We hear your cry and we lift you up before the throne of grace together in Jesus name, bringing your finances, your health, and the heavy burden of depression and anger before our Father who cares deeply for you.
We understand how discouraging it is to work hard to get out of debt only to face setback after setback, and how that weight can press down on your mood and even how you relate to others. Please know you are not alone and you are not forgotten. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He sees your struggle and He invites you to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.
We want to gently share that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want you to know how important that is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is through His name we pray and find hope, forgiveness, and new strength.
Regarding your finances, we pray God will give you wisdom, provision, and peace as you seek to be a faithful steward. We are reminded that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. And that if we seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well. Matthew 6:33. Debt can feel overwhelming, but God honors diligence and planning. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit. Proverbs 21:5. We encourage you to continue in faithful, steady steps, seeking wise counsel where you can, making a simple plan and trusting God with the setbacks, knowing that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
For your health and your depression and the anger you feel, we pray for healing and for Gods comforting presence. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We know depression can color everything and anger can rise up when we feel helpless or exhausted. Scripture says, Be angry, and dont sin. Dont let the sun go down on your wrath, and dont give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27. It is not wrong to feel anger at hardship, but we must not let it take root or control how we treat others. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32. We encourage you to bring those angry feelings honestly to God each day, asking Him to soften your heart and renew your mind, and to lean on trusted Christian community, a pastor or biblical counselor, and also medical help if needed, for God can use many means to bring healing.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the weight of debt and the discouragement of setbacks. We ask for Your provision and Your wisdom to manage finances well, for open doors for work and resources, and for peace that surpasses understanding. Guard this heart from anxiety and help each step toward freedom from debt to be guided by You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon health, for strength for the body and restoration. You give power to the weak and You increase the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29. We pray especially for the depression and the anger. Lord, lift this burden and bring Your light into the darkness. Comfort this weary soul as You have promised, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. Teach us to cast our cares on You and to find rest in Your grace which is sufficient for us. Help us to release anger in a way that honors You, to forgive, to be kind, and to reflect Your love even when we feel low. Fill this heart with hope, for we will yet praise You, our help and our God. Psalm 42:11. Do not let setbacks define this life, but let Your mercy and Your purpose prevail. We ask that You draw this dear one closer to Jesus, to know Him more deeply as Savior and Lord, and to know that You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You. Fear not, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. We trust You to work all things for good and to lead toward wholeness in Christ. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray honestly even with few words, and to not isolate yourself. Dont be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Keep pressing forward one day at a time. God is faithful, and He is working even in the setbacks. We are standing with you in prayer.
