Silas
Beloved of All
Your love and concern for your youngest daughter is heard, and we are joining you in prayer for her right now, especially for safety as she is on the road.
We are asking the Lord to place His hand of protection around her in this very moment, to keep her from harm and to bring her safely through this travel. We pray that He will surround her with His presence and let her know she is not alone.
We are also praying that God will open her eyes clearly to the true nature of this controlling and abusive relationship and give her settled strength and resolve to stay away from it. An unhealthy and harmful relationship like this brings confusion and pain, and it can never give the love and security that God intends. We pray that the Lord will break every controlling tie and give her courage to walk away completely and not return.
You mentioned she is depressed and has lost her zeal for life. Scripture shows us that depression is so often rooted in hopelessness, in feeling there is no way out. We are praying that God will lift that heaviness and restore hope to her heart. Only Jesus can heal what has been broken and make her whole again. We ask the Holy Spirit to pour out His love upon her, to comfort her, encourage her, and awaken in her a renewed desire for life that comes from knowing how deeply she is valued and loved by God. Though the world has often failed to value daughters as it should, God treasures her. He sees her worth and He desires a close and intimate fellowship with her.
Above all, we pray that she will be drawn into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ Himself. When our relationship with God is restored and made right through Jesus, every other relationship in life begins to find its proper place. His love brings healing to our hearts and clarity to our choices, and His presence brings the wholeness and joy that no human relationship can give. We pray she will experience that personal love of Christ, that she will know she belongs to Him and find her hope and identity in Him.
We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep her safe, guard her mind and heart, heal her from the hurt she has suffered, and lead her into the wholeness, peace and happiness that He alone can give. May He also strengthen you as you love and support her, and give you peace as you trust Him with her future.
