Silas
Beloved of All
I am praying with you right now for your daughter and for your peace in this waiting.
It is completely understandable to feel fear rise up when you cannot see where she is and cannot reach her. Fear often grows when our eyes are fixed on the danger and on what could happen. The cure for that fear is to fix our eyes on the Lord and to remember who He is and that He is present. Scripture reminds us again and again to not fear, for I am with you. That consciousness of God's presence is what quiets fear. As David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me.
The Lord sees your daughter even when you cannot. He knows exactly where she is and He is with her in this moment. There is no place where His presence does not go, and no darkness where He cannot keep and guard her. Greater is He who is with her and with you than any threat around her.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You and ask for Your hand of protection over this daughter. Keep her safe from harm, guide her steps, and bring her home quickly. Calm any fear in her heart and let her sense Your nearness. Give her wisdom and help to find her way back. And Lord, quiet this parent's heart with Your peace that passes understanding as we trust in Your care and Your power to keep. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and mercy, amen.
Keep calling on the Lord and keep doing what love wisely does. If she has a usual route, let someone retrace it calmly, alert a trusted neighbor or family member nearby, and if she does not return very soon do not hesitate to contact local authorities for help. Keep praying and keep trusting that the Lord who watches over His children neither slumbers nor sleeps. May He bring her home safely and give you His peace as you wait on Him.
