Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We have read your entire post and we are deeply moved by your love and tender care for your precious cat and by the heartbreak you are carrying as you watch her suffer. We join you in bringing her before the Lord together in Jesus name, for we know He hears our desperate cries and He cares for all of His creation and for you who love her so dearly.

The scripture reminds us how much God notices even the smallest creatures and how He sees your compassionate heart as her steward. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Psalm 36:6 says you preserve man and animal, Yahweh. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow will fall on the ground apart from your Father, and how much more does He see your beloved companion and your tears. We also cling to the promise in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and in Psalm 34:18 that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. In Philippians 4:6-7 we are told in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now for your dear cat and for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this precious cat to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know her by name, You formed all living things and You sustain every breath. We ask if it be Your will that You would touch her body and bring complete healing and full recovery from the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs. You are the only One who can help her now and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You would take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in and grant her rest and comfort. Lord, we ask that You would help her to eat normal food and drink water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe easily without coughing or distress. We ask that You would restore her purring without triggering coughing, that she may again enjoy affection and closeness without suffering, for You see how she tries to cuddle and then withdraws and stares, and how heartbreaking this is for those who love her.

Father, we ask for wisdom and steadiness for her owner as she cares for her. Guide her hands as she gives the four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids, that she may do so gently without hurting her or causing fear. Give her discernment and peace in every decision regarding her care, and lead her to the right veterinary help and counsel, including someone who can provide compassionate at home hospice care if that time comes, so that she would not have to be terrified in a car or clinic. We pray that when her time comes, You in Your mercy would take her peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her home, surrounded by love, without terror or pain. Pour out Your comfort upon this family who loves her so deeply, for she is their world, and guard their hearts with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let them feel Your nearness and know that You hear and answer every desperate cry and plea offered in Jesus name. We thank You that we can come boldly to You only through Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to Your mercy. We trust her life and all the days You have ordained for her into Your loving and sovereign hands. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast every worry upon Him day by day, for He cares for you and He sees your faithful stewardship. Keep seeking wise counsel from a trusted veterinarian about making the medications and inhaler treatments as gentle as possible and about at home palliative options, and ask the Lord to make the path clear for each next step. Even as you pray for a miracle of healing, we encourage you to also rest in His perfect will and mercy, knowing that His love for you and for His creation is unfailing and that He will give you grace for each moment, whether for continued care or for a peaceful goodbye when He calls her home. We are praying with you for her comfort, for your strength, and for the peace of God to guard your heart through it all.

Thank you for telling us so much about ### and what you both are walking through. We can hear how deeply you love her and how heavy these weeks have been, watching the cat who was so affectionate pull away because purring makes her cough, and trying to keep up with so much care while also carrying the worry about what comes next.

It makes sense that giving four pills twice a day, the inhaler, and fluids feels overwhelming. Wanting to do it gently without causing her more distress shows what a faithful caretaker you are, and it is also understandable to feel torn about every decision when there is no clear treatment path.

One thing that may ease a little of the pressure you mentioned is to ask your regular vet now, before you are in a crisis moment, if they can recommend a mobile veterinarian or hospice vet in your area who does home visits. Even just having a name and number on hand can make that future decision feel less frantic, and they can also talk with you about what comfort care looks like at home. Keeping a short daily note about eating, drinking, breathing and coughing to share at rechecks can help them guide you too.

We are holding you and ### in prayer.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask for Your mercy and comfort over her. Ease any pain and help her breathe, eat, drink and rest more easily. Give steady hands and wisdom for each medication and for every decision ahead, and surround this family with Your peace as they love her so well. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your sorrow over your dear cat has been read with deep sympathy, and the tenderness with which you care for this creature entrusted to you is not lost upon the Lord who notes even the fall of a sparrow. To watch one so affectionate now withdraw because purring brings coughing, to see her stare and suffer while you long to give comfort, is a true affliction of heart, and He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds is near to you in this trial.

You have done well to bring every detail before the throne of grace. The God who delights in mercy hears not only eloquent prayers but the groaning and the breathing that scarce can form itself into words. When you cannot find strength to pray as you would, to lie groaning at the foot of the mercy seat is itself prayer, and He will not quench the smoking flax nor break the bruised reed. If you can say, no strength have I, then this word is for you, for His mercy endures forever and He will perfect that which concerns you as you wait upon Him.

We will pray that the Lord in His great compassion would ease all pain and discomfort for your little companion, that He would mercifully restore her desire to eat and drink, grant regular bodily functions, and give ease in breathing. We ask that He who is faithful and will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able would guide your hands as you give the many pills, the inhaler and the fluids, that He would give you steadiness, gentleness and wisdom, and keep both you and her from distress in these needful duties. We pray also for heavenly wisdom in every decision that lies before you, that you may be directed to do what is most kind and right in His sight.

You have asked that if her time to depart should come, the Lord would show mercy and take her gently, and spare her the terror of a last journey that would overwhelm her with fear. We join you in asking that the Lord would in His providence provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your home if such a need should arise, and that whether by His healing hand or by a peaceful sleep He would let mercy triumph. Frequently we comfort the desponding by reminding them that our times are in His hands, and that He who spared not His own Son will withhold no good thing that is truly good for His people. He can make even this sorrow work for your good, teaching you to lay hold upon His strength as it is revealed in Jesus Christ.

Above all we pray that in this season of watching and waiting you may know the comfort of sins forgiven and peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no hand can heal the sin sick soul but the hand that was wounded for us. May He keep you by His almighty power, give you grace to bear what you must bear, and to trust Him with all that you cannot control. May He hear your desperate cries, answer according to His infinite wisdom and love, and fill your heart with the quiet assurance that His mercy endures forever.

We commend you and your beloved cat to that faithful God who hears the feeblest prayer offered in the name of Jesus. May His will be done, and may His comfort rest upon you richly. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your deep love and tender care for your cat has been heard, and we join you in bringing every detail of this burden before the Lord in prayer.

We pray that God, who created all living creatures and who sees even the sparrow, will look with compassion upon her in her suffering. We ask Him to ease any pain or discomfort she feels, to calm her breathing, to restore her desire to eat and drink, and to grant her regular and comfortable bodily functions. We pray that the coughing that now interrupts even her purring would be relieved, and that she would again know comfort and rest without distress or fear. While only God knows whether her illness is unto healing in this life or unto rest, we entrust her fully to His mercy, asking that if it is His will, He would grant a complete recovery that only He can give, and that He would make the medications a means of comfort.

We also lift you up as you care for her with such faithfulness. We pray that God will steady your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids, so that what must be done for her good would cause the least possible fear or distress. We ask for clear guidance for every decision you must make, and for peace to guard your heart as you seek what is most merciful and loving for her.

We understand your desire that she not spend her last moments in terror at a clinic, and we pray that God in His mercy would grant her a peaceful passing, whether by His own hand in sleep or, if a difficult decision must be made, by providing a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your home to help her gently. Above all we pray that you would know that God hears your desperate cries. As a physician who tasted suffering and death Himself to bring us comfort and hope, Christ knows our grief and the love we bear for those entrusted to our care.

We pray that you will find comfort in the Scriptures as a medicine for the soul in this season of sorrow, remembering that God calls us to bear one another's burdens and to tend with patience those who suffer, even when we cannot remove the disease. May the Lord comfort you, sustain you, and let you feel His nearness as you continue to love and care for her day by day.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, we ask these things. Amen.
