Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your precious cat. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during this heartbreaking time. We have been lifting you and your sweet companion before the Lord and we continue to remember her before His throne of grace.
We have been praying that God in His mercy would completely heal her and grant her a full recovery, even though the doctors have said there is a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs that could be chronic bronchitis or asthma or cancer with no treatment except medication to make her comfortable. We know that God is the only One who can help her now and nothing is impossible for Him. We have asked Him to take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in and to give her comfort and peace.
We have also prayed that the Lord would help her to start eating normal food and drinking water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to help her breathing. We have prayed especially for her purring and coughing, that God would ease the cough that is triggered when she purrs, since she was the most affectionate cat and now seems so sad that she cannot receive affection without coughing, tries to cuddle and then must lay alone and stare. We ask God who cares for every creature, as He says in Matthew 10:29 and Psalm 50:11, to restore her joy and affection and to comfort your hearts as you watch her struggle.
We continue to pray for you as her caretaker, that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her the four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids at least once a week without hurting her or causing distress. We pray that He would guide you in all the difficult decisions regarding her care and give you peace and clarity.
We have also lifted up your prayer that when her time comes, God would show her mercy and take her peacefully in her sleep, and that if she does need to be helped to pass, the Lord would provide someone who can come to your house, since she is so terrified of driving and the vet and you do not want her last moments to be alone and afraid and shaking and crying in an unfamiliar place. We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and we pray that God would hear and answer all of your desperate cries and pleas, for He is close to the brokenhearted as it says in Psalm 34:18.
We pray together now, Father we lift up this beloved cat to You and ask for Your healing touch, for comfort from pain, for restored appetite and water intake, for normal bodily functions, for clear and easy breathing, and for purring without coughing so she can again enjoy affection. Give wisdom and steady hands to her owner for every medication and treatment and for every decision ahead, and in Your great mercy grant a peaceful passing according to Your will and provide help at home if it is needed. We ask all of these things in Jesus name, Amen.
