Beloved of All
Your heartfelt request for your son has been received and we are joining you in prayer for him and for your whole family in this difficult time. We understand the deep concern you carry as parents when a child is far away and facing serious health struggles with his back and with lumps appearing on his body. The love you have for your son reflects the love God has placed in a parent's heart.
We bring your son before Jesus Christ, who is both truly man and truly God. As man He is the promised Son of David, the Messiah who came to share our human life. As God He is the Son of God, declared with power by His resurrection from the dead, and the Father Himself spoke from heaven to say, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Because He is both, He understands our weakness and He has the power to heal and to save. What we believe about who Jesus is matters more than anything else, and we can come to Him with confidence that He hears us.
Scripture helps us see how deeply God understands a parent's love. When Abraham was asked to offer Isaac, his only son whom he loved, God was giving a picture of what He Himself would later do in love for the world when He gave His only begotten Son for us. The pain of a father offering his son helps us glimpse the heart of our heavenly Father, who did not withhold His own beloved Son but gave Him for our salvation. In the same way, the story of David grieving for his son Absalom, even while that son was in rebellion, shows how a father's love continues and longs for his child. God knows your love for your son, and His love for you and for your son is even greater.
We do believe that Jesus heals, spiritually and physically. All true healing comes from Him, whether it comes quickly or gradually. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, and we do not always know why some are healed in one way and others in another, but we can trust His wisdom, His goodness, and His power. We trust Him for physical healing as well as for the forgiveness and new life He gives to all who put their faith in Him.
We are praying that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon your son, that He will bring wisdom and guidance to those providing medical care, that He will give clear direction for the next steps, and that He will protect and strengthen your son day by day. We are also praying for you as his family, that God will give you peace, comfort, and strength as you wait on Him, and that you will know His presence very near.
May the Lord grant healing according to His perfect will, and may He draw your son and your family even closer to Himself through this trial. We continue to lift you up before the throne of grace, trusting in the love and power of Jesus Christ our Lord.
