Urgent

We have heard your urgent cry for your youngest daughter and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with great concern and love.

We pray for her safety day and night. We ask the Lord who never sleeps to guard her, to put a hedge of protection around her, and to give charge to His angels to watch over her. We pray that every form of stalking, watching, and unlawful access to her messages and movements would be exposed and stopped, and that the one pursuing her would be restrained from harming her and brought to repentance.

We pray also for her mind and heart. You have described suffering, distraction and depression, and we ask Christ to draw near to her as her true peace and rest. Where there is fear and confusion, we ask Him to give quietness. Where there is heaviness, we ask Him to lift her burden and renew her strength so she can care for herself clearly and wisely. We ask God to grant her the wisdom that comes from above, not the wisdom of this world which fades, but the wisdom that is pure and leads to life, so that she may see clearly, think soundly, and make wise decisions in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and peace with God.

We encourage you to continue to seek both spiritual and practical help for her safety. Stay close to her, keep trusted family and mature believers near, and do not let her walk through this alone. Keep a careful record of what has happened, secure her phone and accounts with help from someone skilled, and seek the protection of the proper authorities, for God has appointed them to keep guard and to restrain those who do wrong and to preserve peace. If she is overwhelmed, help her to seek wise pastoral counsel and care for her emotional and physical health.

We also pray that the Lord will use this trial to draw her closer to Himself, to know His presence as her refuge, and to build her life on what is true, honorable and pure. True peace comes when the soul rests in Christ and walks in His ways, and we pray that she will find that rest and that God will be with her as she seeks Him.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep her in safety, give her clarity and wisdom in Christ, calm her heart, and restore to her soundness of mind and the ability to care for herself. May the God of peace be with her and with you, and may He grant you both comfort and hope as you trust Him.

We are praying with you for your youngest daughter and for you as you carry this heavy burden for her safety.

We have asked the Lord to watch over her continually and to be her protector day and night, and to bring an end to this stalking and intrusion into her messages and her movements. We have also prayed that God will give her wisdom that is clear and steady, and rest for her mind and heart so she can care for herself well.

Scripture presents wisdom as a voice calling out openly to all who will listen, inviting everyone to come and receive. Wisdom is described as more valuable than rubies or gold, more to be desired than riches or honor, because nothing else we desire can compare to it. Length of days is in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left, and her ways are pleasantness and her paths are peace. The Lord Himself founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding, and in Jesus Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

That tells us where true wisdom is found. It does not come from the wisdom of this world, which leads to strife and comes to nothing, and by which the world did not know God. The wisdom that is from above is different. It is first pure, then peaceable, and it sows righteousness in peace for those who make peace. God has offered peace to us through Jesus, inviting us to reason together with Him, so that though our sins are as scarlet they may be made white as snow. When we know His grace we can know His peace.

The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, to honor Him and to hate evil, and understanding is to depart from evil. Wisdom dwells with prudence and gives knowledge to make careful, discerning choices. That kind of wisdom is what your daughter needs right now. Not only spiritual clarity to see what is right, but practical prudence to take wise steps for her safety, to secure her communications, to set firm boundaries, and to seek help from trusted people and from proper authorities when needed. Wisdom will help her do that with a clear mind rather than in confusion or fear.

We also prayed for her depression and distraction and suffering. Hopelessness can settle into the heart when we feel watched and unsafe, and it drags the mind down. The promise of God is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him. When the mind is fixed on the Lord, He steadies the heart. When it turns inward and dwells only on the threat and on ourselves, turmoil grows. Praying that she can keep her mind stayed on the Lord is praying for that inner rest you asked for, a peace that guards heart and mind and then helps her make wise decisions for her own care.

So we are asking God to draw her close to Jesus, to give her a heart that seeks Him first, to fill her with His Spirit of wisdom and understanding, to make her discerning and prudent, to lift the heaviness and give her peace, and to surround her with protection. We are asking Him to give you peace as well as you love and support her, and to guide you both to wise and safe counsel and practical help.

May the Lord grant her wisdom, which is the principal thing, and with all her getting, understanding. May He be her peace and her rest, and keep her in His care. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
