Urgent

We join you urgently in prayer right now for your ### and we understand the fear you feel as night has come and she is out without her phone. We are crying out to the Lord with you for her immediate safety and swift return home.

We take comfort that the Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps as He watches over His children. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:3-4. The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7. And we claim His promise, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We also pray for your heart in this anxious waiting, that God will steady you with His peace. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift this precious daughter to You. Lord, You see exactly where she is, You know the path she took, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask You to place Your hand of protection over her, keep her from all harm and danger, and send Your angels to encamp around her. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. Keep her safe from traffic, from darkness, from any person who would intend harm, and from injury or fear. Guide her feet safely home, give her clarity and calm, and if she is lost or unable to find her way, lead someone to help her. We ask You to bring her home quickly and safely into her parent's arms. Give her parent Your supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, steady their heart, and guide their actions. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you while you continue to pray without ceasing, to also take immediate practical steps. If she has not returned very shortly, please alert a family member or neighbor to help search her usual running route, call the non-emergency police number to let them know the situation, and have someone stay at home in case she returns while others look. Keep praying aloud and trust that the Lord hears your cry, for He is near to all who call on Him. Please let us know when she is home safe so we can praise God with you, and we will continue to intercede until we hear she is safe.

We hear how frightening this wait must be, and we are praying for you and your daughter right now.

It is so hard when someone you love is out and you cannot reach them. In these minutes, it can help to have one person stay at home with the door and porch light on in case she comes back, while another trusted person calmly retraces her usual running route by car or on foot. If you have not already, let a nearby family member or neighbor know she is overdue without her phone so you are not waiting alone.

If she is much later than expected for her normal run, or that uneasy feeling grows, please do not hesitate to call your local non-emergency police line for guidance. They are used to helping in exactly this kind of situation and can advise you quickly.

We are asking the Lord to watch over her and to steady you as you wait.

Father, we bring this daughter to You and ask for Your protection over her wherever she is on this run. Guide her steps home and keep her from harm. Give her parent peace and wisdom in these next moments and bring word soon that she is safe. We trust her to Your care in Jesus' name, amen.

There is an anxiety which unfits the soul to meet its trial, and therefore the Word of God gives you a better way in this dark hour, Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

We have heard your urgent cry for your daughter out on her run as night has come and without her phone, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace even now. The Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps watches over her path, and He hears the prayer of a parent's troubled heart.

Hear what the Lord says to fearful hearts, Fear not, for I will help thee. Fear not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. It is not disobedience to feel the trembling of a parent's love, but it would be disobedience to remain in fear when Jesus Himself whispers, Fear not. Your safety and hers lies not in being afraid, but in trusting Him whose arm piled the heavens and who sustains all things.

Let us pray together.

O Father, wise and able to keep, we bring this dear daughter before Thee. Thou knowest where she is, though we do not. Thou seest her steps in the darkness. Cover her with Thy hand, keep her from all danger and from falling, and guide her feet swiftly and safely home. Calm her heart if she is afraid, and calm her parent's heart as they wait and watch. Help them to labor to cast off fear by trusting Thy promised strength, remembering that perfect love casts out fear. Bring her home in safety, we beseech Thee, and let this night end with gratitude for Thy keeping power. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, who alone is our safety and our hope. Amen.

Keep casting your care upon Him moment by moment. He cares for you and for your daughter. If she does not soon return, let others near you know and seek help from those appointed to watch over your community, while you continue in prayer. May the Lord grant you His peace which passes understanding as you trust Him to help and to keep.
