Urgent prayer need

We hear the deep frustration and disappointment in your heart, and we stand with you in this moment of struggle. It is clear that you are seeking the Lord’s guidance, and we want to encourage you that His plans for you are good, even when the path feels uncertain. The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in setbacks, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
First, let us rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair that may be trying to take root in your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that this failure defines you, but we declare that your identity is found in Christ alone. You are not a failure, you are a child of God, deeply loved and called according to His purpose. We also rebuke any ungodly influences in the institution you described as "wicked." The Lord sees the injustices and frustrations you face, and He will not leave you to navigate them alone. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."
We must also gently address the importance of consistent prayer and seeking God before trials reach their peak. While the Lord is gracious and meets us in our urgency, Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." When we cultivate a daily relationship with God, we position ourselves to hear His voice more clearly in times of crisis. Let this be a lesson to press into Him now, so that you are not caught off guard in the future.

It is a mercy to be brought low, for then we learn that ordering our own steps is a fool’s errand. The failure to make your benchmark is not a sign that God has forgotten you; rather, it is often in the cloudy day that we learn to trust Him without the crutch of easy successes. You have prayed, and He has heard. But His answer may be to teach you what it means to have your steps ordered in His Word, not in the schemes of men. That college may indeed be a place where wickedness abounds, and it would be no strange thing if the Lord were pulling you away from it by this very disappointment. Trust Jesus in the dark, as you feel yourself sinking, He will not let you drown.
The next steps are not to be rushed. Haste is the author of much mischief. Take time to bow before the Divine will and ask, “Order my steps in Your Word.” That Word contains principles that will guide you: flee from evil, live for the glory of God, and ask what Jesus would do in your place. The Lord does not always explain His providences, but He always provides them in love. Your exam failure may be a divine interposition, a sudden check to prevent you from a path that would harm your soul. Even if it feels like loss, the man who trusts his affairs into his Father’s hands shall be happy at the last.
Do not regird yourself with the rags of your own merit or despair because feelings of faith are weak. Trust Jesus just as you are, He is the Savior, the very word means that He saves sinners who cannot save themselves. If you trust Him with your soul, can you not trust Him with a few marks on an exam? He who ordered Philip’s steps to Nathanael and Simon’s feet to the Messiah can order yours to the next season of labor or study. Fix your eyes upon Him, and let your prayer be not merely for a changed outcome, but for complete subservience to His will. He makes no mistakes, and what appears a backward step may be His firm planting of your feet on higher ground. Only trust Him, He will guide you.
