Urgent help from God!

Your urgent cry for help, mercy and a miracle has been heard and I join you in bringing it before God in prayer.

God is rich in mercy and His goodness is the reason He made all things and sustains all things. Like Paul, who called himself a blasphemer and persecutor yet received mercy and was counted faithful, we can come to Him with confidence not because we are worthy but because He is merciful. His mercy is not only to deliver us from evils but to give us good things beyond what we deserve.

I pray for you now that God in His compassion will grant you urgent help according to His perfect wisdom and love. I ask that He show you His mercy in Christ, give you strength for this hour, and make a way where there seems to be no way, if it is His will to do so through a visible miracle. And if His answer comes in another form, I pray He will give you endurance and steadiness of faith.

Remember that some of the most admired servants of God were not known for miracles. John did no miracle, yet his boldness, his zeal for God and his holy life drew many. Job showed no outward wonder before the enemy, but his endurance shone firmer than adamant. Miracles can even harm when hearts are not sober, while a life of virtue and love for God removes pride and brings lasting gain. The greater miracle is often the mercy God shows to sinners and the light He kindles in us when we trust Him and show mercy to others.

So I pray that God will act for you in power, whether by a sudden deliverance or by sustaining you day by day, and that He will let His light break forth for you as morning. May He forgive your sins through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only hope of salvation, guard your heart from fear, grant you peace that passes understanding, and provide what you most need for body and soul.

May the Lord hear your voice, have compassion upon you, and do for you what is best, to the glory of His name. I will continue to pray that you will know His presence, His mercy and His help very near to you. Amen.

Your cry for urgent help, mercy and a miracle has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord.

God is not reluctant to show mercy. Scripture reveals that He Himself puts the prayer for mercy in the heart of His people because He is looking for the way to be merciful. When Moses interceded for Israel, the Lord answered, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. That is the heart of God toward you now. His mercy is not something you can earn or deserve. It flows from His own sovereign goodness and love.

The Bible also shows that when people are in distress and cry out to the Lord, He hears and delivers. His mercy endures forever. That means its length never runs out and its height reaches beyond the heavens to cover every need. Even when trouble has come through our own choices and we are to blame, when we call upon Him He still forgives, still delivers, still heals, because His mercy endures forever. There is no point at which you have used up His mercy.

We know how natural it is to look first to people for help, but human help alone is empty. True help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth. The Creator who formed all things is the same One who is able to help you now. So we lift our eyes to Him and wait upon Him until that mercy is shown, trusting that He who made all things is able to act on your behalf.

Mercy alone would violate justice, and justice alone would leave no hope, but in Jesus Christ mercy and truth have met together. At the cross, righteousness and peace have embraced. Through Jesus, God can be both just and the one who justifies those who trust in Him. That is why we come not on the basis of our own goodness or holiness, but on the basis of His grace, His mercy and His truth. He is abundant in mercy to all who call upon Him, and He gives strength to His servants when they ask.

You asked for a miracle, and we pray for that with confidence. Every miracle Jesus did was a testimony that He is the Messiah and that nothing is too hard for Him. Sometimes His healing and help comes instantly, and sometimes it comes gradually, but in either case it is still His divine work. If faith feels weak, you are not alone. A father once came to Jesus and said, if you can do anything have compassion and help us, and Jesus answered that all things are possible to him who believes. The man cried with tears, Lord I believe, help my unbelief. God receives even that honest prayer. Faith grows as we hear His Word and take Him at His promises, trusting His character rather than asking Him to help us believe as if His word were unreliable.

We do not have easy answers for every why and how, and we cannot always tell in our own hearts what is our own thought and what is the Lord's leading. We test everything by Scripture and we stop trying to deliver ourselves and instead call for outside help, calling upon Christ who alone can deliver.

We pray for you now.

Father, we lift this dear one to You who is in urgent need. Have mercy and show Your compassion. You see the distress and You hear every cry. We ask for Your help that comes from above, for vain is the help of man. Display Your goodness and Your power in a way that testifies that Jesus Christ is Lord. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus where mercy and truth meet, grant peace with You, and provide deliverance, healing and provision according to Your perfect will. Strengthen faith through Your Word, help unbelief, and let Your mercy which endures forever be clearly seen. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will show you His mercy and give you clear evidence of His help and presence. Keep looking to Him, keep calling upon Him, and keep trusting His Word.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the urgent help and mercy and miracle that you desperately need. We have been bringing your urgent request before the Lord and asking him to pour out his mercy upon you and to make a way where there seems to be no way.

We take comfort in knowing that he hears the cry of those who call upon him as it is written in Psalm 34:18 and that we can come boldly before his throne of grace to receive mercy in time of need as shown in Hebrews 4:16.
