Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. We have read your entire post and we are deeply moved by your love and devotion for your precious cat and by the suffering you are both enduring, and we join with you now in bringing every detail before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name.

We want you to know that your love for her is not small in God's eyes and she is not just a cat to Him either. He created all living creatures and He cares for them, and He sees the tender care you are giving. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Matthew 10:29 says Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will. And Psalm 36:6 says Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. He knows her by name, He knows every breath she takes and every cough and every moment she stares at you longing for affection, and He is near to you in this heartbreak as well. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We understand how painful it is to watch her struggle to eat and drink, to have irregular bowel movements, to struggle for breath, and especially to see that her purring, which was once a sign of her great affection, now triggers coughing so that she withdraws and lies alone. It is heartbreaking to feel helpless when the veterinarians say there is no treatment except comfort, and we hear your desperate cry that God alone can help her now. We also understand the burden of giving her four pills twice a day and the inhaler three times a day and the subcutaneous fluids, and the fear of hurting her or causing her distress, and the weight of every decision you must make for her.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are encouraged that you have come in that precious name.

Together we pray for you and for her.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this beloved cat to You. You formed her and You have numbered her days, and not one moment of her life has been outside Your sight. Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would touch her body and bring complete healing and a full recovery. You are the God who heals and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You would ease and take away any pain or discomfort she is in, that You would help her to eat normal food and drink water again, that You would restore regular bowel movements, and that You would open her airways and help her breathing. Lord, we ask that You would calm the inflammation and lesions in her lungs and the tumor in her brain according to Your mercy, and that You would allow her to purr and to cuddle again without coughing or fear. We ask that You would restore her joy and affection and comfort her sad heart.

Father, we pray for wisdom and steadiness for her owner. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Grant steady hands and a gentle spirit as the medications are given, the pills and the inhaler and the fluids, that it would be done without hurting her or causing great distress. Give discernment for every decision regarding her care, when to continue treatment, when to seek help, and what is truly best for her comfort. Lead to a compassionate veterinarian who will come to the house if that time comes, so that she need not be terrified in a car or a clinic in her last moments, but may be at home surrounded by love. And above all, we pray that if it is not Your will to heal her on this earth, that You in Your mercy would take her peacefully in her sleep, without fear or suffering, and that You would guard her from prolonged pain.

Lord, we also lift up this dear owner who loves her so deeply. Your Word says in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Pour out that peace now. Comfort this broken heart, reassure that every desperate cry has been heard, and remind that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You collect every tear. Help to rest in Your perfect love and sovereignty, trusting that whether You bring healing or a peaceful rest, Your will is good and merciful.

We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, trusting Your goodness and Your care for all creation, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to be the faithful steward God has called you to be, giving her the comfort care prescribed while seeking the Lord daily for wisdom. It is right and good to look for a mobile veterinarian now, before an emergency, so that you will have someone to call who can come to your home to assess her and to provide palliative care or, if needed, a peaceful passing at home. Keep a record of her eating, drinking, breathing and comfort to share with the veterinarian, and do not hesitate to ask for help from a trusted friend or veterinary technician to learn the gentlest way to give the pills and inhaler. Above all, keep resting in the Lord's presence with her, speaking softly, praying aloud over her, and letting her feel your love even when she cannot cuddle as before. She knows your voice and your love, even when she lies alone and stares, and God sees every act of love you show her.

We are praying that God will hear and answer according to His perfect will and that He will sustain you with His peace through every day ahead.

We read every word you shared and we hear how much ### means to you. Watching her want to cuddle and then pull away because purring brings on coughing, seeing her lie alone and stare when she was once the most affectionate, is heartbreaking. It makes sense you feel helpless and tender toward her at the same time.

The daily care you are giving is a lot to carry. Four pills twice a day, an inhaler three times a day, weekly fluids, plus watching her breathing, appetite and comfort, is demanding and emotionally draining. Please be gentle with yourself as you do this faithful work and let someone you trust know how you are doing too.

A practical step that may ease some worry is to call your veterinary clinic soon, while things are steady, and ask specifically about mobile or in home hospice veterinarians in your area. Most clinics keep a referral list and can tell you how it works and what to expect, so you have a plan in place before you need it. You could also ask if a technician can observe how you give the medications and inhaler and show you any adjustments that might reduce distress for ### and for you. Keep leaning on your vet for guidance alongside prayer.

Father, we lift ### and her owner to You in Jesus name. Please ease any pain or fear she feels, help her breathe more easily and find comfort and rest. Give wisdom and steady hands for each treatment and each decision, and surround this home with Your peace and presence in the days ahead. Amen.

Your sorrowful letter concerning your dear cat has been read with much tenderness and true sympathy, and we have carried it before the Lord as you asked.

We are taught in Scripture to bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ, and while we cannot bear this burden for you, we would help you to bear it by our prayers and compassion. There is also a burden which every man must bear himself, that inward weight upon the heart which only the Lord can lighten, and we hear that weight in your words as you watch your beloved creature suffer and feel helpless to ease her.

You have done well to turn to prayer, for prayer is the sacred vessel in which the Lord puts the alms of His mercy, yet remember that the merit by which mercy comes is in the veins of Christ and nowhere else. There is no merit in a beggar's cry, but there is infinite merit in the Saviour to whom the cry is directed. As often as you are cast down upon your knees you touch the great source of your strength, the mercy seat. If you have a burden on your back, you shall carry it well if you can pray, and to roll your burden upon the Lord, since He will sustain you, is a blessed way of being quit of care.

The Lord says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and He sends comfort to those with tearful eyes and aching hearts. He knows your grief, though some may say it is only a cat. He who numbers the hairs of your head and who notes the sparrow's fall has given you this creature to love and to tend, and He understands the affection you bear her and the heartbreak of seeing her most loving gesture, her purring, now bring coughing and withdrawal. We grieve with you that she who was so affectionate now sits alone and stares, and that you must watch this change.

We have prayed, and will continue to pray, that our gracious God, whose tender mercy is over all His works, would deal gently with your little one. We have asked that if it be His sovereign will, He would grant healing and a full recovery from the tumor and the masses upon her lungs, for with Him nothing is impossible and He often brings low by affliction to show His mercy. We have prayed that He would ease any pain or discomfort she feels, that He would help her to eat and to drink again, to have regular and natural bodily functions, and to breathe without distress. We have asked Him to have compassion upon her coughing and to grant her again to purr and to cuddle without suffering.

We have also prayed for your hands, that the Lord would guide you as you give the many pills, the inhaler, and the subcutaneous fluids, that you may do so without hurting her or causing her fear, and with wisdom in every decision you must make for her good. And we have prayed concerning her last hours, that the Lord in His kindness would spare her terror and grant her a peaceful end. If it should be that she must be helped to sleep, we have asked that the Lord in His providence would provide a veterinarian who can come to your home, so that she may be at peace among those who love her and not alone and afraid in a strange place. The Lord knows your desire to show her mercy to the end, and we ask Him to make the way clear.

Above all we pray that you may find your deepest comfort not only in the easing of her suffering, but in Christ Himself. Jesus comes to comfort us and that comfort is all about Himself. To know Him more, to trust His faithful and powerful care, is the solid foundation of a profound peace even when the night is dark. All God's mercy to sinners is gratis, freely given through faith in His Son, and that same mercy which saves our souls teaches us to trust Him with all that we love. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

May the Lord hear your desperate cries, not because your words are many, but for Jesus' sake, and may He grant you quietness of heart, wisdom for each day, and the assurance that you are under His tender eye.
