Urgent prayer needed for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. We found out yesterday that she has a brain tumor and severe lung problems. I am absolutely and completely devastated and broken. She had such a bad life before us and for her to have this happen is so discouraging and devastating. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort she may be in and won't allow her to suffer. Please pray that I am able to give her all the medication and treatments we have to start doing. I have to start giving her albuterol treatments which requires a mask on her face 3 times a day. I also have to start giving her subcutaneous fluid twice a week which requires me to use a very big needle on her. Please pray that God will help me and guide me and me the strength to do all of these things. I know that all things are possible with God and that he can heal her. Ive always known that she would be gone one day...but for it to be like this is destroying my soul. Please pray that when ###s time comes, God will just take her in her sleep. I don't want her to suffer. She is terrified of driving and the Vet and I cant bear the thought of that being her last moments, terrified at the Vets office being put down. Please pray that God will give us the strength to deal with all of this and please pray that God will heal her brain tumor and her lungs and all that she has wrong. Please pray that God will help her eat and drink water and have regular bowel movements, and please pray that God will not allow her to be in any pain or discomfort. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We hear your heartbreak and share in your deep sorrow as you face this painful trial with your beloved cat. The love you have for her is evident, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting her and your heavy heart before the Lord. We know that God cares for all His creation, and He hears the cries of those who trust in Him.

First, we want to affirm your faith in God’s power to heal. Scripture tells us in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible." We believe in a God who performs miracles, and we join you in asking for His healing touch upon your cat. Whether through divine intervention or the wisdom He has given to veterinarians, we pray for her complete restoration. Jeremiah 32:27 says, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Let this truth anchor your heart as you wait on the Lord.

We also pray for your strength and courage as you care for her. The treatments you described sound overwhelming, but we know that God will equip you with the patience, gentuity, and endurance you need. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." We ask the Lord to steady your hands, calm your fears, and give you wisdom in each step of her care. May He grant you moments of peace and even joy amidst this storm, knowing that He is with you.

For your cat’s comfort, we pray that God would ease any pain or distress she may be experiencing. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We ask that He would surround her with His peace, even in her illness, and that she would sense His presence in a tangible way. If her time on this earth is drawing to a close, we pray that God would take her gently, without fear or suffering, just as you have asked. We trust that He is a God of compassion and mercy, and we ask that He would honor your love for her in the way He calls her home.

We also want to encourage you to release your fears and anxieties to the Lord. It is natural to feel devastated, but we know that God does not want you to carry this burden alone. 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We pray that you would find comfort in His promises and that He would fill the ache in your soul with His peace. Remember that even in grief, God is near, and He understands your pain.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious cat and her loving owner to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would heal her brain tumor and restore her lungs, bringing her back to full health according to Your will. If it is not Your plan for her to remain with us, we ask that You would take her gently, without pain or fear, in her sleep. Father, we also pray for strength and courage for her owner. Give her the patience and wisdom to care for her beloved pet, and fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort her in her grief, and remind her that You are near. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing that God hears your prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. May He grant you His peace and presence in this difficult time.

We’re so sorry you’re walking through this with your sweet cat. The love you have for her is evident in every line, and the ache of seeing her face something so hard, especially after the rough start she had before you, is something we feel deeply with you. Wanting to shield her from pain and to be the one to care for her well, that’s the heart of a faithful guardian, and it’s okay to feel completely broken right now.

The treatments you’re facing sound intimidating. Giving fluids with a big needle and holding a mask to her face three times a day is a lot to carry emotionally and physically. If you haven’t already, it might help to ask your vet clinic if a technician can walk you through the steps again, maybe even watch the first time to see your technique and offer tips. Sometimes having a friend or family member sit with you during those first treatments can steady your hands and heart too, you don’t have to do it all alone.

It’s so natural to dread the thought of a final vet visit when she’s already terrified. We’re holding that with you, and we’ll keep asking that her days be filled with comfort and that when her time comes, God spares both of you that trauma and simply takes her home in peace.

So we pray now:

Jesus, we ask You to surround this dear cat with Your mercy. Ease every discomfort and let her feel safe. We ask for healing, for the tumor, her lungs, her whole little body. Give her owner calm hands, steady courage, and tenacity for the treatments ahead. Help her eat, drink, and rest well. And if You choose not to extend her life this side of heaven, we ask that You let her fall into a quiet, painless sleep in the place she feels most loved, sparing her from fear and the drive she dreads. Hold her human close through all of this; You see every tear. In Your name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

The trial is heavy, and your soul is bowed down under the weight of this sudden affliction, for the creature you love is in low estate. Yet the Lord has not left you comfortless in this hour. From the eternal deep that lies under, from that measureless fountain, you shall draw strength which all eternity will not exhaust. You are weakness itself, but united to the Divine strength, you shall be infinitely strong. Wait upon the Lord, cast your nothingness upon His omnipotence, and He shall renew your strength, day by day, even as you are called to these tender but difficult ministrations.

The very least things that have to do with Christ have healing virtue in them. The leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, and from Him, the great conduit-head, abundant streams of healing flow. It may please Him to touch that poor suffering frame and drive the malady away. He who healed all that had need of healing while He sojourned here has lost none of His power. The costly balm of His atonement was not for man alone, for His mercies are over all His works, and the most silent creature is not beneath His notice. Yet mark this: the healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching. Link, then, your prayer with the word of truth, let your faith rest on the promise that hears the young ravens when they cry.

You dread the suffering, the trembling frame, the terror at the mask and the sharp sting of the needle. But when all your own strength fails, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. If He requires this service of you, He will give you hands steadied by His own grace. You shall not be obliged to say, "I am sick," because the task is beyond nature; the Lord shall preserve you from that, and make the draught, though it seem bitter to the creature, a healing draught administered by love. The soldier who retires from the battle-field knows where the liniments are kept; so you, wounded in heart, know the great Physician. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. In your own sorrow, He will be very near.

Seek also the healing that is deeper than the body. You cry for life, aye, and for pardon and peace. He can breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace that passes understanding, which springs from the perfect remission of your sins. When Jesus is received by faith, He lifts all our sorrow from us in a moment, even the groanings over a creation that travails in pain. Believe, once more, that all the eternal penal consequences are gone from the forgiven man. For him, though these temporal griefs press sore, there is no condemnation. I will put My fear in their hearts, and they shall not depart from Me.

And what if the hour of her departure comes? You have prayed that He take her gently. Child, the Lord can make the weak ones strong in a moment, and raise them at once from bed to battle, or, as you plead, give release as in a whisper. The very leaves are for healing, and that means the least dreaded, the softest path, may be the one appointed.

But I press this upon you: As the poor woman arose from her fever to minister, so strength to minister comes with healing. You feel utterly without strength; good. The Christian has no other strength than that which comes from God. He is the glory of our strength, let us keep to that. With God-reliance you work impossibilities. You will take up this albuterol mask as though it were the very towel with which to wash the feet of the Lord's poor little ones. I do not ask you to pray for strength merely, but to cry for life from the dead! While you are yet without strength, believe that Christ died for the ungodly, and that His tender care extends even to this frail creature.

Therefore, cast yourself upon Him. Let the trial drive you deeper into the fountain. And whether she be raised up to purr at your side once more, or whether the Lord gather her little spirit into a creation no longer subject to vanity, you shall find Him faithful. God bless you and keep you ever so near to that pierced side whence flowed blood and water for your own healing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The weight of grief you bear over this creature is not to be dismissed. A tender heart toward the things God has made is a good gift, for even the sparrow is not forgotten before Him. But take care lest this sorrow sink you deeper than is profitable, for a soul overwhelmed cannot pray aright. You ask for healing and a gentle end. Both are in His hand, and He is not unmindful of your tears. Yet know this: affliction, whether in man or beast, is permitted not to crush us but to draw us upward. You are broken, you say, and your soul feels destroyed. Hear me. The vessel that is shattered by every earthly loss has not yet learned to rest wholly in the Maker. The cat’s suffering pierces you because you love it, and love is a noble thing. But reflect: is your soul not of greater worth than many cats? God has given you charge to show mercy to this creature, and you do well to ease its pains and administer the remedies. The mask, the needle, the fluids, these are burdens, yes, but do them as acts of service, committing the outcome to the One who can heal with a word or call back the breath at an appointed time.

Yet beware of making your peace dependent on the recovery of a beast that returns to dust. Would you cling so fiercely to a shadow that you forget the substance? Your prayer is fervent, and I do not chide you for it. But let your petition end always with, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” For He knows what is best for all His creation, and His love is surer than your fear. When we fear suffering more than we trust the Healer, we weaken our own hands. Do not say your soul is destroyed; lift up your head, for Christ has overcome the world. If the cat is granted more days of comfort, give thanks. If it is taken, whether in sleep or otherwise, trust that the Lord of life does no wrong. Your desire to spare it the terror of the last ride is tender, and perhaps He will grant that mercy. But do not think that its final moments depend on your control. Commend it to God, who cares for all things, and then set your heart on the things above, where there is no decay.

Take up this trial as a medicine for your own soul. It teaches you how frail all mortal things are, how quickly the loveliest comfort slips away. Let it drive you to cling more tightly to the Rock that never fails. For what is this life but a voyage through many storms? None escapes sorrow; only those who anchor in Christ are not swallowed by it. I have seen souls more ravaged by the loss of a pet than by the loss of eternal treasures. Examine yourself: has your love for this creature drawn you closer to the Lord, or has it become an idol that demands your whole heart? You may care for it, weep for it, and ask for its healing, for that is human. But do not let its condition dictate your faith.

Pray, and I will pray with you, that the compassionate God would ease this cat’s pains, grant you strength and steady hands for the treatments, and in His time give it a peaceful end if that be His will. Yet far more I pray that you would receive the peace that surpasses understanding, which is not found in the health of an animal but in the arms of the Crucified. He who bore the stripes for your soul also carries the sorrows of His creatures. Cast your care on Him, and let this affliction teach you to number your own days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom. Do what you can, then rest in His providence. He is good, even when we cannot see the goodness.

I ache with you as I read about your beloved cat and the crushing weight of her diagnosis. When it feels as though the ground has given way, the Psalms remind us that we can pour out our heart before God, for He is a refuge for the broken and weary. He is not distant from your grief; He draws close to those whose spirits are crushed.

The tasks ahead of you, the mask, the needle, the constant care, seem like more than you can bear. Yet God is the One who gives strength to the exhausted. Like David praying, “Be my strong habitation where I may continually resort,” you can keep running back to Him moment by moment. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words, carrying the weight of what you cannot even say. You do not have to be strong on your own; His power is perfected in your weakness.

You are right that all things are possible with God, and you can ask boldly for her complete healing. Jesus taught us that not a single sparrow falls without the Father’s care, so every detail of your dear companion’s life matters to Him. Ask and keep asking, yet hold your petition with open hands. True prayer is not about making deals or bending God to our wishes; it is about aligning our hearts with His perfect will. Sometimes He heals through medicine and the courage He supplies; other times, He uses even this painful season as a chisel, carving away our self-reliance and deepening our dependence on Him. That doesn’t lessen the hurt, but it means the suffering is never without purpose. Weeping may endure for the long night, but joy comes in the morning, whether in this life or the one to come when every tear is wiped away.

I know you dread the thought of her final moments being filled with terror at the vet. Pour out that fear to the One who triumphed over all darkness through the cross. Christ’s victory reaches right into your home, pushing back anxiety and covering her with peace. Your prayers are not empty words; they are living and powerful, bringing God’s comfort into her resting place. A heartfelt, persistent prayer of a person who trusts God accomplishes much.

So as you face the albuterol mask and the fluids, lean into that promised strength. When you feel you cannot take another step, remember that those who wait on the Lord renew their strength. He will meet you in the kitchen, at her side, in the quiet of the night. I am praying with you for her comfort, for steady hands, and for God’s merciful covering over her. Whether that means a miraculous recovery or a gentle, fear-free slipping away in her sleep when the time comes, you are not alone. Your cries are heard.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
