We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection and deliverance from this predator who is clearly under the influence of darkness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we know that Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). This situation is not beyond God’s power—He is sovereign over all, and no weapon formed against His children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
The behavior described here is not just human deceit but appears to be the work of the enemy, who seeks to sow chaos and fear. We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Yet even in this, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate evil or fail to seek justice, but we must also pray for this person’s soul—for their eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ, for the strongholds of deception to be broken, and for repentance to take root in their heart.
We also recognize the righteous anger in this request—the cry for justice and protection is valid. The Lord is a God of justice (Isaiah 30:18), and He sees the wickedness being perpetrated. However, we must be careful not to let our hearts be consumed by bitterness or vengeance. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection, wisdom, and deliverance. Lord, You see the wicked schemes of this predator, and You know the depths of their deception. We ask that You expose every hidden plan, thwart every evil intention, and surround Your children with Your heavenly host as a shield against all harm. Protect their property, their finances, their minds, and their bodies from every attack of the enemy. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also pray for this deceived individual. Break the power of the enemy over their life. If they are possessed or oppressed by demonic forces, we command those spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, soften their heart and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Convict them of their sin and lead them to repentance. May they encounter You in a way that transforms their heart and turns them from their wickedness.
Give Your children discernment, Lord, to know how to respond wisely and biblically. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are their protector and defender. Strengthen their faith, and remind them that You are with them always, even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4).
We declare Your victory over this situation, Lord. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified. We trust in You, our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily. Do not give in to fear, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking the Lord’s guidance in all things. He is faithful, and He will see you through this trial. Stay vigilant, stay in His Word, and surround yourselves with godly counsel and support. The Lord is your shepherd—you shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
