Urgent prayers for my cat ###

Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We hear your heartache and desperation, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ intercedes for us. Your love for your beloved cat is evident, and we recognize the deep bond you share. While animals are not eternal beings like humans, created in God’s image, they are part of His creation, and He cares for them. The Bible tells us in Psalm 50:10-11, "For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine." Our God is a God of compassion, and He sees your tears and hears your cries.

We lift up your dear cat to the Lord, asking for His mercy and healing. We pray that if it is His will, He would completely heal her brain tumor and the masses on her lungs, restoring her to full health. We ask that He ease her pain and discomfort, soothing her breathing and allowing her to eat, drink, and have regular bowel movements without distress. Lord, we pray that You would touch her body with Your healing hand, calming her cough and allowing her to purr and receive affection without discomfort. May she find peace and comfort in Your presence, even in this difficult time.

We also pray for you, dear one, as you care for her with such love and devotion. May the Lord guide your hands as you administer her medication and treatments, giving you wisdom, gentleness, and strength. We ask that He grant you discernment in all decisions regarding her care, and that He would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your home if the time comes for her to pass. We pray that when that moment arrives, she would slip away peacefully in her sleep, without fear or suffering, surrounded by your love.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Trust in Him, for He is faithful and just, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, bringing comfort, healing, and peace. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this dear sister in her faith, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of this trial. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Lean on Him for strength and wisdom, and remember that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this, and we stand with you in prayer and support. If the Lord chooses to take her home, may He comfort you with the hope of seeing her again in the new heavens and new earth, where there will be no more pain or suffering (Revelation 21:4). Until then, we pray for His mercy and healing.

It’s clear how much means to you, and we hurt with you as you watch her struggle. The love you share is real and precious, and the helplessness you feel is heavy. When a beloved companion is seriously ill, the sheer weight of caregiving, the medications, the worry, the grief that keeps showing up, can feel crushing. You’re not failing her by feeling exhausted and heartbroken.

A practical step we’d encourage is to start looking now for a veterinarian who can come to your home when the time is right. Your refusal to let her final moments be filled with fear is deeply loving. Many mobile vets provide exactly this service. Ask your regular vet for a recommendation or search for “home euthanasia” in your area. Having that plan in place can lift some of the dread off your shoulders, so you can focus on each present moment with her instead of what might happen. You don’t have to figure it all out in an emergency.

In the meantime, we join you in asking for ’s comfort and for your own tender strength.

Lord Jesus, we bring before You. Ease her pain and any fear she feels. Settle her body so she can eat, drink, and rest without constant struggle. Guide this owner’s hands as they give every treatment, and grant them a steady peace, even in hard decisions. When the time comes, we ask for a quiet, gentle passing at home, surrounded by the love she has always known. Until then, hold this household in Your mercy. Amen.

The cry of your heart is heard in the courts of heaven, for the Lord is not unmindful of the sighing of His creatures. His mercy endures forever, and He stoops to behold the things that are lowly, even the afflictions of a dumb animal that has brought you such love. In this furnace of anxiety, you are driven to prayer, and that is well, for prayer clears the sky; it is the heaven climber that brings mercy down. The power of the Lord to heal has not diminished, and if it be His will, He can touch this little sufferer and make her whole. Lay all your desperate pleas at the mercy seat. He cares for the soul of the prayer, not the grammar of it, and a heart groaning out its need touches Him.

I must also speak a word of comfort to your own heavy spirit. You are called to a hard service of love, pilling her mouth, administering the inhaler, piercing the flesh with the needle for the fluids. Yet know this, that the Lord can guide your hands and grant you a gentleness that does not cause distress. He can make even these difficult tasks a means of grace to you. Be not overwhelmed with fear for the morrow. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof, and sufficient is His grace for the moment.

Should it come to pass that her appointed time is near, and God sees fit to take her to Himself, trust Him for a quiet departure. The same Lord who numbers the hairs of your head marks every sparrow that falls. He can send a merciful hand to ease her pain at home, so that her last breath might be in the place she knows, with those she loved. Do not fear that her terror will go unheeded; He is very pitiful and of tender mercy.

And yet, I would have you lift your eyes from this present sorrow for a moment. All sickness, whether of beast or man, is a shadow of that deeper malady of sin that afflicts every soul. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations; Christ Jesus came to heal the sin sick. Even as you plead for your beloved , let your own soul cry out, "God be merciful to me a sinner," and you shall find that the inhabitant of Zion shall not say, "I am sick," for his iniquity is forgiven. The great Physician who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows is able to do for you and your household far more abundantly than you ask or think.

I join my prayers with yours, asking that either healing may come to , or that she may be taken in her sleep when the hour strikes, and that your hearts may be upheld by the everlasting arms. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The grief you pour out over this creature is unmistakable, and God does not despise a broken heart. Yet I must speak plainly: the comfort you seek will not be found by clinging to a perishable thing. When Paul had no relief for his spirit because he found not Titus his brother, he did not sink into despair; he pressed on, knowing his true consolation lay not in any human presence but in the God who raises the dead. How much more must we hold loosely to a beast of the field, which has no portion in the resurrection? For only they who are in Christ shall rise in glory; all else returns to dust.

That you dread her suffering is no small thing. Our Lord gives us compassion even for brute creatures, and to ease pain is a work of mercy. But let this anguish drive you to a greater fear: what of your own soul? You say, “she is our world.” There is the snare. God is a jealous lover; He will not abide an idol in the heart. This bitter cup can be a medicine if you let it turn you from earthly affections to the things above. When the disciples were troubled for the whole world, it was a holy pain born of charity for immortal souls. Here is but a cat, incapable of sin or virtue, whose passing is appointed by the same hand that feeds the sparrows. Seek first the kingdom, and trust His wisdom in all else.

Do not mistake me. I do not forbid you to ask for mercy in her hour. But let your prayer be this: “Lord, Thou givest and Thou takest away; blessed be Thy name. Give me strength to care for this creature without rebellion, and when her breath ceases, let not my faith fail.” That is the comfort of a pure conscience, which even under countless horrors can say, “Not for evil-doing, but for what is well-pleasing to God.” As for a peaceful end at home, it is a tender desire; yet even if it must be otherwise, God can give you grace to bear it. The delay of sorrow is no true comfort unless we use it for amendment of life. This trial is a stroke that can brace up your soul and give wings to your thoughts, if you will receive it as from a Father’s hand.

You ask for healing. God can do all things. But if He does not, will you still love Him? The crowds who sought Jesus for loaves and fish were rebuked; they wanted the gift, not the Giver. Let this ordeal teach you to sell all earthly hopes for that true treasure which neither moth nor rust corrupts. In heaven there is no weeping, no parting, no tumor or lesion. There the faithful shall be ever with the Lord, caught up in clouds. Fix your eyes there. Weep for your sins, pray for your enemies, comfort the poor who have no advocate. Then, whether this little creature lives or dies, you will possess a joy no suffering can steal. That is the comfort I commend to you, the only one that outlasts the grave.

I have read the whole request, and I do not think you are being dramatic or foolish for loving this cat so deeply. The weight you are carrying is real, and the fear in your words is plain. God is not far from that kind of grief.

He does not need you to explain the situation to Him. He already knows the tumor, the lesions on her lungs, the medications, the coughing, the way she pulls back from affection because purring now brings pain. What He asks is for you to bring all of it to Him with open hands. Prayer is not about getting your own will done on earth. It is about yielding to His will while still asking boldly for what you long for. The prayer of faith is real. The sick are meant to be surrounded by prayer, and the Lord is able to heal and raise up. So do not stop asking for her complete recovery. But while you ask, let your deepest prayer be the one Jesus prayed: not my will, but yours be done. That is not unbelief. It is the place where God can work freely without you having to manage the outcome.

I join you in asking God to take away her pain and discomfort, to restore her appetite and thirst, to settle her breathing so she can purr without coughing, and to let her rest without distress. I also ask that He would guide your hands so that the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids do not become a source of fear for her. Ask Him to give you calm and steady gentleness, because He knows you love her and do not want to add to her suffering. He who watches the falling of a small bird sees this little creature too. He made her, and He is not indifferent to her fear or to yours.

When the time comes, and only God knows when that will be, it is not wrong to pray that He would show her mercy and let her go quietly in her sleep, at home, without terror. Ask for wisdom about every decision, including whether and how to seek help in your own house. I will not pretend to know what is best, but I see that you are trying to be merciful, not cruel. Bring that desire to God and trust Him to lead you.

When the words fail and the grief is too heavy, remember that the Spirit prays for you with groanings too deep for words. You do not need perfect prayers. Bring the tears, the exhaustion, the fear. He hears. And do not let anyone heap guilt on you for asking or for hurting. Your love for this small animal is part of caring for the good creation God placed in your hands. Grief is not a lack of faith. Even in suffering, God is near, and He does not turn away from those who cry out to Him.

I am praying with you for her comfort, for your courage, and for God's will to be done in her body and in your home. May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind.
