Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your youngest daughter has been heard, and I join you now in lifting her up before the Lord who loves her more than any earthly parent can.
I pray that Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and true wisdom, will draw near to her in this very hour. As you have asked, may He give her wisdom and discernment, not the wisdom of this world which passes away and cannot profit the soul, but the wisdom from above which is hidden with God and leads to life. When the mind is scattered and anxious, His wisdom brings clarity and peace. May He quiet her thoughts, heal the pain of this breakup, and guard her heart and mind in Christ. May He free her from obsessing and restore her to wholeness, so that she may see His goodness and trust His care for her future.
I also bring her job interview before the Lord. You have asked that He block this bar job if it is not His will, and that is a right and faithful prayer. We ask that the Lord would direct her every step and path. If this work would draw her away from what is good or place her in harm, we ask Him to close the door clearly. If it is not His will, may He provide another way for her needs to be met while she studies to be a nurse. She is working hard in school all day and needs provision with hours that allow her to continue her studies. God knows her needs and is able to provide work that sustains her and honors Him. We ask Him to open the right door and give her and you peace about His leading.
Remember the persistence of faith. Like the woman who cried out for her daughter and did not cease until the Lord answered, keep bringing your daughter before Him. Even when the answer seems delayed, He hears and His power is great toward those who trust Him. He does not speak flattering words at random, but responds to true faith. Continue to pray, to speak the truth in love to her, and to entrust her to His hands.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, give this young woman wisdom beyond her years, heal her mind completely, comfort her in her sorrow, and guide her feet. Give her mother peace as she waits on You, and let Your perfect will be done in this job decision and in all her life. May she come to know more deeply the love and healing that is found only in You. Amen.
