Beloved of All
I am joining you in prayer for your youngest daughter and for you as her mother. Your love and concern for her safety and your desire to be strong for your children is precious before the Lord, and He hears the cry of a parent's heart.
Scripture shows how deeply Jesus cares when a parent pleads for a daughter. We see a father who came to Him because his little daughter was at the point of death, and a mother who fell at His feet begging for her young daughter who was oppressed by an unclean spirit. In both cases Jesus responded with compassion and power. He did not turn them away. He showed that He has authority in the physical realm to heal sickness and in the spiritual realm to command evil to leave, and that His help is personal and present.
The prophet Isaiah foretold that the Messiah would bear our sicknesses and carry our infirmities, and the Gospel shows Jesus fulfilling that word as He healed the leper, the servant of the centurion, the mother of Peter, and many others who were brought to Him. That same power is still His today. He is able to keep and protect, and He never slumbers. You can ask Him to place His hand of protection around your daughter at every hour, day and night, and to guard her from harm and from the pressures she is facing. He sees her going through much and He is able to be her refuge and defender.
I am also praying for your health, that the Lord would restore your strength so you can continue to care for your children. One of the apostles wrote a personal greeting to a dear friend, expressing his wish that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That was not presented as a blanket promise that believers will never be sick, but as a loving prayer, and it reminds us of a true principle that our inner life and our physical well being are often connected. As you seek the Lord, nurture your soul in His Word, in prayer, and in rest, and trust Him with your body as well. Attitudes, peace, and hope in Christ can affect us deeply, and the Lord who made both soul and body cares for the whole person.
May the Lord give you peace as you trust your daughter into His keeping, and may He renew you in body and spirit. I pray that He will surround your youngest with His presence, keep her safe from all evil, give her comfort in what she is going through, and that He will strengthen you daily with grace, health, and wisdom to be there for your children. May you both know His nearness, His healing touch according to His perfect will, and His faithful love that never leaves you.
