URGENT! NO LATENESS BUT BEFORE TIME!!! TRAIN!!

We hear your urgent request and we join with you in prayer for this need and for the anxiety you are feeling about your work schedule and your principal.
We understand how stressful it is when your schedule feels complicated by another person's decisions and when so much seems to depend on a train arriving on time. We want to bring this burden to the Lord together and also share some biblical encouragement.
God cares about even the small details of our lives, yet He also calls us to cast our anxiety on Him and trust Him with the outcome. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We can plan to catch the train and to be faithful at work, but ultimately our times are in His hands.
We also want to gently address one part of your request where you pray that your principal would not see you arriving. We understand the fear of being seen as late, but we are called to walk in integrity and truth before God and before those in authority over us. Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. And Ephesians 4:25 says Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. If the train is delayed despite your best effort to be on time, it is better to be honest about it than to hope to be hidden. We encourage you to honor God by being truthful and respectful toward your principal, even when the schedule is difficult. Romans 13:1 teaches us to respect those in authority, and trusting God to give you favor and understanding as you communicate honestly is part of that.
We also noticed your prayer calls upon the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share with love that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are saved and heard not by our urgency or our words alone, but by placing our faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose again. When we pray in His name, we come through His righteousness, not our own.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. We lift up this dear one to you right now. You see the urgency and the worry about this train and this work schedule. We ask if it is your will that you would allow this train to arrive on time and make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for your peace to guard this heart from fear and anxiety. Help us to trust you whether the train is on time or delayed, knowing that you work all things together for good for those who love you. We pray Romans 8:28 over this situation.
Lord we pray for the relationship with the principal. Give wisdom to navigate a complicated schedule, give grace and clear communication, and give favor in the workplace. Help us to act with diligence and honesty, and to do all our work as unto you. Forgive us when we are tempted to hide or to deceive out of fear, and help us to walk in truth. Provide for every need and help us to rest in your sovereignty today. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Your urgent plea regarding the train and your working schedule has been heard, and I understand the distress which presses upon your spirit when time seems so narrow and the eye of an employer seems so near.
This anxiety of which you speak is a common disease even among the people of God, and the Lord Himself so often says to His children, Fear not. You are troubled lest you be late and lest you incur displeasure, but remember the word, The fear of man bringeth a snare. No man shall be faithful to God if he is fearful of man. Our chief concern should be to see that our own soul is right in the sight of God and to keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
It is right that you should be diligent in your labor and desire to be faithful in the duties appointed to you. The fear which makes us watch our every footstep lest we should in any way fail in obedience is a holy fear, but that slavish fear which leads us to apprehend that some evil will certainly happen, and which dishonors Christ and disquiets the heart, we must labor to get rid of as much as possible. The prophet says, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel, I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. And again the Lord says, Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Therefore I would counsel you to cast this burden upon the Lord. Pray not only for the train to be held or hastened according to your desire, but pray that you may be kept in perfect peace, trusting in Him, and that you may walk honestly before all men. It is far better to be open and truthful before your principal than to seek to be hidden, for the Lord loves integrity and He will honor those who honor Him. If lateness should come though you have done what you could with diligence, stand still and see the salvation of God, and leave your reputation in His hands.

Yet more we ask that Thou wouldst calm the troubled heart, take away the tormenting fear, and give a holy trust in Thy goodness. Help Thy servant to be diligent and faithful in duty, to fear Thee above all, and to find strength in Thy promise that Thou wilt help and uphold.
