her mother peace that passes all understanding as she waits and trusts in You. We cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Ecclesiastes 7:12. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. We also encourage you both to pray without ceasing as she travels, and to keep your phones close so you can stay in contact. Your urgent cry for your daughter has been heard and we join you even now in bringing her before the throne of grace.
We know the anxiety of a mother's heart when darkness and storm gather and a loved one must go forth upon the road. You need an infinite Friend to keep her in safety against all dangers, and blessed be God, you have such a Friend. Our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior, who is both able and as wise as He is able to keep His people from falling. We constantly need to cry to God to keep us, and He hears such cries.
Remember the promise that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. The Lord says as it were to His angels, take special care of that child, for she is Mine. This protection is personal and perpetual. Though she must walk and drive in the dark, and though the waters rise, nothing can hurt the one who has made her refuge God. All the saints are in His hand, and the hand of God is a place for safety.
If you can believe God when you are in a storm, that He holds the water in the hollow of His hand, you will be at peace about the tempest. As one who trusted God calmly waited and said within herself, if he has gone upon a necessary errand, he will be under God's protection, so may you rest. Do not be nervous when the storm comes, for the Lord who numbers the inches of flood and the hours of darkness watches over her going out and coming in.

O Lord our God, our only wise God our Savior, unto whom belongs all power to keep from falling, we commend this daughter to Thy tender care. Thou seest the dark road, the bad weather, the threatening flood, and her journey to her studies. Cover her with Thy hand, give Thy angels charge over her, keep her feet from slipping and her path from harm. Bring her safely to her place and safely home again.
