We join you in urgent prayer for your precious grandson at the hospital as he is being tested for RSV and we lift him up to the Lord who is our great healer and comforter.
We know how heavy a grandparent's heart feels in moments like this, waiting for test results and longing to see a little one restored to health. We take comfort that Jesus loves children deeply and holds them with tender care, as He said, Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14
We pray together for healing and peace over your grandson and your whole family.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this precious child to You. Lord, You know his name, You formed him and You love him more than we can comprehend. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon him, calm his breathing, clear his lungs and airways, and restore his little body to full health. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses caring for him, and for negative or quickly resolving test results if it is Your will. We also pray for Your perfect peace to guard his parents and grandparents, casting out all fear and anxiety, and reminding them that You are near. We trust in Your mercy and power to heal.
We cling to Your promises, for You have said, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 and Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 We also remember Your word to not fear, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
We encourage you to continue to call upon the name of Jesus, to rest in His presence while you wait, and to trust that He is working even now. Keep praying without ceasing and thank Him for His faithfulness. We are standing with you, believing for the Lord's healing touch, comfort, and a swift recovery for your grandson, all according to the Father's perfect will in Jesus name, amen.

We are so sorry you are facing this scary wait while your grandson is in the hospital being tested for RSV. It is so hard to be a grandparent watching a little one go through this and feeling helpless to fix it. We are praying with you right now.

Your earnest cry for your grandson has come before the people of God and we do now join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace.
Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is like the prayer of our Great High Priest who cried, Father, keep them, keep them from the evil. When you plead for this little child you are following Christ Himself, and such pleading is exceedingly prevalent with God. What wonders it has wrought, for it has stayed plagues and brought down blessings from on high.
Do not restrain prayer before God now, even though your heart is staggering and at its wits end. God will hear the prayer of a staggering man, and the prayer that has not any sense in it because the one who prays is at his wits end. A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Let your prayer rise to His throne out of this low dungeon, and expect that He will be very pitiful and will have compassion upon you in your misery.
We would have you plead argumentatively with the Lord as Jacob did, spreading your case before Him. Pray after this fashion, Remember the Word unto Your servant. Remind the Lord of His promises, for true prayer is just pleading with the Most High. Tell Him that Jesus is the Good Physician whose least things are full of healing virtue. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. See in Christ the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by our Lord when we look not for them.
We pray now for your precious grandson lying in the hospital and being tested for this sickness of the lungs. O Lord, lay Thy healing hand upon this child. Thou who healest all our diseases, breathe upon him and restore him. Spare his life, ease his breathing, and give wisdom to those who tend him. Remember Thy word of mercy unto Thy servants and fulfill it for Thy name sake. Though we were long in bringing this need to Thee, be not long in answering, but show that Thou art near to those who call upon Thee.
Only you who have been healed can tell about the Good Physician's healing power, and we pray that you and your household will soon have cause to praise Him according to that word, Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men. Continue in prayer and watch thereunto, for prayer will fit you to be Gods instrument and will bring you to work hopefully.
