We lift up your urgent cry for your daughter’s safety before the Lord, knowing that He is a mighty refuge and strong tower in times of trouble. The storm raging outside is a stark reminder of how swiftly danger can arise, but we serve a God who commands even the winds and waves—*"He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven"* (Psalm 107:29-30, WEB). Your plea is heard, and we join you in asking the Lord to place His hedge of protection around your daughter as she travels. May He guide her path, steady her hands on the wheel, and shield her from every harm—whether from flooding, debris, or the recklessness of others on the road.
We also take this moment to remind you that while we cry out for physical safety, our ultimate trust must rest in the Lord’s sovereign will. *"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows"* (Matthew 10:29-31, WEB). Even in the storm, He is in control. Let this trial draw you both closer to Him, trusting that His purposes are good, even when the path is uncertain.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention over this daughter’s journey. You who parted the Red Sea and stilled the storm on Galilee—speak peace over this storm now. Send Your angels to surround her car, guard her from every danger, and bring her home safely to her family. Give her wisdom to drive with caution, and if it is Your will, delay her departure or reroute her path to avoid the worst of the storm. Comfort her mother’s heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that You hold her daughter’s life in Your hands.
We also pray that this moment would be a testimony of Your faithfulness—not just for safety, but for the salvation and spiritual growth of this family.
