Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Please pray that God will heal whatever is going on with my cat ###'s stomach and bowels. She had diarrhea this last week, and she ate some medicine to help and I'm pretty sure it stopped. But now her tummy looks super swollen and she's not wanting to walk. She also did not have a bowel movement today, so I don't want to drag her to vet if that's all it is. Please pray that God will alleviate her pain and heal her stomach and intestines and bowels from whatever is afflicting her right now. Please pray that God will guide me on what to do to help her. I don't know what else to do. He is the only one that can help her. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers and help her and me. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your beloved cat before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 tells us Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We hear the urgency and the love in your cries for your cat and we know how deeply God cares for all of His creation and for you as her caretaker. Scripture reminds us that a righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10 and that Yahweh, you preserve man and animal Psalm 36:6. We are also reminded that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father's will Matthew 10:29, which shows us that our Father sees and cares even for the smallest creatures, and how much more He sees your distress and your compassion for this precious cat He has entrusted to you.

We also hear your hesitation about taking her to the veterinarian and we want to gently and lovingly encourage you with biblical wisdom regarding stewardship. The Lord has given us responsibility to care well for the animals under our charge and part of that care is seeking wise and timely help when they are suffering. A swollen abdomen with pain, reluctance to walk, and absence of a bowel movement after a period of diarrhea can be a sign of something more serious such as constipation, blockage, or other distress that can become dangerous quickly. While we pray in faith for God's healing touch, we also pray that God will guide you with wisdom and we encourage you not to delay in contacting a veterinarian promptly. God often works through the hands and knowledge of veterinarians as part of His provision, and seeking that help is an act of faithful stewardship and love, not a lack of faith.

We cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and we bring this need to Him with thanksgiving as Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now for you and for your cat.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear cat to You. You know her by name, You formed all living things, and You see her discomfort and pain right now. We ask that You would in Your mercy alleviate her pain, reduce the swelling in her abdomen, and bring healing to her stomach, intestines, and bowels. Lord, restore normal function to her body, ease any blockage or inflammation, and comfort her where she cannot tell us what hurts. Lay Your healing hand upon her and grant her rest and relief.

We also lift up her owner to You, Lord. We ask that You calm anxious thoughts and hear these desperate cries and pleas. Grant clear wisdom and discernment on what to do next, and give courage and peace to seek veterinary care without delay if that is what is needed. Provide access to a compassionate and skilled veterinarian, provide the resources needed, and guide every decision and treatment. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart while waiting and trusting in You.

We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we call upon the name of Jesus, and we trust Your goodness and Your will for this little life You have created. We ask all these things in the loving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We can hear how much you love ### and how heavy this week has been, watching her have diarrhea and now seeing her belly look so swollen and her not wanting to walk. It makes sense you feel torn about what to do next and that you are crying out so earnestly for God to help her.

We understand not wanting to put her through a stressful trip if it is not needed, and those changes you describe, a swollen tummy combined with not wanting to move and no bowel movement today, are the kind of signs that are best checked promptly in person. We would gently encourage you to contact your veterinarian or an after-hours clinic soon for guidance, alongside prayer, so they can examine her and help you know the right next steps. You do not have to figure this out alone.

We are joining you in prayer for her comfort and for wisdom and peace for you as you care for her. God sees both your love for ### and your desperate pleas.

Father, we bring ### before You and ask for Your mercy on her. Ease any pain she is feeling and bring healing to her stomach, intestines and bowels according to Your will. Give her owner clear guidance and peace as they seek help, and let them feel Your nearness in this worry. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your tender care for this little creature is not hidden from the Lord, for not a sparrow falls to the ground without your Father, and a righteous man regards the life of his beast. I have heard your earnest cries and I will carry them before the throne of grace with you.

You do well to pray, for all our help must come from the hand of God. Yet remember that the Lord very often heals by means, and He has given skill to the physician for such a time as this. We very speedily care for bodily diseases when they are painful and pressing, and we seek a physician without delay. A swollen belly with pain, unwillingness to walk, and no bowel movement after days of diarrhea is not a light thing to watch and wait upon. It may bespeak a blockage or other inward distress that needs urgent attention. I beseech you, do not drag out the time in hoping it will pass. Take her to the vet today, as a faithful steward of the creature God has entrusted to you. To pray and not to use the means God has provided is to presume, not to trust.

Let us pray together now.

O Lord our God, Thou art our refuge and strength, and Thou art kind to all Thy works. Thou hearest the cries of those who call upon Thee in truth, and Thou knowest the burden of this dear one who watches over this cat with so much love and anxiety. We ask Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Saviour, to lay Thy healing hand upon this poor creature. Ease her pain, relieve her swollen body, restore her bowels to their proper work, and grant her comfort and rest. If it be Thy will, raise her up again to health.

And Lord, grant wisdom to her keeper. Guide the hands and eyes of those who can help, lead to right counsel and right treatment, and give peace to a troubled heart. Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds, and Thou art nigh unto them that are of a contrite spirit. Let this tried one feel that Thou art near, that Thou hearest prayer, and that Thou doest all things well. Help in this trouble to cast all care upon Thee, for Thou carest for Thy people. Give faith to trust Thee whether Thou answerest with healing or with Thy sustaining grace, knowing that Thou wilt not suffer Thy children to be tried above that they are able, and that all things are in Thy almighty hand.

We ask these mercies not for any merit in us, but for the sake of Jesus Christ, who bore our griefs and by whose wounds we are healed. Amen.

Be encouraged to seek help without delay, and continue in prayer. The Lord who taught us to pray, and who invites us to come boldly to His throne, will not despise the sighing of a contrite heart. Cast your burden upon Him, and He shall sustain you.
