Urgent prayer for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this whole post. There is alot. Thankyou. Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and lesions on her lungs. There is no treatment. God is the only one that can save her now. She is having a hard time eating normal food and drinking water. She is also having problems with bowel movements. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in. Please pray that God will help her start eating normal food and drinking water. Please pray that God will help her start having regular bowel movements. Please pray that the medications and treatments we can do will help her feel better. We just found out she needs an antibiotic, an expectorant and a steroid on top of her anti nausea/ appetite stimulant pill, an appetite stimulant gel that goes in her ear, and a fluid IV which requires a tranquilizer beforehand, and an inhaler 3 times a day. Please pray that God will help me and guide my hands for all of these medications and treatments and that she won't fight me and that I won't cause her pain. The pills are a struggle. I have to pry her mouth open and cram them down her throat. Please pray that God will help me with all of these. Please pray that God will give ### and I the strength and the will to fight this and that she will be healed and make a full recovery. Please pray that when her time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet and I cannot bear the thought of her last moments being alone, shaking, terrified before she is put down. Please pray that if she needs to be put down we can find someone to come to our house. I know this is alot. ### is our world. This is destroying my heart and soul. Please pray for ###. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We hear your heartbreak and desperation, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up your beloved cat to the Lord, the Great Physician. We know that God cares deeply for all His creation, and we trust in His mercy and power to heal. The Bible tells us in Psalm 145:9, "The Lord is good to all. He has compassion on all he has made." We also remember that Jesus said in Matthew 10:29, "Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will." If God cares for even the smallest of creatures, how much more does He care for your beloved pet?

We pray that God will stretch forth His healing hand upon your cat. May He remove every trace of the brain tumor and lesions on her lungs, restoring her to full health. Lord, we ask that You ease her pain and discomfort, giving her relief from her suffering. Please help her to eat and drink normally again, and restore regularity to her bodily functions. We pray that the medications and treatments you are administering will bring her comfort and strength, and that she will respond well to them.

Father, we ask for Your guidance and strength as you care for your cat. Give you wisdom in administering her medications, and may Your hands be steady and gentle. We pray that she will not fight you, and that you will not cause her any additional pain. Grant you both the strength and will to face each day with hope and perseverance.

We also pray for peace in your heart, knowing that God is in control. If it is His will to take your cat home, we ask that He do so with mercy and gentleness. May she pass peacefully in her sleep, without fear or distress. If it becomes necessary to make the difficult decision to say goodbye, we pray that you will find a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your home, allowing her to be surrounded by love and comfort in her final moments.

We know that this is a tremendously difficult time for you, and our hearts ache with yours. But we take comfort in knowing that God hears your cries and sees your tears. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lean on Him, dear one, for He is your strength and refuge.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would hear our prayers and answer them according to Your perfect will. We trust in Your goodness and love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. We pray for a miracle of healing for this beloved pet, but we also pray for Your peace and comfort to surround this dear one who is hurting so deeply. May Your presence be a tangible reality in this time of trial. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face and trusting in His promises. Remember that He is close to the brokenhearted, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep crying out to Him, for He hears and answers prayer. We also encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you during this difficult time. You are not alone in this battle.

We ache with you as we read about your precious ###. The love you have for her is so clear, she is your world, and seeing her suffer is breaking your heart. Please know you don't have to carry all of this alone. The exhaustion, the fear, the desperate crying out to God, all of it is real, and He is near.

Right now, the practical weight of those medications sounds overwhelming. If you haven't already, ask your vet if there are easier ways to give the pills, a pill pocket, a small bit of wet food, or a pill shooter can sometimes help avoid prying her mouth open and reduce the struggle. Some medications can also be compounded into a liquid or transdermal gel, which might ease the stress for both of you. Even one small change could make a difference in your daily routine and help preserve your energy. Also, if a friend or family member can sit with you for an hour or hand you the next dose, let them. This is the time to accept any offered help.

For the fear you carry about her final moments, consider calling a mobile veterinarian or a hospice vet service now, before an emergency. Having a plan in place, knowing someone can come to your home when the time comes, can quiet that dread and free you to be present with ### today. You are doing everything you can, and that love is a gift she feels.

We're holding you and ### up in prayer.

Jesus, look on this beloved cat and her grieving family. Calm ###’s discomfort, ease her breathing and her pain, and in Your mercy help her to eat, drink, and rest peacefully. Guide these hands as they care for her, and give steady strength for each day. When the time comes, let it be gentle, at home, surrounded by love. Hold this heavy heart, and let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard it now. In Your name, Amen.

The creature, though it cannot know the mystery of redemption, is yet under the watchful eye of Him who marks the sparrow's fall. In this hour of anguish, it is not a small thing to pour out your heart before the throne of grace for one of His living works. The tender mercy of our God stoops to the very dust of our affections, and He has given you liberty to bring every care, however humble, to His feet. Your desperate cries are not lost in the void; they enter the ear of the Lord of Sabaoth.

When strength fails and the task of nursing this poor suffering companion becomes a heavy burden, remember the promise: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." It is for such times of utter faintness that He increases power to the powerless. You are called now to lean upon the arm invisible, to obtain strength for each hour, grace for each pill, patience for each difficult handling. The hands that pry open the mouth and administer the medicine will be guided and steadied by a mightier hand, if you look to Him. Your fear of causing pain is known, and even the least sigh of a troubled heart He does not despise.

The healing leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of all wounds, and there is no corner of suffering into which His mercy cannot reach. Whether it be His will to restore this little life or to take it gently into His own keeping, His mercy goes before you, preparing the way. Do not trouble your soul with dark forebodings about a dreaded end, but leave that hour in His sovereign care. He who tempered the wind to the shorn lamb can grant a quiet passing, even in the familiar comfort of home, if that be His design. The tempest of your spirit cries out, but there is a calm harbor in the tender mercy of our God, who pities His children with a father's heart. Lay hold of His promise, wait upon Him in the darkness, and trust that, even now, mercy is on the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out your heart over this little creature, and I feel the weight of your grief. The love you bear for this cat is a spark of that divine mercy which the Lord has planted in every soul. It is no small thing to show pity to a suffering animal; for “nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy,” and when we are merciful, we reflect our compassionate God who makes the sun rise on the evil and the good. Yet consider: if you are so moved by the temporal pain of a beloved beast, how much more should you yearn for the eternal healing of your own soul and the souls of others? Let this anguish teach you to thirst for heavenly things, where there is no death, no tumor, no trembling fear. Your very capacity to love so deeply is a gift; harness it for almsgiving, for caring for the poor, for showing mercy to your neighbor. For “alms deliver from death,” and the oil of mercy kindles a great light in the darkness.

You cry out for a miracle of healing, and it is right to pray: “Lord, have mercy upon me.” God hears the desperate cries of His children. He numbers the hairs of your head and marks the sparrow’s fall. Trust that His mercy is over all His works. He may restore your cat’s health; He may quiet her suffering and take her gently in sleep. In either outcome, He is worthy of praise. But do not let fear of the future devour you. The thought of those last moments at the vet, the terror you imagine, the shaking, these are indeed heavy burdens. Yet remember that the yoke of the Lord is easy and His burden light compared to the crushing weight of despair and unbelief. Sin and worldly care are like thorns: whichever way you turn them, they prick you. But spiritual things are like a pearl; they cheer the heart in every trial. Entrust her final breath to the God who is “full of mercy and loving-kindness.” He will not abandon her, nor you. Pray for a peaceful passing in her sleep, and if it must be otherwise, pray that He sends someone merciful to your home. Meanwhile, do not let your soul be torn apart by what may never happen. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

The struggle with the medications is real, and your hands tremble. But here is your cross to bear patiently. As you pry open her mouth and hold her little body, offer that labor to God. He gives strength to the weary. The same mercy that sustains you in prayer will steady your fingers. And if you fail, if she fights, do not rage against yourself. God sees your love; He accepts the imperfect sacrifices of a contrite heart. Let this trial also teach you compassion for others who nurse the sick, who care for the dying, who face the loss of those they cherish. Out of your own sorrow, show mercy, for mercy is the queen of virtues.

Above all, do not let this affliction drive you into the pit of despair. The enemy would use even a beloved pet to plunge you into darkness. Resolve instead to cling to hope, the hope of the resurrection, where all creation will be set free from its bondage to decay. Your cat’s life is fleeting, but your soul is eternal. Let every tear be a prayer; let every sigh be a longing for the day when God will wipe away all tears. Go now, pour out your petitions, and do not cease. But also lift your head and give thanks. For the God who hears your cry is merciful, and He will give you what you truly need.

I hear the deep anguish in your words, the kind that wrings the heart and fills every thought with the weight of what you are carrying. It is right to pour all of this out before the Lord. He is not distant from your desperation. In the days of trouble, when there is nowhere else to turn, the cry “I trust in Thee” is a powerful prayer in itself. And that is where you are, your trust is in God because no one else can help.

But as we come to the throne of grace, we must always remember that prayer is not finally about getting our will done on earth. It is about opening the door for God to do what He desires. Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy will be done.” That does not diminish your love for your little one; it places her in the hands of the One whose mercy endures forever, whose goodness is steadfast, and who is plenteous in mercy to all who call upon Him.

So by all means ask for healing, for the tumor, the lesions, the struggles with food and water. Ask for steady, gentle hands as you administer the medications. These are not small things, and the Lord invites you to cast every burden on Him. He knows the exhaustion, the way your heart aches at prying open her mouth and the dread of causing her pain. In prayer, the Spirit often ministers not by immediately changing the outward circumstances, but by bringing comfort and assurance to your own heart. He can give you a steady calm as you care for her.

Yet hold even these dear requests with an open hand. Sometimes God’s answer is not the outward miracle we demand, but the mercy of His presence and the strength to endure. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and the Lord Jesus answered, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” That was not cruelty; it was a deeper mercy. So when you pray for her to eat and for her body to work again, also pray, “Lord, have Your complete way in this. Show me Your paths, and teach me Your ways. I lift up my soul to You; show me Your lovingkindness in the morning.”

When you think of her final moments, you are right to long for mercy. You are asking that God would take her quietly at home, spared from the terror of the car and the clinic. Pray that, but also rest in His character. The Scriptures declare that “He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy,” and that same sovereign God is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. He knows the falling of every sparrow; He surely sees the trembling of your cat and the breaking of your own heart. You can trust that whatever He allows will not be a mark of indifference. He is good, ready to forgive, and His tender love is beyond our understanding.

In all this, do not feel you must hold everything together by the volume or intensity of your prayers. You are calling upon the Lord, and He will answer according to His wisdom. Wait for Him as the psalmist did: “Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.” In that waiting, you may find that the peace of God rises in your spirit, not always a guarantee of physical healing, but the deep confidence that you are not alone, and that nothing escapes His notice.

So let your prayer end in confidence, not because you have received a promise of a particular outcome, but because you have placed her life and yours into the hands of a merciful Father. Let your heart get in harmony with His purposes, whatever they may be, and trust that He will show compassion. May you know His comfort, and may you see His goodness, even in these painful days. In Jesus’ name.
