We stand with you in deep concern and sorrow over the violence and injustice inflicted upon these students in India. Our hearts ache as we see the innocent suffer, and we join you in lifting this situation before the throne of God, who is the ultimate Judge and the One who executes justice for the oppressed.

First, we must acknowledge that all authority is established by God (Romans 13:1), but when those in power act unjustly, we are called to pray for wisdom, righteousness, and divine intervention. The Lord hears the cries of the afflicted and will not ignore their suffering. Psalm 10:17-18 declares, "Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more."

We also recognize that peace does not come through human efforts alone but through the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. True justice flows from His righteousness, and we must seek Him above all else. We rebuke the spirit of violence and oppression in the name of Jesus and declare that God’s justice will prevail. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the nation of India and the students who have suffered injustice. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them, shield them from further harm and surround them with Your angels. We pray for justice to be served, that the oppressors would be held accountable, and that righteousness would prevail in the land. Father, we ask that You soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may govern with wisdom, compassion, and fairness. Remove any leaders who perpetuate violence and corruption, and raise up godly men and women who will lead with integrity.

Lord, we declare peace over India. Let Your Spirit move across the nation, bringing healing, reconciliation, and unity. May the love of Christ break down walls of division and hatred. We pray for the families affected by this violence, comfort them, strengthen them, and fill them with hope. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your name be glorified even in the midst of this trial.

We also pray for the church in India, that believers would rise up in boldness, speaking truth and standing for justice while demonstrating Christ’s love. May the gospel spread powerfully, transforming hearts and bringing true change. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who reigns forever and whose kingdom is one of justice and peace. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in this situation. Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is faithful. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing on His promises. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). May He bring about a mighty work in India for His glory.

We hear the anguish in your words, and our hearts are with you. The sight of innocent students being met with violence instead of justice is gut-wrenching. It is right to cry out for protection and for peace to return, that deep sorrow you feel echoes God’s own heart for the oppressed.

There is a truth that has steadied many in such times: throughout Scripture, God’s people are called to be a prophetic voice against evil. Not necessarily in grand political pronouncements, but in the everyday compassion that says “this is not the way it is supposed to be” and then works for good. Your prayer itself is that kind of voice, and your own heartbreak shows you are close to what moves God’s own heart. In the long, patient work of seeking justice, we are not alone, the Spirit is with us, and the global Church stands with you.

Perhaps you could gather with a few others from your church or prayer circle to pray specifically for the students and their families, asking God for wisdom about how to support them in practical, safe ways. Even small acts of care can be a powerful sign of hope in a dark moment.

We hold you, your nation’s children, and all who are suffering before our Father now.

Lord Jesus, in this painful hour, we ask You to stretch out Your hand over India. Shield the students who have been hurt, and bring swift justice for those who have done wrong. Give courage and comfort to families who are afraid. Raise up leaders willing to serve with integrity, and open a path toward the peace and harmony only You can fully bring. In Your name we pray, amen.

The God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace in believing, even in this hour of great trial. The mind stayed on Him is kept in perfect peace, for it trusts in Him. The uproar of nations and the violence of the wicked cannot shake the soul that rests quietly upon the bosom of the Lord, like a weaned child. Yet this weaning comes not without a struggle, for the natural heart cries out for justice, and rightly so. We see the suffering of the innocent, and we are troubled. But let not your confidence be in your peace, nor in your grief, but in Christ alone. He has vanquished every foe, and the last enemy shall be destroyed.

There is a peace which the world cannot give, and which no government can grant, a peace whispered within by the blood of Jesus. That peace is your portion, even when the shadows of death seem to hover near. The promise stands sure: He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways, in your going out and your coming in, in the hour of protest and in the silence of the night. But remember, this keeping is for those who walk in His ways, not in the path of human wrath or unbelief. Trust in the Lord with childlike faith, and He will make even this darkness a pavement for His light.

Let your soul become as a weaned child, quiet from fretting, content in the Father’s bosom. The present evil may seem to triumph, but the Lord sees all, and His justice slumbers not. Every convinced sinner knows the weight of His righteous law, and no mouth will dare rail at His judgments in that day. For the believer, even the sentence of death within works for good, leading to a peace that passes understanding. So go in peace, not as one who ignores the cry of the oppressed, but as one who knows that Jesus has preached peace by His cross, reconciling all things to Himself. Do the will of Jesus in this dark hour, pray, weep with those who weep, but let your heart be stayed on Him. That is rest.

You see the cruelty of the powerful and the suffering of the innocent, and your heart cries out for justice. This is right. Yet take care that your prayer does not become a curse in disguise. It is one thing to ask God to halt the hand of the violent; it is another to demand He remove a government, for you do not know what rising up would follow. The prophet Daniel, thrown among lions by a ruler’s decree, did not pray for the overthrow of Darius but trusted himself to the Living God, and the mouths of the lions were stopped. When the three children stood in the furnace, they asked no vengeful miracle against Nebuchadnezzar; they believed that even in the flames nothing adverse could befall them, for all things are ordered by God’s hand. Do you have that faith? Lamentation that seeks only earthly rescue is often born not of love but of weak trust.

Do not let the injustice you witness become an occasion for hatred. If we examine absolute justice, we all deserve to perish at once for our sins. But God mingles mercy with judgment, teaching us to show great consideration even while we suffer wrong. Consider how Christ wept over Jerusalem, though she slaughtered the prophets. He did not call down fire, but stretched out His arms like a hen gathering her chicks, longing to shelter them under His wings. This is the divine pattern: not retaliation, but a warmth of love that surpasses all human fury. Pray, then, for the men who strike the children. Pray that their hearts be softened, that they see the image of God in those they beat. This is the true violence that seizes the kingdom of heaven, a holy force that overcomes evil with good.

You speak of the children. Good. Then bring them up not in bitterness against any government, but in the fear of God. That fear is a wall no riot shield can breach. A father’s politics will fail them; the memory of their mother’s prayers and the almsgiving of their household will guard them long after you are gone. Do not let your table be filled with those who only echo your anger. Let the poor sit there, the stranger, the wounded student. Send them to the prison to comfort the beaten; clothe the naked and track out the forgotten. In this spiritual traffic you will store up treasure that no police raid can steal.

When you see the powerful grasping, remember: theft is not measured by the size of what is taken, but by the intention. A man who deducts a few coins from a market vendor is no less a robber than the emperor who seizes provinces. Pray that all, high and low, repent of covetousness and violence. Pray that the Church in India be a house of refuge, ruled by shepherds who seek not power but the care of souls. Do not let the children become an excuse for grasping after worldly solutions, as if God gave them to you so you might tear down a regime. He gave them that you might teach them virtue.

So pray, yes, but with open hands. Ask for protection, for healing, for the groaning creation to know the peace of Christ. Ask that justice flow like a river. But do not dictate to the Judge how He must accomplish it. His justice, like His mercy, is deeper than any political program. In the end, every earthly power will be burned up before the face of Him who sits on the throne. Stand watchful, armed with alms and sober prayer, so that when He comes you may be found not nursing a partisan wound, but sheltering the wounded under the wings of the same hen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
