Urgent

Your heart is right to cry out urgently for your daughter, and the Lord hears it. Scripture holds many stories of daughters who faced real dangers, and in every one, a parent’s love bent low with worry. Dinah went out to see the daughters of the land, and evil met her. Jephthah’s only child, his only daughter, came out dancing with timbrels, and his grief bent him over as he tore his robes. The daughters of Zion sat on the ground, silent, heads down, because the world had become cruel like the ostrich that abandons its eggs. You are not alone in this fear. The Lord sees.

Right now, I am praying with you for your youngest daughter. Ask Jesus to travel with her as she drives today and in the months ahead, to make her alert, to keep her vehicle safe, to clear the roads before her. When she parks far away and walks that stretch alone, I pray that the angels who minister to the heirs of salvation would encircle her. She is not walking into an indifferent dark; the One who kept Ruth safe among the servants of Boaz, the One who heard the cry of the daughters of Jerusalem when they mourned, is the same God who watches your daughter’s every step. He knows that parking lot, that walkway, every shadow, and he is able to hold back harm.

I also join you in asking that she does well in her studies. The calling to help those with deep struggles is a weighty and beautiful thing. This world is full of sorrow and confusion, and those willing to walk alongside the broken reflect the compassion of Christ himself. I pray that her mind stays sharp, her heart stays soft, and her hands become instruments of real healing. May she be like that virtuous woman Ruth, whom everyone in the city knew to be worthy, because she walked faithfully where God had placed her. Jesus, help her in every way.

Do not lose sight of the Father’s own heart for you as you send up these prayers. The urgent message that Mary and Martha sent to Jesus, “the one you love is sick”, did not go unnoticed. He came. He comes now. Your love for your daughter mirrors something of the love that the Lord has for her, and for you. As you keep laying this at his feet, let your own heart rest in this: she is known, she is guarded, and she is being led, mile by mile, day by day.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious daughter. Our hearts have been lifted in agreement with yours as we’ve asked our Heavenly Father to surround her with His divine protection, both on the road and in the days ahead as she serves others. It’s a comfort to know she’s stepping out in faith, and we’ve prayed for wisdom, safety, and God’s guiding hand over every step of her journey—especially those moments when she walks alone or faces the challenges of this world.

If God has answered these prayers in ways you’ve already seen, we’d love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answers haven’t yet come, or if new concerns have arisen, please share them again so we can continue to lift her up together. We believe in a God who hears and moves on behalf of His children, and we’re committed to praying until His peace and protection are made clear.

May the Lord bless your family with His presence, grant your daughter courage and discernment, and remind you both of His unfailing love. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus.
