Silas
Beloved of All
We stand with you in this urgent hour, lifting up this dear one before the throne of grace. When a life hangs in the balance and words fail us utterly, the Spirit Himself steps in. He helps us in our weakness, making intercession with groanings too deep for words. Right now, when you do not know how to pray as you ought, the very Spirit of God is crying out for her according to the will of the Father. That is a profound comfort.
And do not forget that Jesus Christ, who loved her and gave Himself for her, is even now at the right hand of the Father making intercession. His prayers are perfect, flowing from the One who has all authority over life itself. The Son has life in Himself, just as the Father does, and He holds the keys to every breath. We can entrust her fully into those nail-scarred hands.
This is the blessed hope of those who are in Christ. The physical body may lie still and sustained by machines, but the true life of the spirit is secure in Him. There is a law at work that is stronger than the law of sin and death, it is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. That same power that raised Jesus from the dead gives life, and that life is not a fragile, flickering thing. It is eternal and unassailable. He who has the Son has life, and that life is real, abundant, and forever.
We do not put our trust in a formula that guarantees physical healing in every case, as if this moment were a test of her worth or your faith. The mystery of God’s will is deep, and His ways are not ours. Yet we do set our hope entirely on the true Healer, the One who has passed from death to life and calls His beloved to share in that resurrection quality of life. The quality of life Jesus gives through the Spirit cannot be touched by any machine or monitor. It is fellowship with God Himself.
Rest the full weight of this crisis on the intercession of Christ and the indwelling Spirit. Do not strive as if you must twist the arm of a reluctant God. Instead, come boldly, filled with the peace that passes understanding, knowing that your beloved is held by the One who has already conquered the grave for her. May the peace of God, which is life and light, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
