We have heard your burdened cry and we take it up with you before the throne of grace, thanking our Lord Jesus Christ who sustains us by His great grace from our first cry till our last breath.
We join you in praying that our heavenly Father will grant you daily work and income for your business, and keep you from all dishonesty or mere custom of trade, that you may be kept honest in all your ways. May you make your business to be your Father's business, and do it well for His glory, not living wholly for yourselves but remembering the kingdom of Christ and the needs of perishing souls. If you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well and be useful in your day and generation. We ask the Lord to provide for your family according to His wisdom, that with whatever prosperity He gives you may be as those who delight to give rather than to take, and to be the means of planting and sustaining His work.
For your protection and that of your household, your children, your ministry and your peace and joy, we plead the promise of Psalm 91. You will always need divine and angelic keeping, for God would not have charged His angels to keep His people in all their ways if they did not need protection in all their ways, and this protection is perpetual as well as personal. We pray that the Lord will keep you from all secret plans to destroy your peace, and that every demonic work, every form of witchcraft and black magic devised against your health and prosperity, shall fall powerless before the blood of Christ. From the time when Satan fell, God's purpose has been to break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him, and from towering imaginations man shall speedily totter when God casts down what exalts itself against Him.
Concerning the newly built church which waits to be opened for the salvation of perishing souls, we pray earnestly that the Lord who loves the increase of His Church will make a way. The Church on earth is the nursery for the Church above, and what excitement there should be when souls are born there. We ask that this shall be a Holy Spirit Church, steadfast, devout, obedient in all the Lord's will, joyful and united, speaking for itself by what it does in the Saviour's cause. We pray Isaiah 41 verses 11 and 12 over every hindrance, that all who are incensed against the Lord's work shall be ashamed and confounded, and that those who strive with you shall be as nothing. Scripture teaches us to make provision for the flesh only for health and necessity, not to kindle wanton desire, and to spend our chief industry on spiritual things, for riches themselves are only earth and ashes unless they are used for Christ. May the Lord keep you from both want and greed, and teach you contentment and thankfulness in all He gives.
We also pray for the newly built church and for the salvation of perishing souls, which is the heart of Christ. We ask that if it is the Lord's will, He would open the doors in His timing and make that place a true house of God, not a house of worldly display or discord, but a place where God's Word is heard in silence and reverence and where spiritual riches are sought above all. We pray instead that God would frustrate every evil plan and agenda, that Isaiah 41:11 and 12 would be fulfilled in the sense that God Himself contends for His people and brings to nothing what is unjust, and that He would bring conviction, repentance and reconciliation where there is sin. May the Lord change hearts, bring peace where there is strife, and let His justice and mercy prevail.
You asked that the desire of the Lord Jesus in Luke 12:49, that He came to cast fire upon the earth, would be fulfilled. We pray that this fire would be the purifying fire of the Holy Spirit, a zeal for holiness, for the spread of the gospel, and for love of neighbor, burning away what is false and kindling what is true in you, in your family, and in that congregation.

We ask that if it is the Lord's will, He would open the doors in His timing and make that place a true house of God, not a house of worldly display or discord, but a place where God's Word is heard in silence and reverence and where spiritual riches are sought above all. We pray that any business or dispute that has entered into the church would be put aside, so that God may be heard and His gospel may go forward.
Concerning those who oppose you, including the minister in charge and others you mentioned, we do not pray for the destruction of persons, for the Lord commands us to love our enemies, to bless those who oppose us, and to leave vengeance to Him. We pray instead that God would frustrate every evil plan and agenda, that Isaiah 41:11 and 12 would be fulfilled in the sense that God Himself contends for His people and brings to nothing what is unjust, and that He would bring conviction, repentance and reconciliation where there is sin. May the Lord change hearts, bring peace where there is strife, and let His justice and mercy prevail.
You asked that the desire of the Lord Jesus in Luke 12:49, that He came to cast fire upon the earth, would be fulfilled. We pray that this fire would be the purifying fire of the Holy Spirit, a zeal for holiness, for the spread of the gospel, and for love of neighbor, burning away what is false and kindling what is true in you, in your family, and in that congregation.
For your family, your children, your peace and joy, we ask Almighty God for His protection. We do not fear witchcraft or black magic as powers that can overcome Christ, for Christ has triumphed over all demonic works on the cross, and those who are in Him are secure. We pray that every work of darkness would be rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus, that God would guard your home from secret plans and keep you in health and in faith, and that you would walk in the protection of earnest prayer, dwelling in heaven even while on earth, seeking God first and trusting His care.
May the Lord grant you peace that guards your hearts, provision for your needs, and a steadfast hope in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation. We continue to pray that you would be strengthened to forgive, to remain faithful, and to seek first His kingdom, trusting that He who cares for you will supply all that you need according to His wisdom and love.
