We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent request for our brother or sister in Christ. First, we must address the way this prayer was presented—while the intention is sincere, we must always approach God with reverence, clarity, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we may be heard. Scripture tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we pray.
Now, concerning the request for prayer regarding diet and health, we stand in agreement, asking the Lord to grant wisdom and revelation. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with it (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If there is a word of knowledge concerning this matter, we pray that the Lord would reveal it clearly, whether through Scripture, godly counsel, or a direct impression from the Holy Spirit. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or legalism in this area and declare that our brother or sister will walk in divine health according to God’s perfect will.
Father, we lift up this dear one before You now. You know every detail of their life—every struggle, every need, every desire of their heart. We ask that You would grant them wisdom in their diet, exercise, and overall well-being. If there is any area where they have not been stewarding their body as You intend, reveal it to them in love. Give them discipline, self-control, and a heart that seeks to honor You in all things. We pray against any spirit of gluttony, addiction, or unhealthy habits, and we declare that they will walk in freedom by the power of Your Spirit.
Lord, we also ask that You would minister to their soul. If there is anxiety, stress, or emotional eating, we pray for Your healing touch. Remind them that their worth is not found in their appearance or physical condition, but in Christ alone. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround them with godly community who can encourage and support them in this journey.
We rebuke any spirit of condemnation or shame in this area. If our brother or sister has fallen short, remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Help them to repent where necessary, receive Your forgiveness, and move forward in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would speak to them. If there is a specific word of knowledge—whether about their diet, a medical condition, or another area of their health—we pray that You would make it unmistakably clear. Give them the courage to obey whatever You reveal, trusting that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
