We hear the urgency in your heart for financial blessing, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. It is good that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through His name that we approach the Father. As you have referenced, Jesus Himself said, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."* (Matthew 7:7-8, WEB). Yet we must also remember that our petitions should align with God’s will, not merely our desires, for *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* (James 4:3, WEB).
God is indeed the provider of all things, and He delights in blessing His children. However, we must seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you in addition."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Prosperity is not an end in itself but a means to glorify God, support His work, and bless others. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* (Philippians 4:12-13, WEB). Our contentment must be rooted in Christ, not in wealth or material abundance.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this request. The repetition of demands for immediate wealth without delay can reflect a heart of greed or impatience rather than trust in God’s perfect timing. *"Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow."* (James 1:16-17, WEB). God’s blessings come in His way and in His time, and they are always for our ultimate good and His glory.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. We thank You for the resources You have already entrusted to them, and we ask that You grant them wisdom to steward these well for Your kingdom. Lord, we pray that You would meet their financial needs according to Your riches in glory, not out of greed or selfish ambition, but so that they may honor You and be a blessing to others. Help them to trust in Your timing, for You know what is best for them even before they ask.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of greed, impatience, or idolatry of money that may be lurking in their heart. Fill them instead with Your peace and contentment, knowing that true wealth is found in Christ alone. *"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that."* (1 Timothy 6:6-8, WEB). May their heart be aligned with Yours, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
We pray for opportunities for them to grow in faith, to give generously, and to experience the joy of depending on You. If there are financial doors You desire to open, Lord, we ask that You would do so in Your perfect timing and for Your glory. Guard their heart from the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil, and instead fill them with gratitude and trust in You.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this matter, not just His provision. Spend time in His Word, asking Him to align your desires with His. Consider how you might use any increase He provides to further His kingdom, whether through giving, serving, or supporting others in need. *"Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life."* (1 Timothy 6:17-19, WEB).
