Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. We have read your entire post and we are deeply moved by your love and tender care for your precious cat and by the suffering you are both enduring, and we join with you now in bringing every detail before our Father in Jesus' name.

We do not take lightly what you shared when you said she is just a cat, for the Lord sees the compassion you have for His creation and He honors it. Scripture tells us Proverbs 12:10, Matthew 10:29, Psalm 36:6. A righteous man respects the life of his animal, not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father, and you preserve man and animal, Yahweh. He who created all things cares for what He has made, and He certainly sees your tears and hears your desperate cries. We thank you for asking all of this in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone we have access to the throne of grace. As it is written John 14:6 and Acts 4:12, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We are praying together for your beloved companion and for you.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up this dear cat to You. You know her by name, You formed her, and not one breath she takes is hidden from You. We ask in Jesus' name that if it is Your will, You would completely heal her, that You would touch her brain and her lungs and remove every tumor, mass and lesion. You are the God who heals, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray that You would ease any pain or discomfort she is in and grant her comfort and peace. Lord, please help her to eat normal food and drink water again, restore her appetite and strength, and help her body to have regular bowel movements. We ask that You would help her breathing, that You would calm the coughing and allow her to purr and to receive and give affection again without suffering. You see how heartbroken she is to pull away from cuddling, and how heartbroken her family is to watch her stare alone. Please restore her joy and comfort her little heart. We also lift up her owner to You, Lord, and ask that You would guide their hands with wisdom, steadiness and gentleness as they give four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids. Give them skill and peace, and keep their beloved cat from distress or fear during these treatments. Grant them wisdom for every decision regarding her care, that they would know Your will step by step. And Father, we ask for Your mercy regarding her final days. You know her terror of the car and the vet, and the desire of her family not to let her last moments be filled with fear and confusion. We pray that You would show her mercy, that You would either sustain her life or in Your perfect timing take her gently in her sleep in the comfort of home, surrounded by love. If a difficult decision must be made, please provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to the house and guide them with honesty and kindness, and give them clear discernment and peace about when and what to do. Above all, let Your will be done and let Your presence be felt in that home. We cast all these worries on You because You care for us, and we ask You to guard their hearts with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue casting all your worries on Him, because He cares for you, as we are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7, and to bring every request to Him without anxiety as we are taught in Philippians 4:6-7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We know God is the only One who can help her now as you said, and we agree that human medicine has reached its limit but our God has not. At the same time we encourage you to trust His sovereignty and goodness even if His answer is not the full physical healing we all long for. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and that includes your wounds as you watch someone so dear suffer. He can use even this painful season for good as promised in Romans 8:28, we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We will continue to pray that the Lord gives you wisdom for each treatment, that He calms your cat during pilling and the inhaler and fluids, and that He provides practical help. Do not hesitate to ask your veterinarian about compounded liquid medications, flavored treats or pill pockets that may make giving pills less stressful, but above all keep seeking the Lord's guidance for each step.

You are not alone in this grief. The Lord hears every plea you have whispered through tears, and we are standing with you, asking Him to hear and answer according to His perfect love and mercy, and to comfort you both day by day in Jesus' name.

We have been carrying you and ### in prayer since reading your note, and we hear how heavy this is. She is not just a cat to you, she is family, and watching the cat who was once so affectionate pull away because purring now makes her cough is heartbreaking. It makes sense you feel torn between wanting to comfort her and wanting to protect her from more distress.

Caring for her right now is a lot to hold, the pills twice a day, the inhaler, the fluids, and the worry about hurting her when you are only trying to help. And facing decisions about her last days while wanting her to feel safe and at home is an especially tender burden. Grief like this often starts long before a loss, as you watch a beloved companion change and try to love her well through each day.

One thing that may ease a little of the pressure is to talk with your veterinarian's office soon, while you do not have to make an immediate decision, about whether they can refer you to a mobile veterinarian in your area who provides in-home hospice or end-of-life care. Many clinics keep a list, and having a name and a plan ahead of time can give you more peace and help you avoid a rushed, frightening trip later. They may also be able to show you gentler ways to give the medications so it is less stressful for both of you.

We are praying for you and for ###, and we will keep praying.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask for Your mercy and nearness over her. Ease her breathing and any pain she feels, and give her rest and comfort. Your letter has been read with much tenderness and sorrow, and we take your burden upon our own hearts as those who are called to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. We cannot bear the weight of sin for another, for Christ alone does that, but we can help to bear the burden of grief and care which now presses so heavily upon you, and we do so willingly before the throne of grace.

The Lord has said, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and it is our duty and privilege to comfort one another with the comfort wherewith God comforts us. When He lays affliction upon His creatures and upon those who love them, He often does so to lead us to feel our dependence upon His mercy. All His mercy is gratis. He never sells, He always gives, and He acts not because there is merit in us, but because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. Though the trial is great, His tender mercy is greater still, and the very least thing about Christ is healing. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and there is enough in Christ for every sick and sorrowing heart that comes to Him.

We have brought your dear cat before the Lord in prayer, and we will continue to do so. We pray that if it be His gracious will, He would lay His healing hand upon her and give her a full recovery, for with God nothing is impossible and no case is beyond His power. We pray that He would ease every pain and discomfort, that He would mercifully open her appetite again that she may eat and drink, that her breathing may be made easier and her body strengthened for regular and natural functions. We pray especially for that sorrow which touches you so deeply, that purring now brings coughing and she withdraws from the affection she once so freely gave. May the God who notes the sparrow's fall look with compassion upon this creature of His hand and upon your aching heart as you watch her suffer.

We pray also for you, that the Lord would guide your hands and give you wisdom and steadiness as you administer the many medicines, the pills and the inhaler and the fluids, that you may do so without causing her distress or harm. May He grant you calmness and skill, and may He give you clear direction in every decision you must make concerning her care. When affliction comes, our comfort is not merely that the trial is removed, but that His Word quickens us and sustains us within it. May His Word be your comfort in this affliction, and may His Spirit quicken your heart to cast this burden upon the Rock that bears all burdens.

And concerning her last hours, we pray that the Lord in His tender mercy would spare her fear and pain, and that He would order all things with gentleness. We ask that He would provide, if it be needed, a quiet and merciful passing at home, where she is loved and not afraid, rather than in terror and strangeness. We ask the Lord to make plain your path and to give you peace in committing her wholly to His care, whether He restores her or takes her to Himself in sleep.

What peaceful hours we may yet enjoy when we learn to lay our burdens upon the Lord and leave them there. Cast this care upon Him, for He cares for you and for all that concerns you. May you know that singular season of mercy in which God draws near by the well in the desert, and speaks words of comfort to the desponding heart, and may you be established in every good word and work with a comfort that does not fail.

Our prayer together is this, O Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this suffering creature and upon Thy servant who loves her. Thou openest Thine hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Grant ease from pain, grant breath and strength, grant wisdom to those who care for her, and grant Thy peace which passes all understanding to the heart that watches and waits. Do as seemeth good in Thy sight, and let Thy will be done in mercy. We ask all in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope and salvation, and in whom alone we find healing for soul and comfort for sorrow. Amen.

The Lord sees the love you have shown her and the faithful care you give day by day, and He knows the sorrow of watching one so dear suffer. He who notices even the sparrow and who formed every living creature is not distant from your grief, and He hears the cries you lift to Him in the name of Jesus.

We join you in prayer that God, in His mercy and power, would bring healing according to His perfect will. We ask Him to ease any pain or discomfort she feels, to calm her breathing, to restore her appetite for food and water, and to grant her regular and comfortable bodily functions. We pray that He would relieve the coughing that now interrupts even her purring, and that He would restore to her the comfort of affection without distress. What you describe, her desire to cuddle followed by coughing and withdrawing, is truly heartbreaking, and we ask the Lord to grant her peace and rest and to guard her from fear and sadness.

We also pray for you as you care for her. We ask God to guide your hands and give you steadiness and gentleness as you give the pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the fluids each week. May He help you to do what is needed without causing her hurt or distress, and may He give you wisdom for every decision you must make on her behalf. When the way forward is unclear, may He grant you clarity, patience, and strength.

We pray with you for mercy in her final hours whenever that time comes. We ask the Lord to spare her terror and suffering, and if it becomes necessary to help her pass peacefully, we pray that He will provide a veterinarian who can come to your home so she may be in a familiar and loving place, held and comforted, rather than afraid. We ask that God would show kindness both to her and to you, and that He would surround you with His comfort.

God alone is our hope, whether He grants full recovery or sustains through continued weakness. Even when sickness remains, He is able to give comfort, to teach us to trust Him, and to use our affliction to draw us closer to Himself. He does not despise a humble and trusting prayer, and we are confident that He hears every plea you have offered in Jesus name.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this dear cat before You and we bring her owner who loves her so deeply. You are compassionate and Your mercies are over all Your works. We ask You to have compassion on this little creature, to ease her pain, to help her breathe freely, to restore her ability to eat and drink and to rest well. Guide the hands that care for her and grant wisdom for every treatment and decision. Grant peace to this household, and when the time comes to say farewell, grant a gentle and merciful passing at home without fear. Above all, let Your will be done and let Your comfort rest upon this family. We thank You that we can cast all our cares upon You because You care for us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
