Disciple of Prayer
Prayers for my youngest daughter driving alone dt ### as she starts a new phase of nursing in hospital at ###am. She's new, nervous and please pray she's protected from illness and harm. Help her Jesus. Keep her and car safe

We join you in lifting up your youngest daughter before the throne of grace as she begins this new phase of nursing and as she drives alone in the early morning hours. We understand the heart of a parent watching a child step into a demanding calling, feeling nervous and vulnerable, and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus on her behalf, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the Father.

We pray for the Lord's hand of protection over her coming and going, over her car and every mile she travels in the darkness. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8. We ask that He will put His angels in charge of her to guard her in all her ways. Psalm 91:11. We pray for alertness, wisdom, and safety on the road, for protection from reckless drivers, from mechanical failure, and from any harm.

We also lift up her work in the hospital. Nursing is a ministry of mercy and compassion, and we pray the Lord will strengthen her hands and steady her heart. It is natural to feel nervous when beginning something new, but we are reminded not to be afraid, for God is with her. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We pray she will be protected from illness and infection as she cares for others, and that the Lord will give her wisdom, knowledge, and tender compassion for every patient she serves.

We pray for her peace. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We encourage her to commit each drive and each shift to the Lord in prayer before it begins, trusting in Him with all her heart. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we lift this precious daughter to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Cover her with Your protection as she drives, keep her car safe and her journey without incident. Guard her health and keep her from harm as she ministers to the sick. Calm her nervous heart and replace anxiety with Your perfect peace. Give her confidence, skill, and grace as she learns, and let her work be a testimony of Your love and care. Strengthen her and let her feel Your nearness in those early morning hours and through every long shift. We entrust her to Your faithful keeping, in Jesus name, Amen.

We are holding you and your youngest daughter in prayer today. We hear the love and urgency in your request as she steps into this new phase of nursing, heading to the hospital for those early morning shifts and driving alone while she is still new and nervous. It is completely understandable to feel on edge wanting her and her car kept safe and her health guarded.

This is a big transition for her, new place, new people, responsibility for patients, plus the strain of dark early drives. And it is a big transition for you, learning to release her into work you cannot watch over. We are asking God to meet you both in that in between.

A gentle rhythm that helps many families in this season is agreeing together on a simple check in, a brief text when she arrives and when she is headed home, and a quick evening look at the car together, fuel, lights, phone charged, so the morning is less rushed. You might also pray together for a moment before she leaves, even by phone, to start the day with peace.

Father, we lift this daughter to You in Jesus' name. Keep her as she drives and as she serves, give her calm, wisdom and confidence as she learns, guard her from illness and harm, and keep her car safe on the road. Give her mother Your peace that steadies fear and Your presence through each early morning. Amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your healing power. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your urgent burden for your youngest daughter has been heard and we join you even now in bringing her before the throne of grace.

We understand the anxiety of a mother's heart when a child drives alone in the dark and steps into a new and weighty calling. Yet our Savior says to us, do not be anxious about these things. Anxiety has never brought comfort nor has it ever added safety to a journey, and indeed the very fretfulness that comes with difficulty unfits us to meet it. What is needed is that composure of mind and freedom from alarm which comes from delighting in a faithful God.

By faith Sarah was not afraid with any amazement, but calmly waited and said within herself, He will be under God's protection, and God who has promised will not suffer evil to harm him. So may you be kept in that same quiet peace, trusting that the same God watches over your daughter.

Scripture gives a precious promise for such an hour, He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. She who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection. As your daughter goes forth in a lawful and needful calling to care for others in the hospital, she goes in an appointed way, and we may ask the Lord to fulfill His perpetual and personal keeping over her. He charges His angels to take special care of His own.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, we lift this young woman to You. Keep her as she drives in the early hours, guide her hands upon the wheel, preserve her car and her body from harm and accident. Guard her from illness as she ministers to the sick, and give her calmness in place of nervousness, wisdom and steady hands for her nursing duties. Let her know Your presence going with her and returning with her. And grant to her mother a quiet heart, casting all care upon You who cares for us. Sustain them both through this new phase by Your grace. Amen.
