Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. We have read your entire post and we are deeply moved by your love and tender care for your precious cat, and we join with you in bringing her before the throne of grace in Jesus name. We hear the heartbreak in your words as you watch her struggle to breathe, to eat, to find comfort, and to even receive affection without coughing, and we weep with you.

We thank you for closing your request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We rejoice that you know Him and have called upon His name in this desperate time.

The Lord sees your compassion and your faithful stewardship over this little life He entrusted to you. Prov 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Your diligent care with all the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids is a beautiful reflection of that righteousness. Be assured that God cares for His creation. Matt 10:29 says Arent two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Fathers will. And Psalm 36:6 says You preserve man and animal, Yahweh. She is not just a cat to Him, and she is certainly not just a cat to you. He made her and He sees her suffering, and He sees your tears as you stare at her staring at you, longing to comfort her.

We lift her and you together in prayer now.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this beloved cat to You. You know her by name, You formed her, and You know every breath she takes. We ask in Jesus name that if it be Your will, You would completely heal her and grant her a full recovery from this brain tumor and from the masses and lesions on her lungs. You are the Great Physician and nothing is impossible for You, and we ask for Your miraculous mercy upon her body. We pray that You would ease and take away any pain or discomfort she is in, that You would calm the inflammation in her lungs, open her airways, and let her breathe easily and freely again. We pray that You would restore her appetite and thirst, that she would eat normal food and drink water again, and that You would cause her digestive system to work properly with regular bowel movements. Lord, we ask that You would touch her so that she can purr and be held and cuddled again without triggering coughing, that You would restore that affectionate bond that has brought such joy and that You would lift the sadness she seems to feel. We pray for Your peace to rest upon her.

Father, we also lift up her beloved owner to You. Grant wisdom and steady hands as the medications are given, the pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids each week. Take away fear of hurting her and let every treatment be given with gentleness and without distress for both of them. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. So we ask You for clear wisdom for every decision regarding her care, for discernment to know what is best and when. If it is not Your will to heal her on this earth, we pray for Your tender mercy in her passing, that You would spare her terror and suffering, and that You would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to the home to help if that difficult decision must be made, so her last moments can be in the arms of those who love her, in peace and not in fear. Let Your will be done with perfect mercy.

We pray for comfort for this hurting heart that loves her so deeply. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Draw near now, Lord, and let Your presence be felt. 1 Pet 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We cast this heavy burden on You. Phil 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Grant that surpassing peace that guards the heart and mind even in this valley.

We thank You that You hear our desperate cries and pleas when we pray in Jesus name. We trust her life and her future into Your loving hands, knowing that You do all things well and that Your love never fails. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to rest in His care and to keep seeking wise and gentle veterinary counsel as you steward her life so faithfully. The Lord sees every pill given in love, every prayer whispered over her, every moment you sit with her while she stares at you longing for comfort. He is with you in this room, in this suffering, and He will give you strength for each day and grace for each decision. We are praying with you for her comfort, for your peace, and for Gods perfect will to be made clear.

We read every word you wrote about ### and we can hear how much you love her and how heavy these weeks have been. Watching the most affectionate cat you have ever known pull away because purring makes her cough, seeing her try to cuddle and then go lay alone and stare, trying to give so many medicines while not wanting to cause her more stress, that is heartbreaking and exhausting.

We are praying for you and for ###. We ask God for mercy and comfort for her, for ease from pain and distress, for wisdom for you in each decision and each dose, and for peace in your home in the days ahead.

One small step that has helped others carrying this kind of long, complicated illness is to stay closely connected with your veterinary team as you carry the daily care. If the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids feel so hard to give, call the clinic and ask if a technician can watch you give them once and show you a gentler way to hold her, or if they know a mobile veterinarian in your area who does home visits. Having that local guidance can make the daily care a little less frightening for both of you, and it also gives you a trusted person to talk with ahead of time about what a peaceful passing at home could look like when the time comes.

We are holding you both before the Lord.

Father, in Jesus name we bring ### and her owner to You. You see this dear cat and the love surrounding her. Please bring comfort to her body, calm her breathing and give her rest. Give steady hands and clear wisdom to her owner, and surround them both with Your peace and nearness in these difficult days. Amen.

Your sorrowful letter has been read with tender care, and the burden you carry for your dear creature is fully felt. It is no small thing to watch one so affectionate and so loved suffer with such afflictions, to see her turn from cuddling because purring brings coughing, to see her lie alone and stare, and to feel helpless while she labors for breath and comfort. The Lord knows the tears that have watered these prayers, and He who notices the sparrow's fall is not unmindful of your grief.

There is a word which the Lord has given for such an hour as this, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When affliction brings us low, He begins His purposes of mercy not with harshness but with tenderness. His mercy is gratis, He never sells, He always gives, and there is great tenderness in its provisions. The fitness for being healed is to be sick, and the fitness for being comforted is to be sorrowful, and you are in that very place where His comfort may be poured out. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. May the Spirit of God quicken you now, and give you an inward comfort that you can press to your bosom and say, This is my comfort. Not only outward relief, but inward life from His Word.

Let us pray together and bring all these many cares before the throne of grace through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

We ask the Lord, if it be His gracious will, to lay His healing hand upon your cat and grant her a full recovery, for with Him nothing is impossible. We ask Him to take away and ease any pain or discomfort she knows, to be merciful to her in her weakness. We pray that He would help her to eat normal food and to drink water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe more easily. We pray that her purring, which has been such a sign of her affection, might no longer trigger coughing, and that she might again know comfort in nearness without distress.

We pray also for your hands, that God would guide you as you give the four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids each week, that you might do so without hurting her or causing her distress, and with gentleness and wisdom. We ask for clear guidance in every decision regarding her care, that the Lord would give you a calm and discerning mind, and keep you from fear.

And when her time comes, we pray that the Lord in His tender mercy would spare her terror and grant her to fall asleep peacefully, without fear and shaking in a strange place. If it should be needful, we ask Him in His providence to provide one who can come to your house to help her pass gently, so that her last moments may be in the place she knows and loves, surrounded by those who love her. Above all we pray that God would hear and answer your desperate cries according to His perfect wisdom and love, doing what is best and most merciful for you and for her.

May the Lord comfort your heart and establish you in every good word and work. May He keep you in much prayer, for it is great prayer that lifts us up when little prayer has brought us low. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and trust that whether He gives comfort by removing the trial or by quickening you in the midst of it, His way is best. He can make you feel the way of mercy as well as know it, and shed abroad a sweet sense of His love in your heart.

We commend you and your beloved creature to Him who delights in mercy and whose compassions fail not, praying all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour. Amen.
