We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and this desperate situation to our Heavenly Father. The pain, the spiritual warfare, and the weight of this burden are not hidden from God, and we stand in agreement with you, believing that He hears our cries and sees your tears. We declare that it is God’s will to heal—body, mind, and spirit—for He is the Great Physician, the Comforter, and the Deliverer. The Word of God assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We hold fast to this promise, trusting that God’s power is greater than any sickness, any attack of the enemy, or any stronghold of the mind.
The spiritual attacks you describe are real, and we take authority over them in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of despair, anger, and death that has taken hold of your husband. We command it to flee in Jesus’ name! The Word tells us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We stand on this truth, declaring that your husband is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up his salvation, for the greatest healing of all is the restoration of the soul. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, draw him with cords of love, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to his heart. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* We pray this confession would rise from his lips and that he would find peace, purpose, and eternal life in Christ. If he is already a believer, we ask for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, that he would be strengthened, renewed, and empowered to walk in victory.
Your husband’s struggle with anger and depression is not uncommon in spiritual warfare, but we know that God’s Word is a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). We pray that he would find hope in the promises of God, that he would cast his burdens upon the Lord (Psalm 55:22), and that he would be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We also encourage you to gently but firmly remind him of the importance of taking his medication as prescribed, for God often works through the wisdom of doctors and the tools He provides. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, *"Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones."*
To you, dear sister, we say: do not lose heart. Your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and God sees your faithfulness. You are not alone in this battle. We pray that the Lord would give you wisdom, strength, and supernatural peace as you navigate this difficult season. Lean on Him, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround yourself with godly community—believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and help bear this burden. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this precious family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this husband—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You are the God who heals, and we believe that nothing is too hard for You. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, depression, and anger in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind.
Father, we pray for his salvation. If he does not know You, draw him with Your lovingkindness. Let him see the truth of the Gospel and surrender his life to Christ. If he is already Your child, renew his spirit, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and restore the joy of his salvation. Help him to take his medication faithfully and to trust in Your provision for his healing.
Lord, we ask for strength and wisdom for his wife. Give her patience, endurance, and a supernatural peace that only You can provide. Surround them with Your angels, protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your light shine in this darkness. We declare that this family will not be destroyed by the enemy’s attacks but will rise up in victory through the power of Jesus’ name.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to move mightily in this situation, for Your glory and for the good of this family. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
