Please pray for my son, David, and his entire situation with his daughters and ex-wife. I would also appreciate prayers for me as his mother, that I would know exactly how to pray for him. It's been a very long and discouraging road for David since his divorce a year ago, and because of his present circumstances, it seems like God has turned a deaf ear to his needs. I know this is NOT true, but because he has had difficulty with depression before, and suicidal tendencies, I am very sensitive to his moods and emotions. I am doing spiritual warfare and praying over him when he visits me, but he is continuing to be very negative and angry. Thank you so very much for all of your prayers for us during this very excruciating time. David's oldest daughter, Kelsey (14), still refuses to see him during his visitation time, although Kallie (11) is happy to be with him. Please pray for a breakthrough for David and the girls, and that I would be able to see them, as well. Blessings, Helen
David in the bible had a long and discouraging road too. He fought and killed a bear and lion, fought Goliath, killed him and chopped off his head and then Saul got jealous and sought to kill him. David began running for his life. He lived in a cave with a band of ragmuffins and then they got disgusted with him and wanted to kill him too. But there was something David had that no one could take away from him. He had been anointed king of israel and it had not come to pass. He realized that no harm could come to him because his destiny had not been fulfilled.
Just like king David, your David has a destiny and his identity lies in how God views him. You didn't name him David without the prompting of Holy Spirit, so know that David has a calling on his life. Your son, he is blessed. The enemy rejoices when we place our focus on the situation instead of God. What one way to sit high and lifted up on his 'own' throne is when the people of God become afraid, anxious, worried, stressed, depressed, discouraged, from strongholds that need to be broken in the name of Jesus.
I encourage you, mother of David, to begin to war by worshipping and giving thanks for the God who has abundantly blessed your family. This in itself, declares that your trust is in God and Him alone and knocks satan down to the dust where he belongs. Listen, "THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!" This situation did not take God by surprise and in fact, has the solution, but when we allow what we see and hear to rule our emotions, we falter and stumble, wondering where God is. God is there. Right there with you, now.
Begin to take authority over the situation. Command division and strife to shut it's mouth. Bind it up and then tell it to go! Then begin to declare and decree those things that be not as though they were. Begin to bless the ex-wife and bless the situation. Scripture says to bless our enemies, bless and curse not. Begin to thank the Lord for His ability to turn the situation around for His glory. Does he want his family back as a unit? If his ex is not remarried I would be willing to stand with you on that. It is never God's desire for families to be broken up. That is satan who comes to steal,kill and destroy.
Father, thank you for moving in this situation and in the lives of each family member. In the name of Jesus, I command a blessing of restoration, reconciliation, redemption to come upon each relationship in this, father to daughter, daughter to father, mother to daughter in law, daughter in law to mother in law, and every other member of this family. in the name of Jesus, I loose, crush, smash and destroy every evil device that has been used to separate these family members. I loose, crush and destroy wrong mindsets, wrong behaviors, wrong desires, wrong attitutdes, wrong beliefs, wrong thoughts, speculations and their strongholds of unhealed hurts, unmet needs and unresolved issues. I bind each member of this family to truth and to the blood of Jesus and to Holy Spirit who bring balance to raggedy emotions. I bind each one to the mind of Christ and to the love of God and the shalom of God that passes all understanding.
In Jesus name, I loose, crush and destroy, every word curse, every word that confessed depression, negativity of any kind, spoken by family members and friends and strangers at any point in their life and I speak LIFE LIFE LIFE!
Father, have mercy on each one.
Give Helen words of wisdom, words of LIGHT that will begin to pierce the darkness that has been sitting on the mind of David. Let her words strike the mark and break apart every lie and deception of the enemy as she worships and praise you. Your words speak life and health to all their flesh.
Thank you for restoring and redeeming what the enemy wanted to destroy. Glory be to God, we rejoice in you!
