Urgent Prayer Request- Deathly Ill

Eroymar

Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I would greatly appreciate your prayers- I have a brain disease called schizophrenia and I am on some medication for it that helps me alot, however it has stopped working. I am DEATHLY ill without it, I am in off the charts pain. I have discovered something that miraculously eliminates the pain, St John's Wort. However it interacts with my medication, makes your blood levels go down. Yesterday morning I was so ill, in so much pain I had to take a st john's wort anyway. It eliminated the pain for about 12 hours but now it has caused my medication levels to go way down and now I am so sick it is beyond comprehension, I feel like I might have to go to the ER but they can't help me there, my medication is restricted and it can only be obtained through my doctor and she will not give me any. St John's Wort stays in your system for like 3-4 days. I need a miracle now that the St Johns Wort is flushed out of my system and that my medication starts working again, please pray for a miracle! Thank you!

We have heard your urgent cry and we are lifting you up together before the Lord right now in this time of overwhelming pain and sickness. We are so sorry for the terrible suffering you are enduring with schizophrenia and with the distress that your medication is not working as it should. We understand you found temporary relief with St John's Wort but are now experiencing a severe interaction that has made you feel deathly ill, and we are praying earnestly for God's mercy and healing over your body and mind.

We want to encourage you with the truth that God sees your affliction and He cares deeply for you. He is close to those who are suffering and He hears our prayers. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We want to speak to you in love and with concern about the medical situation you described. St John's Wort is known to interact seriously with many psychiatric medications by lowering blood levels, and what you are experiencing sounds medically urgent. We are not medical professionals and we cannot give medical advice, but we strongly urge you to seek help immediately from your prescribing doctor, your pharmacist, or emergency medical care if you feel deathly ill, even if you fear they cannot help. Please be fully honest with them about exactly what you have taken and when, so they can help you safely. If you feel you need to go to the emergency room, please go and do not delay, and please reach out to a trusted family member, friend, or pastor to stay with you and help you advocate for care. God often works through the wisdom He has given to doctors and medical providers, and James 5:14-15 encourages us to call for help and prayer in times of sickness, Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We pray God will give your doctor wisdom and compassion to help you quickly and to guide you to a safe and effective treatment plan, and we urge you not to make further changes to medication or supplements without direct medical supervision.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share gently that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation and for help in every need. Romans 10:13 says For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We are praying together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who is in such severe pain and illness. Lord, You know the agony, the fear, and the exhaustion being endured. We ask for Your mercy and for a miracle of healing. We pray that You would comfort and sustain this person, that You would calm the terrible pain, that You would allow the St John's Wort to clear safely from the system without further harm, and that the prescribed medication would return to a safe and effective level in the blood and begin to work again as it should. Lord, we pray for restoration of health to mind and body, for protection from any dangerous effects of this interaction, and for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray You would guide the hands and minds of the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, give them wisdom, understanding, and compassion to provide the right care without delay, and open the way for the needed medication to be provided. We pray You would surround this precious person with supportive people who will stay close, advocate, and encourage. Above all we pray they would feel Your nearness, know Your love, and put their full hope in Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Healer. We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We are continuing to pray for you, for relief from pain, for the medication to work again, for wisdom for your doctor, and for God's peace and presence to uphold you through each hour. Please seek medical help right away and let someone near you know how ill you are feeling so you are not alone.

Thank you for sharing so openly about the pain and fear you are carrying right now. We hear how exhausting this has been, trying to get relief while also trying to stay steady on the medication your doctor prescribed, and feeling caught in between.

We are praying for you, and we also want to encourage you to get medical help quickly alongside prayer. Because you are in such severe distress and there is a known interaction between St John's Wort and your prescription, please reach out today to your prescribing doctor and your pharmacist to let them know exactly what you took, when, and what you are feeling now. If the pain feels unbearable or you feel unsafe, please go to the ER or urgent care and bring your medication bottles and a list of anything else you have taken, and if possible have a trusted family member or friend stay with you and help communicate with the team. Even if they cannot dispense your regular medication there, they can assess you and help coordinate with your doctor.

You do not have to carry this alone. If you have someone nearby you trust, let them know you need support right now.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the pain and the fear and the weariness. Please bring comfort, steady help from caring clinicians, wisdom for next steps, and Your peace that guards heart and mind. Give strength for today and clear guidance for the days ahead. Amen.

Thank you Father God for your love and your compassion in helping her feel better come to you find peace grace and mercy coming to you prayer worship scriptures. Lord Yeshuas name. Yes mental illness can be painful. Confusing. Hard. And scary. Gods love is so amazing to find hope in you Father abd to pray to you. To cling to you. To be close to you. My comfort and hope is you. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

Your cry in this hour of deep bodily affliction has been heard among the people of God, and we have carried it with heaviness of heart to the throne of grace.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Your pain which you describe as beyond comprehension is not hidden from Him who is the feeder of sparrows and who will also furnish you with what you need. He sees the sickness that wears the frame and the distress that wearies the spirit, and He is able to heal.

You have sought relief where you could find it, and now you fear the interaction of remedies and the lowering of that medicine upon which your steadiness depends. We entreat you, even as we pray, to seek help without delay from those appointed to care for the body. If you feel you must go to the place of emergency care, go, though you fear they cannot supply the restricted medicine. Let them see your condition, let them contact your doctor on your behalf, let no modesty or fear keep you from seeking the physician while we seek the Great Physician. Speak plainly to your doctor of all you have taken and of the pain you endure, for the Lord often works His healing by the hands of those to whom He has given skill.

We have prayed for the miracle you have asked, that the substance which now troubles your blood may be speedily flushed from your system, and that your prescribed medicine may again have its proper power to steady and to relieve you. We have asked the Lord to give you rest from this off the charts pain and to bring you out of this present peril.

Know this, that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and He is able to heal the body and to forgive the soul in one blessed visitation.

Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy. There was a contact established when He took her by the hand and lifted her up, and there is healing in that touch still. His experience is not so much pain as something worse than pain, an utter absence of rest, and He knows the feverish unrest of those under affliction. He is able to heal, and He is present to heal when His Word is taught and trusted, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord Jesus would lay His hand upon you and lift you up. We ask Him to cleanse your blood of what now harms it, to cause your medicine to work again for your good, to take away this deathly pain and to give you quietness of mind and body. We ask Him to heal you and to forgive you, to give you pardon through His blood and healing through His wounds, for by His stripes we are healed. We ask Him to keep you in this trial, to give wisdom to your doctors, to give you help in the very moment of need, and to make you to know that you are not forgotten.

Cast yourself wholly upon Him who bore our sicknesses. Welcome pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. He has begun to heal many and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. Look to Him now, not to a leaf or a herb alone, but to the Tree of Life itself, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

We will continue to pray for you, that in these next days the Lord will show you mercy, relieve your suffering, restore the usefulness of your medicine under your doctor's care, and give you peace in Him.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you in this dark valley, and may He raise you up to serve Him in renewed strength. Amen.
