Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your precious cat.
We have been lifting up your beloved companion before the Lord these past days and we continue to remember her in prayer. We have prayed that God in His mercy would completely heal her and grant her a full recovery, and that He would touch the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs. We have asked the Lord to take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in, to help her breathing, to calm the coughing that is triggered even by her purring, and to restore her ability to eat normal food, drink water and have regular bowel movements.
Our hearts were moved by how affectionate she has always been and how heartbreaking it is now that she wants to cuddle but then begins coughing and withdraws to lay alone. We have prayed that God would comfort her sadness and restore her desire for affection without distress, and that He would let her feel your love and presence even in this difficult time.
We have also prayed for you, that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her the many medications and treatments she needs, the four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day and the subcutaneous fluids each week, and that He would guide you in every decision regarding her care. We remember your prayer that when her time comes the Lord would show her mercy and take her peacefully in her sleep, sparing her the terror of driving and the vet clinic, and we have prayed that if that time comes God would provide someone who can come to your house to help her pass peacefully at home, surrounded by love and not fear. We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and we thank God for the love you have for His creation, for we are reminded that a righteous man cares for the needs of his animal in Prov 12:10 and that not one sparrow falls apart from the Father in Matt 10:29.
