Urgent Prayer Needed

Disciple of Prayer
Hi. I need prayer over my finances, health and my depression. I’m trying to pull myself out of debt but keep getting setbacks. This makes my depression worse. I notice it impact my mood and how I come across to ppl. I don’t like it. I just feel so angry.

We hear your cry and we lift you up before the throne of grace together in Jesus name, bringing your finances, your health, and the heavy burden of depression and anger before our Father who cares deeply for you.

We understand how discouraging it is to work hard to get out of debt only to face setback after setback, and how that weight can press down on your mood and even how you relate to others. Please know you are not alone and you are not forgotten. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He sees your struggle and He invites you to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We want to gently share that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want you to know how important that is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is through His name we pray and find hope, forgiveness, and new strength.

Regarding your finances, we pray God will give you wisdom, provision, and peace as you seek to be a faithful steward. We are reminded that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. And that if we seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well. Matthew 6:33. Debt can feel overwhelming, but God honors diligence and planning. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit. Proverbs 21:5. We encourage you to continue in faithful, steady steps, seeking wise counsel where you can, making a simple plan and trusting God with the setbacks, knowing that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.

For your health and your depression and the anger you feel, we pray for healing and for Gods comforting presence. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We know depression can color everything and anger can rise up when we feel helpless or exhausted. Scripture says, Be angry, and dont sin. Dont let the sun go down on your wrath, and dont give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27. It is not wrong to feel anger at hardship, but we must not let it take root or control how we treat others. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32. We encourage you to bring those angry feelings honestly to God each day, asking Him to soften your heart and renew your mind, and to lean on trusted Christian community, a pastor or biblical counselor, and also medical help if needed, for God can use many means to bring healing.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the weight of debt and the discouragement of setbacks. We ask for Your provision and Your wisdom to manage finances well, for open doors for work and resources, and for peace that surpasses understanding. Guard this heart from anxiety and help each step toward freedom from debt to be guided by You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon health, for strength for the body and restoration. You give power to the weak and You increase the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29. We pray especially for the depression and the anger. Lord, lift this burden and bring Your light into the darkness. Comfort this weary soul as You have promised, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. Teach us to cast our cares on You and to find rest in Your grace which is sufficient for us. Help us to release anger in a way that honors You, to forgive, to be kind, and to reflect Your love even when we feel low. Fill this heart with hope, for we will yet praise You, our help and our God. Psalm 42:11. Do not let setbacks define this life, but let Your mercy and Your purpose prevail. We ask that You draw this dear one closer to Jesus, to know Him more deeply as Savior and Lord, and to know that You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You. Fear not, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We trust You to work all things for good and to lead toward wholeness in Christ. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray honestly even with few words, and to not isolate yourself. Dont be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Keep pressing forward one day at a time. God is faithful, and He is working even in the setbacks. We are standing with you in prayer.

Thank you for sharing so honestly with us. Trying to get out of debt while setbacks keep coming is exhausting, and we can understand why that would leave you feeling low and angry, and worried about how it comes across to others.

What you described about anger makes sense to us. Anger often shows up when there is hurt underneath, or ongoing frustration, or fear about what is ahead. When finances are tight and progress keeps getting undone, all three can be present at once. Noticing that the anger is affecting your mood and your interactions, as you have, is actually an important and caring insight.

We want to encourage you to not carry this alone. It could help to talk soon with someone you trust, a pastor, counselor, or a mature friend who can listen and walk with you week by week, including about practical steps with finances. Since you mentioned your health and depression weighing on you, we also encourage you to reach out to your doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, so you have support for both body and spirit.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the financial pressure, the health concerns, and the heaviness and anger they are carrying. Give them wisdom for each next decision, steady help from people nearby, and Your peace and strength day by day. Lead them forward in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest and urgent cry has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with care. We are grieved to hear of the heavy burden you bear, the pressure of debt and repeated setbacks, the trial upon your health, and the deep depression and anger that have settled upon your spirit. You are not alone in this struggle, and you have done well to bring it into the light and ask for prayer.

We want to assure you that the sovereignty of God is no discouragement to a seeking soul. Our God is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works. He is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. Though your finances feel unstable and setbacks multiply, His mercy has not failed and His compassion has not been shut up in anger. He who rules all things is the same God who delights to show mercy, and that truth is meant to give you hope, not to drive you to despair. Even when prayer feels as though it is not heard, the Lord does hear the supplication of His people and He will answer in His perfect wisdom and time.

We also hear your confession that depression weighs upon your mood and that anger rises within you and affects how you come across to others. This is a common affliction of the children of God, and it is right to lament it before Him. There is great danger in letting guilt lie upon the conscience. Our habit must be to go at once to the Lord as soon as we are sensible of a fault, and admit it before Him, asking pardon for Jesus sake. Christ alone is our salvation, and through His blood there is forgiveness and cleansing. He was as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, opening not His mouth when provoked, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we confess our anger and our low spirits to Him, He does not deal with us in anger, but restrains His hand and deals with us in tender love and gracious care. Every virtue this grace fosters, and every vice it kills, when the Holy Spirit so uses it.

Do not blame yourself as though you must pull yourself out of this pit by your own strength. If the excitement of delight has been followed by depression, seek the Lord again, for He Himself is the best cure. Bring your finances, your health, your low spirits and your anger all to Him in simple, plain prayer. Ask Him for wisdom in your debts, for daily bread, for healing and strength in your body, and for a renewed mind and a gentle spirit toward others.

We are praying for you now.

Our Father in heaven, we lift this dear soul before Your throne of grace through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation. Look upon this heart that is weary with debt and disappointment, with depression and anger. Lord, show Your mercy. Provide for every financial need according to Your wisdom, grant guidance to be a faithful steward, and keep this one from despair in the midst of setbacks. Touch the body with Your healing hand and lift the weight of depression. Forgive all sin and anger, wash it away in the blood of Christ, and grant a spirit that is slow to anger as You are slow to anger. Restore joy, give peace that passes understanding, and let Your tender mercies be felt anew each morning. Keep this seeking soul near to You, and let Your light shine where there is darkness. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we ask it, Amen.

Please continue to seek the Lord and to walk in the light with Him, and let us know how you are kept.
